A few thoughts I've gathered from my teenage years (and being on this site for most of them!):

2. Dress to fit your body type, and buy the size that fits. If you're a size 6, squeezing into a 4 won't make you look skinnier. It makes you look fat when you aren't.
3. You will never regret waiting to lose your virginity.
4. There is such a thing as a stupid question, but we're all allowed to ask them.

I don't know what group to place it in, but it is mental I can tell you that. My boy friend was the best person you could have ever imagined. Even though he is only 14 [so am I, female] He was great. He has the potential to do anything he sets his mind to, music, school, great with kids & adults, wonderful. One of the ,main thing I was attracted to, was his childness-ish. He was funny, not in a dirty way either, didn't swear, proclaimed to be saved and was ever-so respectful.

After about a few months af dating I allowed french kissing and holding, sorta a low quality makeout.Then it grew and grew, now, we didn't get into sex or anything and stayed on top of clothes, but I noticed a difference in him, about two months ago.He has always told me how he feel about everything, absolutely EVERYTHING, I asked him what was wrong, hios reply was always something but he never got to the point. I started telling him that there was somthing he wasn't telling me, he would always say no, there wasn't.

After a long while of thinking, praying and asking God for guidance, I realised that we should never have started the whole "kissing process" so we could regenerate our relationship, the way it was before. At first he was scared, he'd say "What?I thought everything was fine, why shouldn't we?" and My answer would alaways be "It is wrong and I believe God would rather otherwise" Then there'd be a conflict, and those always hurt the heart.

Now he gave me his msn password and I thought "I don't have anything to hide or lose" so I gave him mine. He forgot that He gave me his password and the other days I checked it.Was I ever shocked, hurt, crushed, heart broken...It just hurt so much, I was crying outloud saying "no....no, he couldn't have done this to me..." He had "porn4free!", "sexsearch", "you have received a wink from...blahdiblahblah"
PAIN CRWLS IN, I...I COULDN'T BREATH, I FELT AS IF IT WAS ALL MY FAULT AND THAT I WAS BLIND TO NOT HAVE SEEN IT COMMING.

Later to find out, He called me [after I ave him my two cents on msn, really, it wasn't much] He denied it, telling me they were spams...right.I didn't believe him, he blamed it on his computer breaking, and It was right in front of my face...all of it, his name, his way of talking, even his special password was there... the girls... the pain was Unbearable :"( ... Everytime I gave him proof, he said sorry and agreed...and He kept telling me half truths, I got him to tell his parents and they have taken the computer away form him for a month.

What could I do to help him[he said it started about after we stopped the kissing process [which was two months ago]And I want to know What can I do, how should I react? What can HE do, It is 2:30 in the morning, I couldn't sleep, I was bawling my eyes out and dind't want to bother everyone else.So I came down, wanting to ask questions to people, including you people.

I'm afraid to go near him showing my arms now, and look at my body in disproval, why did God create man to be pigs and women to be their food?

He's fourteen. This is normal. You're just overreascting a little. Since he told his parents, hes still a very open, honest person. He shouldn't have to tell you about every little thing he does. He did apologize, but you must remember that its' perfectly normal for teenage boys to look at porn.

I babysit my cousins who all love attention. Theres three of them and it's hard to give them all attention. What can I do to keep them busy while paying attention to all of them?

Try doing something they can all enjoy. Are they at a "COLORING IS SO MUCH FUN LIKE OMG LETS COLOR ALL THE TIME" age? Break out the crayons and paper/paper plates/cardstock and they'll be occupied for hours. If you make an attempt to help them and/or sit down with them for a few minutes, they'll love you forever.

Disney movies never fail either. They'll old everyone's attention. I still watch them, and I'm fourteen! :) This works especially well around naptime, since after the movie's over the kids'll be all sleepy, or at least calmed down.

Basically, any activity that keeps them all occupied and in the same general area is golden (which is why hide and seek doesn't work with REALLY small kids- you never find them until they make noise! For any age after three, it'd great though, because they'll always hide in the same spot)

1. I really don't know. Maybe 4, 8, 12, 16, 20.. Then put each one to the fourth power? 4 to the fourth power would be 4x4x4x4=256.
2. 3 (.03 x 100= 3)
3. 50 (.25 x 200=50)
4. Substitute the numbers in the equation for the letters. 5 x 1 = (10 x 1)+(5 x 10). I think that's what you meant by it, but it'll make more sense on paper.

What colors of eyeshadow would look really really good for green eyes? I tried one of those almay ones that say they are really good for green eyes, with the purple on the lid, then dark green then light green, but it makes my eye look bruised. I use these colors already- pink,silver and green sometimes a skintone/goldish color. Any advice? i rate

Try using just one color at a time from the Almay kit. The other colors you mentioned would all work as well. If you're still not satisfied, buy a kit at Claires or something with a LOT of colors in it, and experiment. You'll eventually find a few that you love.

My dad was in a bad car accident a few days ago and he's still in the hospital. The doctors say he's stable but he's in a...coma. Which I don't even understand because how can he be stable if he's in a coma?


