SoftballxBuddy answered Saturday July 23 2005, 7:33 pm: for people with darker hair, they put lemon juice streaks in their hair & lay in the sun. it gives you highlights.. fast and simple
aarriieell answered Saturday July 23 2005, 3:05 pm: It's supposed to make your hair lighter, or give it highlightish streaks if you lay out in the sun with it in your hairr. It's really not good for your hair at all though, because of the acid in lemon juice. Yikees.
X0C0URT answered Saturday July 23 2005, 2:11 pm: Supposedly it makes blonde highlights in your hair if you lay out in the sun with the lemon juice in it. I've never tried it but that's what people say.
FunnyCide answered Saturday July 23 2005, 11:22 am: If done correctly, the lemon juice will streak (highlight) your hair. I've never done it, and I don't plan on it either. If you're thinking about putting lemon juice in your hair as a natural highlighter, beware - the lemon juice will dry out your hair. I know a person who did the lemon stuff, and her hair was dry and course. When her hair grew out, the lemon juice turned her hair sortof an orange-ish color. Maybe that was just her hair, though. But most people do it for cheap highlights. Buying a few lemons is cheaper than going to the "beauty shop" and getting highlights put in or even buying the kit to do it yourself.

Melanie4981 answered Saturday July 23 2005, 12:08 am: Most normal people DON't put lemon juice in their hair...... however, girls that BLEACh their hair to within an inch of it's life put lemon juice in their hair to stop it from going ginger!!! They also put Tomato Ketchup in their hair (if when they have home-bleached and they have washed it in the wrong shampoo!!!) when it goes slightly green-ish!!! Cos it balances the colour out
kayo817 answered Friday July 22 2005, 8:19 pm: the reason why people put lemon juice in their hair is because they want to bleach it. i hope that answers your question! =] [ kayo817's advice column | Ask kayo817 A Question ]

Mackenzie answered Friday July 22 2005, 6:19 pm: You squirt lemon juice on a comb, and then run it through your hair. THEN, you sit in the hot sun for about two hours daily for two weeks straight, it will 'lighten' or 'high light' your hair... It's just another way of getting something for close to nothing. :) [ Mackenzie's advice column | Ask Mackenzie A Question ]
Karen answered Friday July 22 2005, 6:06 pm: Girls put lemon juice in their hair to highlight it. When you're hair is wet and you apply lemon juice to it and go outside, the light from the sun will highlight your hair. It's just anther way to highlight your hair without paying for anything.
