I'm Christina, and I'm 27. I tend to be brutally honest when I give advice or an opinion. I don't tell people what they want to hear but rather what they need to hear. They don't always appreciate it at first, but I usually get a thank you in the end.

Hi! I'm from Miami.... and I am planning to move to California. I am almost done with college and since I'm a Mass Communications/Broadcast Journalism major, I think there's a lot of opportunities there. I also had an internship that has opened a lot of doors, but what better place than California? I am in love with the idea of living in California, but I'm terrified of earthquakes. I have a lot of anxiety and I have dreams that I'll be at the gym, and there will be an earthquake. Or that I'll be at work, and it will hit... or that my boyfriend and I will be driving, and then an earthquake will happen. I'm terrified! I did a little research on it, but it's not the same as getting an opinion of someone who lives there. If you live in California, can you tell me a little bit about it? And if there are any earthquakes... and what their like? I would appreciate it greatly! Thank you!

I haven't been living in California as long as the previous advicers have, but I can say that Earthquakes really aren't too bad. I heard on the news that there are lots of small earthquakes every day but you never feel them. The bigger ones are pretty rare. I've been in Los Angeles for about 9 months, and there's been a few earthquakes since I've been here, but I never felt them.

I don't think there's anything to be scared of. Earthquakes are something that can't be prevented. I think they should be the last thing you should be scared of. Hell, you live in Florida. You guys are pounded with a trillion hurricanes a year. Earthquakes don't seem like much in comparison. Don't be scared. I was too before I moved out here (I'm from NY), but I'm kind of at ease about them now. :)

If you really like this guy, just bring it up with your mom. Tell her there's this guy that you like & are interested in dating. Tell her that he's really nice, and very sweet, and then ask if you can date him. If she says no, maybe bring up the idea of having her meet him and his parents so she can get a better idea of what type of boy he is. If she agrees, great, but if not you need to end it & follow her rule.

So when i told my stylist that i wanted to grow my hair out, she told me that i should still be getting it cut every month. She does a good job with my hair and all but i feel like she's just trying to get more money for me. If hair grows from the roots then I dont understand why getting it cut more regularly would help it grow faster. Can someone please explain this to me. Also, any other tips to help me grow out my hair would be much appreciated.

Cuts aren't necessary every month. You really should only be getting trims when you really need them. You should only get trims once every 3-4 months. Trims protect your hair from dying, and it's really healthy. It helps your hair grow.

Melody suggested hair growth vitamins. And I'm going to have to agree with that. I bought some about a month ago, and my hair has gotten longer. My hair was maybe an inch or 2 past my shoulders, and now it's mid back. It definitely works, so I would try getting some. You can get them at any vitamin store whether it be GNC or the Vitamin Shoppe. I'm pretty sure I got mine from GNC and I got the bottle of 60 for about $9.99 which is fairly decent.

I definitely suggest taking them if you'd like to see a difference in your hair length, or if you just want it to be healthier. Good luck!

Do you usually use pads or tampons? Do you know any brands that work good?

I, myself, usually use tampons. I used pads up until I was about 16, and I absolutely hated them. I felt every leak, it felt like wearing a diaper, and I was much more likely to leak through my clothes.

Tampons are really comfortable, and very absorbent. The best brand of tampons is definitely Tampax Pearl. I use the scented ones just because they're awesome. Tampax Pearl is kind of pricey, but it's because it's the best brand out there, and you pay for quality.

The only thing you need to be careful with is TSS. Toxic Shock Syndrome comes from using tampons. You'll only get it if you wear them constantly and don't switch back & forth between a pad & a tampon. If you wear a tampon when you're not on your period, you're at more of a risk but I think if you're smart about it, you have a high chance of not getting it. So, if you do decide to wear tampons, make sure you research on TSS a little so you know what precautions to take to keep yourself safe. :)

hi, my name is Caitlin and i am 14 years old. i will be 15 july 28. okay. i have had acrush on a boy since his first day of school. it was sort of obvious i liked him. even the teachers asked if we were dating. anyway... on the day of promotion he told me he liked me. i told him i liked him. he is not aloud to date til he is 16, but he acts like i should ask him out. on the day we got together with a whole bunch of friends he would put is head on my sholder and put his hands on my arms. he got really close to me and it made my stomach do flips. what should i do? ask him out or wait until he asks me when he is 16?

I think if his parents have set the rule that he can't date til 16, he should follow it. It may be a stupid rule, but it's his parents rule & they've set it for a reason.

Now, if he disagrees with the rule which I'm assuming he does, why doesn't he just talk to them about it? If he tells them that there's a girl he really likes, and he's willing to take things slow (especially because you are both around 14 or 15 & shouldn't be moving fast to begin with), maybe they'll allow it.

I had the same rule that he had when I was 14 and I talked to my parents about a boy I liked and even brought him over so they could meet him. Once they saw he was nice, they really softened up to my suggestion, and I've been dating ever since. I'm 18 now. All he needs to do is talk to them calmly, and not through a fit, and maybe you can even meet his parents. :) Suggest that to him and see what he says. If he really likes you, maybe he'll be open to bringing it up with them. Good luck!

5 inches is average for men, and there's nothing wrong with being below average or above average. I would still consider your size very normal. Remember that not everyone can be built like a porn star.

Just keep in mind that it's not the size that matters, but how you use your member. Size is not the pleasure factor here. :)

Why does my man always need to know everything that I do? I have a cellphone that I bought and he wants to know every minute who I am talking to and what I text when I text. He wont let me go out or have any friends. I am just expected to sit home and wait til he gets home from events in his life. Is this love or he loves to control women? He did this with his ex and now me. I didnt know that he was like this. He is the same way as when I am on the internet. I have to even let him know when I have to pee or take a shit!!!

