One question- Is there a problem with being black?

For the same reason I'm white and my boyfriend is brown...because if everyone was the same, whether it be inside or out, there'd be no point in living, there'd be no diversity, for some, no trial, no pride...if we were the same, life wouldn't be a journy but a really boring ride like Mr. Toad in Disneyland

Because that is how God wanted you to be. Being black is not a bad thing some of the most wondeful activists and civil rights leaders were black actually like all of them. You make a difference wheter you are black white yellow red or purple.

but seriously, it's something about the pigment of your skin...melonime or something like that.

Melanin. It's a chemical in your skin that effects the color. It reacts to light and turns your skin darker, that's why lighter-skinned people turn tan from the sun. That's also why black babies are born about the same shade as other babies, their skin turns brown after birth. You have lots and lots of melanin in your skin.
It's funny, everybody here went straight to the stuff about the parents, and how he should be proud of his heritage, but only one person besides myself actually answered the question.

There's nothing wrong with being how we are...
They're just pigments of color in our skin...nothing more...

To me, you are not of a color. You are human, like me and everyone else.

Because you were made that way. Do you not want to be black? If not, you should. Hell, I wish I was. Black people are the bomb. If being black is a bad thing in your community, then move.

Do you want to be like Micheal Jackson? Seriously, be proud of your ethnicity, it's wonderful that you are black. Don't walk in shame because of your race. Think about all the people who want to be black. Just stand proudly as who you are. You're black because you were meant to be black. Simple as that.

You should be proud of your culture and your background. However, that's easily said.
While some minority groups, such as gay people or whoever can hide their status when they want or need to. But, being black can't be hidden, no matter how you look at it.
I sincerely hope you aren't being subjected to ridicule or racism. No one should ever have to experience that.
Perhaps you are a little self-conscious about your race, and think it matters to a lot of people. True, it does to some, but to most people, they don't think about it.
Please let us know some more details and I'll try to give you some more specific advice.

If one or both of your parents are black, then you would of came out black. . sheesh!

because god made you that way. Don't be a shame of your race. Everyone evolved and originated from Africa,your home continent. Being black is a good thing. I know, i'm black.
