My boyfriend is 16 years old has real bad family problems. He is often depressed and thinks about suicide a lot. He tells me that if I weren't in his life he would have already killed himself and that if we broke up he will probably kill himself. We have been dating for 3 years. How can I tell if he is being serious about killing himself? I'm afraid that if we break up that he is going to kill himself, so I feel obligated not to end the relationship. What do I do?

Sounds like this guy is not the guy you deserve to be with. You need to break up with him0 even if you feel guilty
If he kills himself.. it is NOT your fault.. he makes the stupid decision.. not you.. Its not like you are telling him to go kill himself... so DON'T feel guilty about this.. you should have no guilt..

Tell your school counselor, his parents, or a teacher about his suicidal thoughts... he needs help and he needs an adult to help him...

Another thing- stay away from him after you dump him (if that is what you decide to do- [I hope so]).. he might try to hurt you because you dumped him- "making" him kill himself...
If you ever come in contact with another suicidal person again.. tell an adult right away and stay clear of him or her.. it's very important to keep yourself safe!

I am an 18-year-old female and I feel as though my boyfriend controls me. He limits the girls I can talk to and talking to guys is definitely out of the question. In turn I feel as though I should do the same to him, so I do. Except I won't simply tell him to not go out at all. I will tell him to not go out 5 times a week, get drunk with his friends and pick up underage girls. Yet, I still feel guilty for telling him not to do this because I feel as though I have stooped down to his level and that I am now controlling him. He makes me feel this way as well. I love him, we are very close and have been dating for a long while, but what should I do?

If you love your boyfriend- you need to talk to him
Let him know how you feel about him controlling you.. and that you feel guilty controlling him too.. ask him if there is anything you guys can do to stop being so controlling of each other...
With a decent talk between you guys- you can work out the kinks in your relationship and become a less controlling couple...

There is a guy that have known for a while, but he has been dating a not-so-close friend of mine for most of that time. Over the times that we have spent together, or just chatted online, I've begun to fall deeper and deeper in love with him. I have known that I loved him for a while now, but did not want to ruin our friendship if he didn't feel the same way. A few days ago, he said that he liked me a lot, and wanted me as more than a friend. He was STILL dating the other girl, when he asks me to be his girlfriend. I want to explain why I rejected him, but I'm not sure how. And I also want to know what I should do about my feelings for the highlight of my life. Who just happens to be taken by someone else. I've already tried to forget about him, but I can't do it.

I want to check my friends AIM because I want to see if she's friends with someone I don't like. [ she won't tell me if she is or not ] and I know her password, and I just want to log on really quick, and then sign off and not go on it anymore. And I know her password and everything, I'm just afraid that if I go on it, someone'll IM me and I'll have to talk to them and they'll mention it to her and she'll find out and get mad. Is there anyway I can do it without her knowing? Like, is there a way I can sign onto her name while she's online? Or will AIM like, send her a notice or something that's she on at 2 places at once. Help?

You should just trust your friend (if she's already told you she isn't friends with the person) .. that's what friends do- they trust each other...
If I were you- I wouldn't invade your friend's privacy... you might mess up your friendship if she were to find out. If you mess up your friendship and loose your friend you'll regret ever going on her s/n and invading her privacy..

Yes.. this is kind of stupid-
If you like the guy's personality- then stick with him. He'll be the one that will treat you right...
those with "looks" don't care about their personalities.. they just want to look good. If you were to marry a person like that- it would probably end up in divorce...
I'm not saying that looks aren't somewhat important.. but personality is the most important

I love my girlfriend for her personality and her looks.. I guess I was lucky!

I have a younger friend which is 10 and going through puberty...but not really but she might sooner or later; but that's not the question. Her best friend has already sprouted breasts and its getting time that she really needs to get a bra. Her mother keeps on telling her she doesn't need one, and I think that's stupid! I see them popping out, and when I got mine, I wanted to wear one because they don't look really good under t-shirts! What can I do? I really want to help her and she needs my help. Should I buy her one? Maybe if she gets one, her mom mot just agree...

Hey-
You should just tell your friend's mom that your friend should get one because that was the age you got one. Tell your friend to confront her mom to ask for a bra- and that she really wants one. I don't see why your friend's mom has a problem- I would think most mom's would be proud of the daughter...
Remember- just have your friend talk to her mom or talk to her yourself and tell her that it is very important to her and she feels its time.

okay well im having a back-to-school party. what are some good ideas of decorations, games, stuff like that, with out being like an all-out-theme-party like i had when i was 7??

i am 14/f
there is this guy that i like and he knows i like him. but i don't know if he likes me, i still have to ask. i know how to do that part, but there is this other guy i just met and im always partnered up with him in health.
the question is, should i like the first guy and forget about (not completely) the second guy, or should i find out if the first guy likes me and still like the second guy anyway, or should i do something else. i need some guy help. thanx.