Well I'm supposed to be moving out in like, 10 days because I'm starting college and I'm moving 4 hours away. The thing is though, I don't want to leave my mom and my sister if my dad isn't conscious by then. I don't know what to do because I'm so scared about my dad and I don't want to leave.


Classes don't start until the 30th but move in day is in 10 days. I don't have to move in by moving day but I know I have to be there by the first day of classes. I don't even know if I'm going to be able to pay attention during class knowing that my dad is in the hospital. I just don't know what to do, I'm so confused.

Someone can be stable and in a coma because comas are sometimes part of recovery. Lots of times, they're even induced my the doctor so that you're not in pain as your body heals.

As for college, you don't have to move in right away. See how your dad is a few days before college starts. Chances are really good he'll be very improved by then. If you're not quite ready to leave your mother and sister, call the college and ask if there's any possible way you delay your starting time by a couple of weeks. I'm sure they'd understand.

ok i'm 16/f & i haven't been to the gyno yet. my period has been regular since i was 11 [when i first got it] & i haven't had sexual intercourse or anything. i haven't had a UTI or anything either & i was wondering when would be the best time to go?? i know everyone says you should go juss to be careful, but since i haven't really had a problem in that area, i don't know when to start. would 18 be ok or what??

18 would probably be fine, but the sooner you go, the better. They can give you information about diseases and such. Also, when you DO become sexually active, you'll have already buolt some trust with your gyno, which I've heard helps alot.

well im really bad at peer pressure. well no i wouldnt say that exactly but to some guys they think im easy but im really not. i do what i want and if i dont wanna do it then i dont. but this one guy i have been talking to for awhile well i always go over his house at night like late night like 1:30-2ish. & we'll talk for about an hour and then we start messing around. well we both know that if i dont want to do something ill say it and then i wont do it. he doesnt force me or anything. i have a had time saying no to it though. like sex-no. head-no. yeah i got them covered but like sometimes i just want to talk to him but he thinks that i just come over to mess around with him thats all. but everytime we end up doing stuff. just one day i want to go and just talk. but it always leads into that. what do i say to him to let him know that and without him thinking im lame or whatever?

If he knows that you'll say no, why don't you just say it? If he's not forcing you inot anything, he seems nice enough. When you go over there, say "I just want to talk, we don't have to do anything" and that should work. Don't let him force you into anything. If he does, he's not worth your time.

My sister is 13. This entire summer she hasnt gone to any of here friends house or even have them come over our house. But before the summer she had friends over every single weekend. she hasnt gone anywhere with the family either.

She spends every second of her day on the computer Seriously. Myspace to be exact. She has ten different myspaces && they are all of famous people from the disney channel. && she talks to people on there like she knows them in person. She has over 700 friends on each one. && she talks to every single one of them. I made me a fake myspace && made it so i was a famous person from disney && she even talks to me. but she doesnt know its me. And im not telling her.

My sister stays up till 430 - 530 in the morning. && then she goes to bed && sleeps till noon then gets straight on the computer. Yesterday morning my dad came downstairs and saw her on the computer. && told her to get to bed now. She got aggravated && yelled at him saying quit treating me like a damn child. She came in my room because i had to work & she goes why do you guys not let me stay on the computer & why do i have to get the computer right now? Its the summer and i should be able to spend all day on the computer.

Today our aol is not working && she is flipping out & yelling at everyone telling us that we better fix the computer before we go to bed. I have my own computer && my own cable box so i can use the computer. She is telling me that if she cant use the family computer i can't use my computer & that i better let her use mine if the family somputer doesnt start working.



My question is How do i get her off the computer && how is telling her to go to bed at 430 in the morning treating her like a child?

Do not tell me to block myspace & make a password on the computer. we already have blocked & put parental control on the computer. We have a password on the computer.

Dont tell me to warn her that school is starting in two weeks && she is going to have trouble waking up when school starts. She doesnt care.

&& she has plenty of friends But alot of them dont have internet access so she doesnt go over their houses.

She's seriously addicted. Your family shouldn't let her on the computer for so long. I know there's devices that shut down a computer after a set amount of time, which may be very helpful for your sister.

Also, did something happen within the family when summer started? She could be stressed out or worried about something, and MySpace may be her only outlet. Try talking to her. Make a sincere effort to include her in some of your plans. Go out as a family, have a good time together. Make her realize that you care about her, and that there are REAL people to socialize with, not just MySpace friends.
(but don't forbid her from MySpace entirely, just have her cut back a little) And make sure she knows that you and your family are always available to talk if she has a problem.

If all else fails, reality will hit her like a ton of bricks when school starts. She'll learn her lesson one way or the other. I'm sure its just a phase.

I need step by step help with my make up, with everything from foundation, to eyeliner to eyeshadow, blush....everything! Please help! thank you so much

Foundation:
For foundation, use a shade that matches your skin tone. Depending on your skin type, choose either a water-base (Like Maybelline.Pure) or a whipped foundation, good for dry/combination skin (there's a few different brands nowadays). You can either apply it as concealer in certain spots, or over your whole face.

