My four friends and I were at the movies the weekend after school was out. So naturally, lots of people were there, including my crush. Don’t know him at all, to tell the truth. He goes to a different school, a couple years older- you know. I know him from friends and church and just other stuff. Anyways, we happened to go to the same movie lucky for me, and then his friend starts talking to us. And before we knew it, we were invited to my crush’s end of the year party that was the next day. My crush’s friend asked the address and stuff and my crush told him and the times and all that. So it was ok with my crush that we were going/invited. He knows who I am. Does this mean anything do you think that he was ok that we were going. I mean, he's older and all that, so it would be strange if we had showed up. What do you think? And any other thoughts?

Ok I'm 13/F . I will be starting a competative swim team tomorrow morning and it will last all summer. I will have practices 1 hour for 3 days a week and a swim meet (competion) every Thursday for 3 hours. My question is, can I expect to lose a few unwanted inches on my stomach, thighs and legs with all this swimming? (Im hoping maybe 2 maybe 3 in on thighs, 1 or 2 on stomach an 1 or 2 on arms) I'll rate!! :) thanx!

No sweetheart, it takes quite a bit more than that. Try 2 hours every morning of the week, and occasionally 2 more hours in the afternoon. And then try 3 day, 6 hour meets one or two weekends every month, and practice all year round. Then you can call it a "competitive swim team". No, you won't lose anything. nice try though =D

i have my party in 2 weeks and my period is supposed to come on that day! it would be horrible because there will be swimming ..! im desperate to delay it...if i dont drink anything for 5 days...or keep it very minimal..do you think it will delay my period? wont the body naturally not allow my period to come on time so it will keep the extra fluid? any way i can delay my period? dont say birth control because that wont delay it for another 2 months..it takes time or something for it to work..

excersize makes it slow down, but it could still come. you can still swim at your party and stuff if you wear a tampon, thats what i do becaause im a swimmer and i cant just take time off every month.

i baby sat this little boy a few months back and i met his brother at the same time one time we were out walking and he told me that his bro had wrote a suacide letter i didnt believe him.. but i've started hangin out with his brother whos my age, when i looked for a top in his drawer i found this note book i read the first line saw it was the letter, then he turned around and goes do u mind, so i put it back, but im really worried now i dont know whether to tell him i know, just be a friend and try to help him without telling him, maybe see if i can read the letter when he aint in his room some time i duno please help!

okay she there is this girl ( lets call her mary ) she copys me in everything i do and makes rude comments about my hair or my clothes and then the next day she has the same hair style or clothes and it gets really annyoing for example we do dance , cheering , and track together for dance i moved up in a class and i was higher then her in one class and she has to be the same level as me so she has her mom go in and complain that she isnt in my class and track since i am a fast runner she wasnt picked for varsity and she had her mom complain and for cheerleading since i am a flyer and she is a base she like told me that i wasnt cordinated enoguh to be a flyer and in ballet i got picked for a part with a group of people that she didnt get picked for and then she says to me your gonna fall off the stage and another example i wear my hair in a messy bun and she said it looked ugly and bad and the next day she wore it jsut like mine and i got this really cute blue and black baby phat jacket and she said it was too bright and ugly anf for dance pictures she wasnt ordering the same package as me and i told her what i was getting and she ordered the same one cause i was getting it and she always follows me around and does what i do and this has even gotten so bad that adults are notcing it like at dance they moved me away from her and changed my classes because she copys everything i do and follows me and this rude remakrs dont hurt my feelings they actually make me laugh and if she says something rude like you look bad and i just make a rude remark back like i look better then you could ever and i tried talking to her about this problem and she said that she dosent copy me this is soo annoying please help me and tell me what too do i rate high

Hi im a 16 yr old female. i need to get in shape for the swim season next year so i can go to state. ( so close last year) well ive gain some weight(now 150) and im on a diet now. it consists of mostly egg whites and absolutly no junk food, sugar, and everything else that will lead to weight gain. Now for my question: with the workout im doing should i stay with it or change some of the exercises. i get the fitness magazine and someone wrote in about change exercises. and is it good to not do the same thing over and over again. im also going to start going to a gym, should i also join and arobics class, but boxing looks fun. im very confused and i hope you can understand what im asking. thank for everything and sorry about my spelling.

I'm a swimmer myself on a year round club, and i happen to know that if you don't work out in the pool all year round, you will go nowhere. Your best bet would be to join a summer team at the YMCA or a country club, and even though the arent the best, it's water training and you need it. You could also join a USA swimming registered club, but they're expensive, believe me, i'm on one.

oh oh! i know this one! a couple of my friends and i did this for one of our friends. we threw a pool party at our neighborhood pool, bought decorations and water baloons at the dollar store, and invited ALL of our friends. then we talked to her mom and she voulenteered to get our friend to the pool and bring cake. All the guests were asked to bring snack foods and drinks too :D good luck and have fun!

I have 3 best friends and everything was great, until I started hanging out with this one girl, i'll call her Ashley. Well, I felt really bad for Ashley because her best friends,which are my friends too, stopped liking her because she REALLY got on their nerves. I thought that was wrong for them to not like her, but now im starting to see why. She is VERY annoying and shes just mean to her friends and follows people all the time. I can't be her friend anymore because when I was, my 3 best friends thought I liked her better. I also can't be friends with her because she is a total GEEK! I know this is mean but I tried telling her I couldn't be her friend and she didn't really get the message. Instead she asked me to go to an amusment park with her 2 days later. i've been in the same type of situation this girl is in, and it is not a fun place to be. what i suggest doing is sitting her down and talking to her and telling her EVERYTHING she has done that bugs you and your friends, and then give her a chance to change. she will get the picture and be scared that she'll be left all alone with no friends, and she'll work her behind off trying to get you to like her again. also, if you think she's a geek, try giving her beauty tips (descreetly) and help her to not be known as a geek anymore. just dont abandon her. she cant change on her own, and if you help her, she'll be forever grateful to you. Be nice, or she might go into depression like i did. good luck with this.

this is a really long story. to start out, were all 14, in 8th grade and catholic. well there its this couple (Anne&Bob). theres a girl(cat) whose a friend of ours...ive never really been able to stand her but i do to be nice. well Bob and i think thats Cat is hitting on Anne in a lesbian kind of way. shes always hugging on Anne (well on a lot of girls but now mostly her) and sitting on her lap and playing with her hair.shes kissed her on the cheek before but she never kissed her bf.. she dumped him last b/f for no appereant reason, shes constantly telling Anne that she loves her (anne thinks its just "sisterly" love) but basically, Bob and i have decided that she is bi but isnt going to come out anytime soon b/c her family is full of strict catholics...how should we/i approach Anne about this? Anne and Bobs relatioship is changing b/c anne feels like she needs space after being crowded by Cat all day long. they are good friends and Anne is one of those very emotional type people that is very concerned about being fair and looking at peoples feelings....i just dont want her to get into a situation like that and i doubt her bf would want her to either. btw, anne would never be gay...ive known her about twice as long as Cat. if you have any experience with this please help!

first, you're worrying farrr too much. girls are way emotional, and sometimes girls who are like BFF's are like that. for instance, a few of my friends are always hugging and sitting in our other friend's and my own laps. in fact, one of my best friend always sits on my lap and kisses me on the cheek, but i KNOW she isnt like that because she is in LOVE with boys. and all girls will say "i love you!" to their friends. i know i do, and im definately straight! dont worry so much!! confront cat online if you think it's really that bad!
