i like to read books but only if there good.the books that i like have to do with people my age(14)or around that,and also with them dealing with peer pressure of drug,smoking,drinking, sex, etc. but i could never find any books. i would like to know any books that you would suggest. the title and author would be greatly appresiated(sp?)

and a good author i enjoy is Lurlene Mcdaniel. Her books are sad, but really good.

There's a high school mixer tonight at the all guys school. (I go to an all girls high school so this is the only time I really see guys!) anyway, I have NO IDEA what to wear! I'm debating between a fitted tee and jeans or a jean skirt with leggins/tights underneath and a tee. Any ideas? I'm probably going shopping later so I can pick something new up. I wear pretty much any style so I'll rate good for ideas/opinions!

i like the skirt idea. like a destroyed one, with rips. i think those are so cute =). they look cute with like a long sleeve shirt that has button on it with a lace cami underneath.
for shoes so flats would lookcute.
the leggings/tights are cute too!

my friend has this and she says she gets tons of pop ups and the songs come out soudning quieter, but she says the songs aren't different and she burned me a cd using it and i would rate it like a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10.

i read and love all of those books and i'm pretty sure thta on the A list ones they're Anna percy on the covers. The Clique ones i'm thinking are Massie, Alicia, and Kristen. i figured it out on one of them but i can't remember which. As for the Gossip girls ones, my best friend, Kalee, and i fight aobut that all the time. lol

i'm going to gr10 next year and we gotta pick subjects to take. which one should i take? french or spanish? i live in canada so i guess french would be useful.. but i SUCK at french and i've never taken spanish before so they're going to start from like.. the stuff they teach you on dora the explorer so i guess i'll be okay in spanish.. but i don't know which one i should pick.. people say french is more useful but i guess i should get more people's opinions before i make my final choice. please help =)

I've heard from my friends older sister that french is challenging. but if your up for an adventure, try it out!
my friend's cousin is taking spanish and his cousin says it's pretty easy, but sometimes hard.
its your call! I would take spanish one eyar and french the next because your odler and smarter the next year.

i have read coloumns in magazines saying if you excersise too much it is damaging your body. is this true? i excersise at a gym for about 4 1/2 hours each week. i also do 30 mins of cardio at home. am i doing too much?

No, just make sure your not doing like 4 hours everyday and when your body says stop, then listen and stop.
just be careful and don't overdo it.

There's this huge show next month at school, and I volunteered to sing Carrie Underwood's "Jesus Take the Wheel". I know I can do it, I'm already halfway there perfecting it, but I need some tips. Can anyone who knows much about this subject give me great tips? Mostly including tone, airflow, and lots of vibrato? Thanks in advance.

You should keep practicing, but don't over do it. Do breathing excercises.. Breathe in and let it out for 10 seconds.
also to make you pronounce better, try singing. "Red leather, yellow leather, blue leather, yellow leather." i now it sounds weird, ut i'm a singer and it works.
Also try sing.

me and my boyfriend have been going out for almost three mouths and we still havent kissed. we havent even done anything outside of school.im starting to think that he's prude. what should i do? should i kiss him? if so should i kiss him on the lips or on the cheek? also i dont think he's ever kissed a girl before so i will be his first kiss. please help me because i really dont like going out with people and not being able to kiss them or make out with them. it bugs me when i see other people kissing in the hallway.

I think you should maybe like when your finished having a conversation otr have to go just be like, "well gotta go." then maybe kiss him on the cheek. Make the first time you kiss him on the lips something special. Somewhere special.

i was just wondering what people think of glasses. do you find them nerdy or attractive? i have to wear glasses fullo time and i am wondering if contacts are the way to go or should i wear glasses but i dont want to seem like a four eyes freak. any inputs are appreciated.

I like glasses because i have them and i just always thought they were cute. Contacts are good, they can make your eyes a different color which is awesome, so if you want to commit to them, go ahead and get them.

I just had a volleyball tournament recently. Well, I got a few injures. I can't extend my left leg without my knee hurting ((Could y'all tell me what's up with that? I skinned it pretty bad)) and I think I cracked my tailbone. And my muscles are real stiff. Can y'all tell me what I can do to relive this pain?

You should buy an Ace bandage and wrap your knee for one. Try stretching before each practice. It helps, i know i'm a volleyball player myself. If you cracked your tailbone, you wouldn't be able to walk or stand without being in excrushating pain. I sprained mine and it was pretty apinful. I would recomend gonig to a doctor to look at your knee ans tialbone. Other than that, just make sure to stretch and try ice hot patches on your tailbone area.

ok i just started going out with this guy yesterday and today at school he was seriously CLINGY and he said he loved me at the end o the day i was so freaked out how should i act around him what to i say cuz im not even sure if i like him anymore PLEASE HELP SOON 5's for anyone who helps at all

You shild say to him, "I need some space. Could you please back off a little." If he keeps being clingy, you might want to dump him. But if you really like him, then don't dump him, just talk to him. "I need my space." and "Could you maybe back off a little." are some good things to say.

My math 10 teacher has been acting really strange around me. He came up to me the other day and said "my wife's maiden name is the same as yours". He also said I reminded him of his wife when she was younger, and said it in a kind of romantic (yuck) way. Another time he caught me and my friend writing notes, and then he came up to me, tried to read the note, and then said "oh it's a love letter to me". Another girl heard and thought he was joking, because she said "I highly doupt that sir". But I know he was being serious. I always catch him staring at me. One day he heard me say the F word. He told me to stay behind after class. Instead of giving me crap, he said "I'm really suprised at you, but I'm just going to give you a warning". He was talking seductively. I know he was enjoying having me all alone.
It feels really gross and wrong of him. I am only 15. He's like old enough to be my father. What should I do, and is he being inappropriate or am i overreacting?

I think he's kinda inappropriate and that you should tell your mom or and older sister..someone you trust. Next time he says it to you, if your in private, never act like your flirting back. so tell a parnet or someone and maybe next time he does that to you just say, "Back off." try this is your in private thugh, i t might be embaressing in front of an entire class.

Do you know how early or late in age you can get dislexia?

and what are some signs that come with it becides words getting scrambled?

There is no age, usually before you're like older older. the signs are the scrambled words such as thinking that "big" is "dig". and words that are similar are other words that are similar to them. Also, you mis up numbers a lot. like "10" and "100". You can also mis up the days of the week thinking it "Tuesday" when it's "Thursday".

OK, see I'm going out with this guy...and he's really really sweet and nice and everything, he's what I think every girl would want. BUT the only thing is...he's not good looking....at all I guess...he's not like the ugliest person on earth...but he's just not cute at all. And like I'm afraid people at my school will make fun of me, because you know, Blue Valley..think about it..girls here..we judge...what do I do? Do I dump the guy? or do I keep on going out with this guy and ignore everything?

I say you keep going out with him. forget all the losers who say he's ugly. just say something like, "well he's gorgeous the way he is" but you wouldn't be meaning look wise. Ya know? I think if you really like him and he's perfect like you describe him,. you shouldn't let him go.

how do you make destroyed jeans...any ideas?...well i know you use paint and sisscors but i heard a cheese grater was good too?

You can try using bleach and i heard from my friends that razors work good too. I've never tried ti, but their jeans look really good!