Eyeliner:
Eyeliner can be applied a ton of different ways. Experiment with liquid and pencil, since some people prefer one over the other. Usually, it's put along your lash line, and depending on the effect you're going for, put either a thin line or a bold line.

Mascara:
Mascara is easier to put on than it looks- you just put the brush at the bottom of your lashes, then pull it up slowly. It's hard to explain, but you'll get the hang of it :)

Eyeshadow:
Certain colors go better with certain eye colors. Green eyes look good with green-ish tones, blue eyes with blue, gray, and silver, hazel and brown eyes look best with browns, whites, and purples. Pink also goes with browns. If you want the eyeshadow to pop (instead of your eye color) wear a really bright cream shadow, or a crazy-colored shadow.

Lips:
It's best to either accentuate your eyes OR your lips, not both. For most days, a sheer-colored gloss or lip balm will do.

Blush:
After you put on foundation, smile. The apples of your cheeks is the best place top apply blush. Blend it well so you don't end up with a scary-doll effect.

And that's pretty much it! For touch-ups during the day, use either pressed or loose powder.

Does anyone have any recommendations of what brand of makeup to use .. I have tons of makeup but it's all crappy stuff so I want to buy better stuff. Thanks, anything is appreciated.

Maybelline, Wet 'N Wild, and New York Color have all worked really well for me, and they're not expensive at all. You definitely get your money's worth.

The last two I recommend especially for nail polish, lipgloss, and eyeliner; Maybelline has great foundation, powder, mascara, and lipgloss. For eyeshadow, whatever brand has the best colors for your eye color is fine.

ok i have a white 2 piece bathing suit and it has little colorful hearts on it.
Well I wash it reguarly but it isnt as white anymore and turning creamish yellowish... it
says i can bleach it with a non clorine bleach but im not sure i want to use it.(hard on the fabric. Is there any other kind of house hold substance that could make it look like new

You could try washing it with dish soap like Dawn, because the yellowing is probably the result of buildup from skin oils and sunscreen.

Also, try Oxy-Clean spray-on laundry stain remover. I used it on a yellowed blanket and now it looks like new.

If those two things don't give the desired result, buy some color-safe bleach, and add half a capful to a whole sinkful of warm water. This will dilute it so it's not so hard on the fabric.

I've also heard that white vinegar gets rid of stains, but I've never tried it myself. Plus, it smells nasty. I'd try this only as a last resort!!

The best way to learn is to practice. Is it possible for you to help your parents/aunt/grandma when they're cooking? They can give you pointers and thier own tips and tricks. If you find a recipe (whether its online, or from a family member's recipe box) and it seems easy and only has a few ingredients, try it out!

YOu could also get a cookbook at a bookstore or library.

whats the best say to fix frizzy, kinda dry hair? it's making my hair hard to straighten and it just always looks bad. and dont be like, stop straightening it, becuase i only straighten it once in a while in the summer, and if i to like school or something i have to straighten it because it looks like shit otherwise. so what are some good products i can buy at cvs or wal mart or something to help this? (oh yeah, not sha,pos or conditioners or stuff like that)

Garnier Fructis makes a bunch of different serums. They come in a round pump bottle and there's different kinds for different hair types. I'd suggest the Sleek and Shine one, because it specifically targets frizz. Also, L'Oreal ALT Studio Line HOT! Straightening Cream (in a pink squeeze bottle) works really well too. Putting a little bit of hair gel in your hair right before you striaghten (after the other products) will also keep your hair from drying out so quickly. When you're done straightening, spray all your hair (not just the top) with hairspray. This will keep out humidity (which actaully damamges your hair somewhat) and prevent your hair from getting so frizzy.

i just recently got the st. ives apricot scrub for oily skin because i have oily skin.. i was wondering if i will eventually see results because i want my acne to go away... and if it does work, do it work real well and when will i see results?

I love that stuff!! It makes your skin look way healthier and it gives it a natural "glow" to it. Anything that gets rid of extra oil should improve your acne, because that's what usually causes ance to begin with. Also, if you use the scrub before you put on foundation or other makeup, it'll go on smoother and look better. Plus, you'll need less of it, because the scrub will make your complexion look heathier/less red (If your face is red right after you use it, it'll go away).

Theres a song with a harmonica in it and i think at one point it says something like "why'd you go and spin me round and round" or something like that. It sounds like sister hazel but i couldnt find anything similar in their lyrics, but I might be totally off. Could anyone tell me who sings it and whats it called? Thanks

Dead Or Alive has a song called "You Spin Me Right Round (Like a Record)". I don't know if that's the song you're looking for, I just Googled it. I also got results from Marilyn Manson; form the looks of it he did a cover of that song.

well im using proactiv and its getting rid of the zits, but now my skin is drying out. i've tried putting on lotion but it doesnt work!! does anyone have any ideas? thanks :)

You could be sensitive/allergic to benzoyl peroxide. Try using it once a day for awhile. Also, use a different lotion besides the one in the kit.

Also, Proactiv's actaully designed ot dry out your skin a little (to get rid of pore-clogging oil) so you may just not be used to it yet.