Seeing as tho you already let the first guy know you like him- you should just ask him if he likes you back and if he does then you should go out with him.
You shouldn't pursue the second guy just because you are paired up with him in health a lot- unless the first guy doesn't like you like you like him...

Ok, the thing is I've become pretty good friends with my crush. We've hung out many times, and I've brought my friends at times too and he's met them. But now school is starting, and I'm afraid of him meeting some of my other friends, because honestly, I'm afraid he might start liking them. A lot of them are prettier and have good personalities. I know it's an insecurity of mine, but it's really bothering me. I don't know what to do, any advice will be helpful.

I know where you are coming from with liking your best friend- because I admit- I too liked my friend
The thing is.. its not always the best thing to like your friend- it can turn out ugly (as I have learned)
Sometimes the best thing is to just try to stop liking your friend and try to find someone else to focus on...
Or...
You could talk to your friend and flat out tell him you like him- and see how it goes.. if he doesn't like you back.. just try not to give up on him..
the most important thing is to not loose your friend- STAY FRIENDS WITH THEM!!! Loosing friends is not a road you want to travel down- trust me...

i have lots of white heads on my neck, and it feels disgusting as well as its looks! any recomendations on scrubs or something that actually works?

I have the same problem with whiteheads
I use Cetaphil (which is kinda expensive.. but it really works!)
Also.. I have prescription called Benza-Clin.. it works REALLY well.. but you need to ask your doctor about it.. Just tell them that you think you need an acne cream that works...

Hey-
Whenever you think about david- try to focus your mind on marcus as hard as you can
If that doesn't work- talk to david.. even if other people are in the hall- and tell him how you feel- tell him you can't get him off your mind and you really like him- if he resents you.. you need to just move on... .. if he ends up liking you- then you should see how he is as a boyfriend.. but not before talking to marcus and letting him know what's going on.. nothing is worse than just getting rid of someone without telling them (but make sure when you do tell him - you are very polite.. don't be rude and say it)...

When i'm talking to my friends on aim, i usually just type in a link, like www.google.com and then just click it from the IM box. I have aol explorer and internet explorer, but aol explorer is my default, and it's not working. It says theres some sort of error or something. Anyone know how to fix this or change the default to internet explorer instead of aol explorer? Thanks/

If you go under "start" in the left bottom corner of your computer (sorry trying not to confuse you).. look for something called "Set Program Access and Defaults".. then click on Windows (which I'm sure is your computer type).. and then you can change your default internet browser to internet explorer rather than aol explorer

I recently asked my parents for a cell phone, but they aren't giving in. 15/m by the way...i get good grades like all almost all A's. My parents said that money isn't the important thing, so I need some advice in convincing them to get me a phone? what could I say or do?

I'm the same age as you and I have a verizon phone- it really has the best service and you can have great txt message plans so you can txt your friends a lot....
Now.. to convince your parents.. (if you are going into HS and have after-school activities).. tell them that they will need to be able to reach you when you stay after school- they'll need to know when to pick you up... (even though it is the same everyday.. it might change)...
If you want to go to someone's house after school or want to go hang out at a place in town with friends after school- you can call them and tell them you are going somewhere
With a phone they can easily reach you when they need to- because that moment always comes that you mom will need to talk to you right away

Hey-
Try talking to your gf and tell that you don't appreciate what she's doing- ask (or tell- your choice) her to stop flirting with the other guy

Maybe (now this is extreme- I don't recommend you do this) you could dump her and see what she says. (I'm just trying to say something different than what all the other people said)

Try being sweet and take her out to dinner on a friday night somewhere in town- show her that you really care about her and she might just realize she needs to hang out and talk to you more..

Everytime I shave my crotch area, I get little red bumps. What are they and how can I stop them from happening?

I assume you're using a shaving cream- so this might just be a reaction to the cream you're using.. try switching to something else that doesn't have most of the same ingredients of what you are using now..

Or- your skin just might be irritated from the shaver.. try switching that too..

Funny thing about this- my mom always goes to ValueWorld and The Salvation Army to get abercrombie, AE, aeropostale, and hollister clothes for REALLY cheap prices (like 3 or 4 dollars a shirt)
The reason she does this is because the prices are SOOO high (as I'm sure you know) I was in Abercrombie and Fitch yesterday and they wanted $70 for a pair of shorts.. lol
