sex

Question Posted Tuesday March 22 2005, 4:04 pm

pretty soon i know my boyfriend and i are going to have sex. OF COURSE we would use a condom, but i am still overly scared of the chance of getting pregnant if the condom breaks. i am trying to figure out what time of the cycle is the best time to Not get pregnant. i know ovulation is the worst time, but what about before, during, and after my period - which is the best time and which is a risky time? i cant find it on any websites and some people tell me different things... please help, im a spaz

There is never a specific 100% safe time, a condom will not help everything either. Are you a virgin? Even if you aren't... don't rush into this. Make sure this is the guy you want to be with at this stage of your life. ♥ Try ask.com for some more sites.

there isn't a 100% safe time to have sex but just after your period is probably the safest. but deffinately use a condom. you could go on the pill. thats about 99% safe of preventing pregnancy. go to your doctors for some advice or a NHS drop in centre you dont need an appointment at one of them. the nurses there will give you the best advise because after all its their job! hope it goes well!

_eMiLy answered Wednesday March 23 2005, 10:03 am:
There's no 100% safe time of the month to have sex so there's no answer to that question really.
Second, if you're that worried about getting pregnant you should go on birth control too
and if you're this nervous about having sex and don't think you're ready then maybe you should wait till you're in a situation where you know you're 100% sure you want to have sex.
Good luck

well first of all, there is no safe time of the month. second of all, use a condom, and if he isnt using one ive actually seen one in like a magazine or somin that a women actualy uses, and inserts it in herself. use birth control as well. but pulling out does nothin, u can still get pregnant. but of course the only way to have 100% safe sex, is to no have sex at all. and if hes just your boy friend. why have sex with him? is he really worth the risk? hope i helped

OK first of all if your this nervous about having sex then you really need to wait until you know everything you can about it . The only way not to be nervous is to educate yourself about it .

Secondly , there is no 100% safe time to have sex . Sure the condom is a barrier but it is not 100% and you don't want to take the risk. You should use 2 types of birth control , such as the condom and the pill or the comdom and spermicide. Do not depend on your cycle to come through for you . Depending on finding a window in your cycle is very risky and not accurate because everyones body is different.

Be Smart about it , know your ready to have sex before-hand, and use a condom and b/c or spermicide when it comes to sex don't take a chance its not worth it !

Good luck ! : )

Well I think you need to go to your local planned parenthood and get all of the information you possibly can. Also you can check out their web site.

But I do want to clarify one piece of false information that was given to you. You CAN GET PREGNANT WHILE ON YOUR PERIOD. You can also be pregnant and still be getting your period....everyone is different. You need to seek an obgyn and make sure you are prepared before you have intercourse.

Nothing is 100%!!!!! I got pregnant while being on birth control. Yes, we did use a condom and it broke. It can happen to anyone.

Please take care and be safe!!

Best of luck!

~Amanda :)

zapreth answered Tuesday March 22 2005, 6:15 pm:
Along with the condom use a spermicidal gel. I'm not talking KY or heating lotion. This is gel in pre-measured tubes and formulated to insert before sex and they are safe to use with a latex condom. Plus the added lubricant won't hurt for your first time either. Another thing to watch out for is make sure he holds the condom on when he pulls out! If she's still happy and he's a little smaller than he went in the condom can come off. Luck!

If you're scared the least bit, don't go through with it. Only have sex, even with protection, if you are one hundred percent sure about it and not scared.... But the best time is probably during your period, when your bodies ridding of the old unfertilized egg. <3 EJ

Sherry answered Tuesday March 22 2005, 4:06 pm:
Well cut out during because you cant have sex when your on your period. I think I would wait two weeks after your last period. And you could also use birth control! If your that scared about getting pregnant have your bf pull out before he cums or dont have sex at all.
