I'm Almedina. I'm foreign, and I'm pretty much ready to handle whatever life throws at me. Ha, pretty random that I go from being foreign to life,but anyways. I've had this column for about two yearsnow, and I don't update it as I should, or want to but with school and this crazy teenage life of mine, it gets pretty hard to do so. I've been giving advice to all my friends since I can remember and I love trying to help them. I'm out going and extrememly loud once you get to know me. I'm usually shy at first unless I've gotten to know you. I don't understand life sometimes. But I've got my whole life to figure out the meaning of it. I'm selfish at times, and stubborn. I care too much about things I shouldn't and not enough about the MOST important things in my life. I'm very annoyed with people at times, and tend to just block everyone out. I'm afraid to say I'm in love, but I'm not afraid of love itself. I'm myself and that's all I can be. I've gone through a lot, so I'm willing to help in whatever way I can (:

me and my cousin always hang out together! she's awesome lOl. but anyways she used to like this one guy and i thought he was cute. well she didnt exactly like him anymore she moved on..but she still thought the kid was hott! and my littler cousin (her brother) is like 13? and he talks to this kid. the kid is in 9th grade and my cuzin is also but im in 10th grade. well i was like OH MY GOSH that kid is really hott! i said that to my cousins. and then my 13 yr old cousin was talking to him on the computer and was like yeah my cousin likes you. and i was like NOO how can i like him? i dont even know him! and then he is like just kidding she just thinks your hott. and he is like who is she? and my cousin told him..but of course he doesnt know me since we go to different schools.. and the kid is like dont know her..never seen her..never heard of her. well this made me feel GREAT. even tho i knew he didnt know who i was. but then anyways this kid is like well next time that she sees me tell her to come up to me and tell her who she is. SO next time i see him what am i suppose to say? hi im the girl that thinks your hott. it will be soo embarassing! and im pretty shy.so that doesnt help. and then later that night my 13 year old cousin was still talking to him and was like yeah my sister (his sister my cousin)thinks your really hott and he is like man whats up with your family..first your cousin and now your sister? whats next your grandpa??! so then i felT SOOOO unblievebly stupid!! now i for sure dont wanna go up to him next time i see him..i will feel so stupid! but then again maybe he will think im cute or something? I DONT KNOW!! i mean i wanna hang out with him or something..or at least try and talk to him..let him know i exist!! but then i only see him at their schools hockey games..and there isnt any going on over break! and my cousin that goes to school with him is really shy too and wont ask to hang out with him..because she doesnt really talk to him either..and i dont wanna talk to him on AIM because im not good with talking on the computer..so please dont suggest that..but yeah so i cant throw a party or anything! ugh this is soo horrible and confusing :( you dont even know..this kid is the funniest..the cutest! and he doesnt even know i exist..all the girls are over him and i guess he is goin to this party that a girl is throwin from his schoool. what do you think i should do!?

Oh boy you must really like this kid. That`s fine that you haven`t really talked to him. Just like the next time you see him say hi. When he said the "..first your cousin, now your sister.." thing, I think he was just being sarcastic. Don`t fuss over it too much. Even if you are shy, it`s ok. Since he is going to this girl`s party - is your cousin invited? If she is then ask to go along and maybe you`ll get to know him and maybe other cute guys! You and your cousin can get all dressed up and I bet boys will be in line waiting for you to talk to them :DD !! Just talk to him and be relaxed. okay so i met this guy like dec. 20th @ a bball game. and we exchanged numbers. :] he called me like wed. night and we talked for like 2 hours. [ i think i like him] he said he would call me the next day after his game. he never did, i tried to call him but he didn't pick up. and i did the next day & his phone was off. idk what to think. if it means anything.. do you think he will ever call me?

He probably does like you but since this is the holiday season he probably just doesn`t have time. If he didn`t like you why would he have called you and stayed on the phone for 2 hours. Just don`t worry about it. Call him and leave him a message asking him if he can call you back whenever he has time. OK so i am catholic, and i am an altar server. In early october, i had a very bad knee injury and was on crutches for a very long time, so i couldn't serve. My knee injury occured when my knee just collapsed. Tonight, i am altar serving christmas eve mass, which is one of the biggest masses of the year. It is also my first mass back after my injury. Im excited to be back, because i love to altar serve, especially christmas eve. But I am so afraid that my knee will just collapse again, i just got off my crutches yesterday! I mean .. i have a brace on too. Any advice on how to relax, and not worry about my knee collapsing?

Well start talking to him through AIM it`ll be easier. You`ll get to meet him and everything easier so when you really do meet it won`t be so tense. As for your friend just don`t mention it like " Let`s go meet that guy " be like let`s go to the movies, but make him know to be there too and when you see him be like " Look who it is! Well since it`s a long way to Arkansas and it`s to see your brother, then I`d tell you to go see your brother. You can always go to parties but you won`t always see your brother. I`m not saying this will happen but if you don`t go to see your brother you stay behind to go to some lame parties, what if something happens to your brother and you never see him again? Would you feel bad and guilty for not going ? I would. So I mean it`s your choice. But I would rather put family first and then friends. There will always be parties you can go to.

Oh I know it`s not what you want to do but you need to talk to her about it. Tell her how you feel and tell her that you think the guy is cute and you would like to meet him and you might flirt with him but if she has a problem with it, then you`d help her become over her shyness so she can meet that guy and you won`t. 4 more days of school left till x-mas break :) haha yay! but i dont think i can handle it seriously..me and school do NOT get along and lately we have been doin really hard things like we've been workin on this really hard and confusing essay in english and we're gonna have to work on it over break..DRABB! but i dont know if i can go thru with this 4 days it seems like forever! AND i know we are going to have a ton of test on thursday because thats just how our teachers are--having tests all on the same day. its just really stressful and school is sooo boring im gettin really sick of it and the people! any helpful ways to get thru this?

School`s tough for everyone. Just make sure you get 7 or 8 hours of sleep the night before and eat a healthy breakfast, and it`ll make you a little less stressed out. Just don`t worry about passing or whatever. If you study you`ll do fine, and yea maybe you`ll forget some things but that`s only if you`re stressing out so much about if you`re going to do ok. and like i never get any of my homework done! i feel really guilty when im on here or AIM and im suppose to be doing homework but then if i get off for a bit do a lil homework i wanna come back on here again and so i do and then i get distracted! i like come straight on when i get home and ughhhhhh what do i do? haha its hard for me to stay away from it too.

Oh I had that problem too. Last summer I went away on vacation and all I was thinking before we left was "How in the world am I going to make it 9 days without AIM and the INTERNET?" Well it wasn`t even hard. The computer isn`t everything. You do have a life outside it. Just keep yourself busy and when you need to do your homework do it in another room with something else distracting you [ ex. music or the t.v. ] That worked for me. Good luck !

First of all - seems to me like you don`t need any flirting tips since you said that guuys just give you attention. And I mean I can`t really tell you what to do because I mean it`s best to just go sit with the "crush" or give him hugs. That`s what I do. Usually they won`t reject you, and since you said you get attention I don`t think they will reject you since you`re ovibously pretty. Good luck.
