Period Problems

Question Posted Saturday August 21 2004, 10:21 pm

When I get my period, the first 3 days are very heavy. I wear pads on those days and then tampons the rest. I'm going down the shore on the days when it's heavy and I'm not sure what to do. I'm going to be swimming and everything, but do you think a 'super' tampon would be good enough? It's really heavy and I'm scared even the super tampons won't be enough. What should I do?

A super tampon would probably be fine. Just make sure to change it pretty often + it'll be fine.

Well, mine are very heavy, and super worked fine with me. Okay, there a couple of things you can do ... try super plus. they are for 12'15 grams of blood and you can take it out right after you go swimming. I mean ... you won't be swimming for hours. Another thing, go to the doctor and ask for birth control .... that will lighten them up really well

Okay well I know that Tampax has super plus, and Kotex I even think has one with an Ultra abosorbancy. If I were you I would wear the highest absorbancy I could find, and change frequently, just to avoid an accident, I can't really say cuz I can't imagine just how heavy you could be. Also, remember, most girls periods tend to slow down or stop when they are in water, but I would still change freuqently just to be on the safe side. Good Luck! :)

Ya definitly. Super tampons are really good for your heavy days. I think that you should use the super tampons for heavy and pads for your light days. Just remember to change them every once in a while.
