Well I wash it reguarly but it isnt as white anymore and turning creamish yellowish... it

it wouldn't hurt your bathing suit at all to use bleach, as long as you use color-safe bleach hun

Oxy Clean spray! works miracles, trust me! spray all over your suit, and wait a couple minutes and it will look reallly good!

bathing suits are made out of a spandex/polyester blend in a 4-way stretch, usually. bleach only deteriorates natural fibers like wool and cotton. it should do no harm to your bathing suit to use bleach. make sure you get color-safe bleach. you'll be fine.

Put your washer on hot water and add a scoop or two of Oxy clean. That should work wonders. (P.S. The label said you could use bleach so I really don't think it would hurt it)

You might try Iron Out. It should be safe on it.. but make sure you read the label to double check. It's like a bleach, but not. It takes all the mineral build up you get from harder water out of white clothes

LM answered Monday August 7 2006, 3:33 pm:
You could try washing it with dish soap like Dawn, because the yellowing is probably the result of buildup from skin oils and sunscreen.

Also, try Oxy-Clean spray-on laundry stain remover. I used it on a yellowed blanket and now it looks like new.

If those two things don't give the desired result, buy some color-safe bleach, and add half a capful to a whole sinkful of warm water. This will dilute it so it's not so hard on the fabric.

I've also heard that white vinegar gets rid of stains, but I've never tried it myself. Plus, it smells nasty. I'd try this only as a last resort!!

Good luck! ♥
