I never had Limewire before, but I heared from a lot of friends that it isn't good, at all. It gives off a lot of viruses and it's really slow.
I suggest getting Ares. It's a really great downloader. I've haven't had a problem with it yet, and I've had it for a few years now. No spyware, no pop ups, doesn't slow down your computer or gives off viruses. It's great! I highly recommend it. ♥

i used limewire for about 1 month and it started to mess up after that. so i deleted it and got bearshare. it is so much qucker, easier, and there are more songs. bearshare is much better

i have had limewire for 2 years now. i love it. if you have a firewall and virus protection then you got nothin to worry about. i also used to have Kazaa. that thing sucked ass.. not all the songs work on it and it wasnt good. hope this helps.

my friend has this and she says she gets tons of pop ups and the songs come out soudning quieter, but she says the songs aren't different and she burned me a cd using it and i would rate it like a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10.

i have it. alot of people think that it causes alot of viruses but iv only come across one that i got rid of. as long as you have a firewall and run regualr spyware/adware sweeps you should be fine ♥

I like it. I have had it for 2 maybe even 3 years now. No viruses. I can burn CD's using Limewire. It`s great. People say it causes viruses. It maybe cause viruses on THEIR computer, but not mine. It actually works pretty well & it`s fast. =)

verry worth it. its not a 'bratty' program or nucance, and easy to download. you can choose if you want it to run on startup or not and costomize alot of other stuff. it has movies and songs, and just to let you know, 'avi' is just noise... so yeah.
on the negitave side, it is illegal, but you dont get caught if you have less that 100 items that your sharing. you candownloade more than 100, you just have to move the folder. it is a big program too.
overall, it a great program. i just dont like it being illegal. all my friends use it though. its up to you.

I don't have dial up so it works really fast for me. I never had problems with it and I never had viruses or anything. It's really good and you can change the colors of it and everything. If you don't like Limewire, Ares is a really good one too.

I have dial up and it took forever to download anything. I am talking many hours.
It also pretty much made it impossible to do anything else while it was running.
I removed it because it just wasn't worth the trouble to me.
If you aren't on dial up it may be a better experience. :)
