AT&T DSL CONNECTIVITY

I've just recently installed a windows xp program on my computer and cannot enable my dsl to function properly.I know it works due to the fact that I've used it prior to my upgrade.I was previously in operation with wndows 98. I took upon myself to alter my settings with the hopes and intentions of improving my software. In the begining I was acomplishing something, but in continuing(erasing things I obviously shouldn't have)I succeeded in erasing my windows 98 program completely. My screen was blank. I now have windows xp and still have no knowledge in what what I'm doing. I continuosly run into the same "error" message along the lines of: server not being able to be located.
P.S. My lan light on my modem refuses to eluminate.

I'VE JUST INSTALLED WINDOWS XP ON MY COMPUTER AND CANNOT GET MY AT&TWORLDNET DSL TO WORK, HELP!!PLEASE!? I KNOW IT WORKS BECAUSE PRIOR TO INSTALLING WINDOWS XP ON MY COMPUTER I HAD WINDOWS 98 AND IT WAS WORKING FINE, BUT....
THE THING IS THAT I HAD NO IDEA WHAT I AWAS DOING AND I WAS TRYING TO MAKE MY COMPUTER RUN BETTER AND FASTER. WHATEVER IT WAS THAT I WAS DOING (DELETING THINGS I OBVIOUSLY SHOULDN'T HAVE)IT WAS WORKING. I JUST HAD TO KEEP GOING THOUGH UNTIL I WENT TOO FAR AND COULN'T PROCEED ANY FURTHER. I ERASED MY WINDOWS 98 PROGRAM. THERE WAS NOTHING LEFT ON MY COMPUTER. IT WAS BLANK.NOW I'VE INSTALLED WINDOWS XP AND STILL DO NOT KNOW WHAT I'M DOING AT ALL.TIME AFTER TIME I RECEIVE AN "ERROR" MESSAGE THAT SAYS ...

I have resigne from my current employer by giving three month notice period as per agreemant.Suprisingly they have accepted my resignation the same date and realesed me by saying that;in my case company has dicided to release me immideatly and did not impose the rule of deducting three month salary from my account.I simply did not understand how company can give me release order immideatly without giving me three month salary.What was the fun of giving three months notice.My whole family is suffering because of this financial crunch,I have a ailing mother and one year old child to fed.Company name -Pfizer limited;Country India.Designation- District Manager.Guwahati.

my friend told me that she started to cut herself and i was like fighting back tears all day but i swore i wouldnt tell anyone and everyone was like WHATS WRONG WHATS WRONG cause the cutter is like my really good friend...i dunno why she does it either because i always see her smiling and having fun and she has a lot of friends i guess shes just putting on an act for everyone but anyways i think shes like always depressed about different stuff but i never knew it was this bad until the other day...i talked to her about it and told her she shouldnt do it anymore and stuff but now i think she started again WHAT DO i DO?!

ok well this is kind of wierd/hard to explain i guess. my ADOPTED sister got married the first of this month. we adopted her when she was about 23 or 24. odd I know, its a very long story lol. anyways yea she got married the first of this month and the guy has 3 kids and one of them is a boy. hes my age and i like him alot, i have no clue why but i do. she knows and the rest of the kids know and so does my so called " step brother in law " so yea so yea i have no clue what to do. A friend of mine and i went to the movies the other night, and as were pulling up, i see the guy i like standing next to a car down the lot. I was getting all excited when he stood up, and then i saw what he was holding, and i was repulsed. In one hand, he was holding a lit joint, and in the other, a half empty bottle of vodka. I had no idea he did these things!! And i have my values..i try not to associate with ppl who do harm to themselves in such ways. Even though his lifestyle goes against my beliefs, i cant seem to get over my feelings for him. I just dont how to do it. How do i 4get this guy?

i dont exactly have a question...but i just need someone to talk to and just for anyone to give me advice...i am a Freshman..im 14 im in a relationship. and i've been stressing alot of skool lately!!...its just that im failing 2 of my classes rite now!. its just that my 2 teachers give out TOO much assignments and its just stressing me bcause i dont do it! my sister says i need to learn how 2 manage my time! and i told her its not bkuz of cheerleading...(because im always @ praktice or @ a game) and well i just dont know! somebody help!!

I met this guy that my friend j and her fiance r wanted me to met. so i was ok it couldn't hurt so i ended meeting him september 19th. He's 21 and i'm 17. so we all ended up going bowling. I talked i him a little bit.
that next week we all went to roger's house to watch movies. J and i ended up getting there by 7pm and we did our homework until 8-8:30pm. We finally started watching movies at about 8:30-9pm. Pap Smear

I recently had my pap smear and the results came back fine. My doctor said that the Pap smear was normal. I did not have the HPV, but this is were I'm confused, she told me to go back for another testing in 6 months because they found changes in the cells of my cervix.