Take this as a warning, and a suggestion that you should put into action: DUMP HIM.

Controlling behavior is a sign of abuse. It may just be trust issues and making you tell him everything now, but the longer you stay with him, the more out of hand his behavior will get. If you stay, this situation will get more and more dangerous and will do nothing to benefit you.

Please dump him. You will be doing yourself a mighty big favor.

I usually don't have a favorite song, and I can almost never pick just one, but right now I'd have to say Mindset by Every Avenue is my favorite.

Do blood tests usually hurt more than shots? Is there a lot of swelling like when I have had shots in the past? I have to have one done and I am like terrified of it! Help?

This isn't something we can really tell you. Not because we're not doctors or anything, but because everyone has a different perception of pain so what hurts you could tickle to us, and vice versa.

If you really want an opinion though, I'd actually say that a blood test is worse. Shots are done in a second. When they do the blood test they usually keep the needle in you so that they can get the blood, and sometimes they need more than one container of blood. The containers are small & fill quick, but the needle is still in you a lot longer than it would be if you were to get a shot.

But in my opinion, they don't really hurt. As far as whether or not they'll hurt you, none of us will know because your tolerance for pain is different than ours. However, if you dislike shots, you'll probably dislike blood tests too. If you need a technique or so to take your mind off of it, take a deep breath & count to 10.

Ok. my bf and i have been together for over a year. and well, now that we've gotten so close he's started to let his manners and thoughtfulness slide. example: the other day i was asking him to take me out for dinner to celebrate how long we've been together, and he just blew me off and told me i wasnt that important and we could just eat sandwiches at home. and i have an inclination that he might be cheating. i was looking at his text messages the other day, and some girl ( im not going to say her name) has been texting him talking about her sexual desires with him. and when i confronted him about it he slapped me and told me i was a nosy bitch. ugh i know i should dump him and move on, but i really and truly care for him. he's the first boyfriend i've ever had that i've actually loved.

If you know that you should dump him, then why would you let your feelings stop you from doing that? Who gives a damn if you love him, or what number boyfriend he is, he slapped you across the face. I'm pretty sure your safety should come first. Dump him before it goes any further than a slap.

If it is then what kind of water should it be? Distilled, vitamin water gatorade? Does it matter? can drinking water make your period go faster or is it something some girl at my school made up?

I am trying to pierce my own nose what do i use just the stud and some pliers or a sewing needle or??? I know you can pierce your own nose and my mom isn't going to pay for it so how do I do it myself?

Have you asked your mom if she'll pay for it? If you haven't asked, you can't assume she'll say no. And if she does say no, why not ask your dad?

I don't recommend piercing it yourself. Lots can go wrong with it. Your biggest problem would be infection. If you don't want an infection, get it pierced by someone who knows what they're doing.

The average penis size is 5 inches. You're only 14 & have more growing to do, so just relax. You're okay.

I'm a 14 year old girl and i weigh 131 ibs, im also 5'1. I'm not fat, i'm just a bit chunky and i also have an athletic body. I just want to how many pounds would I lose if i dont eat for 2 whole weeks while jogging 1-2 miles everyday.

I don't recommend starving yourself. There are easier ways to lose weight.

Start by cutting fatty foods out of your diet. Don't drink anymore soda, & go for walks regularly. Exercise as much as you can.

Starving will only hurt you. You'll lose your muscle and your body will store fat. Once you start eating again, you'll gain everything back that you lost & you'll be heavier than before. Just lose the weight the healthy way. Starving yourself is not the way to go.

I really think that you're in this relationship for the comfort. Being single would make you uncomfortable because you're used to how being in a relationship feels.

I think you need to end this relationship. Clearly you're unhappy with it, and don't feel as if you're yourself anymore. Your boyfriend sounds a little abusive to me. He may not be abusive physically, but he is definitely emotionally abusive towards you. He's cheated on you, he lies to you, and he puts you through hell with little to no shame for his actions. He's also in denial about having a mean streak.

You deserve better. And at this point in your life, you should well know that you don't deserve the bullshit he's putting you through. End the relationship & take some time out for yourself before going into another relationship. Have fun being single. Go out for drinks with girlfriends, talk to your parents - really try & re-establish those relationships if they've dwindled.

I don't think you should do anything to help your current relationship with this man. The best thing you can do is to end it. There is no helping someone who refuses to see a problem. The first step to a better life is admitting that there's a problem. If he can't admit it, he'll never get better. End the relationship & take a mental health day. You're better off being single, independent and strong. You're 33. You don't need a man to make you happy or who you are.

So, my best friend and I are in the middle of a prank war. Nothing too mean, just harmless, funny, slightly annoying stuff. Today she went onto facebook and clicked the "like" button on EVERYTHING in my profile, pictures, news feed, etc., so when I signed in I had over 100 notifications and a text from her saying "You're going to hate me, rofl. love yooooou." It was really funny, but now I'm ready to get her back.

Well, you could comment on everything with only one letter so that you have to make a few posts on a certain thing to finish 1 comment. She'd get a ton of notifications & it'd probably be really annoying.

Usually around 15 or 16. They sometimes hire 16 year olds more though.

Jeans & t-shirt with comfortable shoes. I suggest taking an Aleve before you go because with all the standing around, your feet will hurt by the end of the night.
