Aside from medicine, here's some other nifty stuff:
heating pads, warm baths, mild exercise, orgasm, not using tampons when your cramps are bad, drinking plenty of water, evening primrose oil tablets (check with a doctor before taking them), trying different positions to lie or sit in, etc. [ alisonmarie's advice column | Ask alisonmarie A Question ]

Sw3eTi3_xO answered Saturday July 17 2004, 5:18 am: God, I know where you're coming from .. I used to get the cramps really bad. Well, I heard from a family friend that drinking a lot of water and laying on your stomach helps a lot. Water reduces the amount of menustral blood that flows out, which means the uterus does less contracting (why you get cramps in the first place) and laying on your stomach, well, I don't know, just relieves the pain!! Hope it works for ya!! [ Sw3eTi3_xO's advice column | Ask Sw3eTi3_xO A Question ]

blackmamba answered Saturday July 17 2004, 12:57 am: this may sound retarted, but physical activity, while it may be painful at first will actually relieve cramps.. try taking a long walk :) [ blackmamba's advice column | Ask blackmamba A Question ]

hErEtoheLp answered Saturday July 17 2004, 12:28 am: Alright, take Naperson... Ask your mom about it.. I think it's a prescription unfortunatlly, but if they're that bad, Naperson will relieve your cramps NO MATTER WHAT. It's like my best friend when I get cramps..
