AT&TWORLDNET DSL CONNECTIVITY

Question Posted Monday October 18 2004, 6:23 am

I'VE JUST INSTALLED WINDOWS XP ON MY COMPUTER AND CANNOT GET MY AT&TWORLDNET DSL TO WORK, HELP!!PLEASE!? I KNOW IT WORKS BECAUSE PRIOR TO INSTALLING WINDOWS XP ON MY COMPUTER I HAD WINDOWS 98 AND IT WAS WORKING FINE, BUT....
THE THING IS THAT I HAD NO IDEA WHAT I AWAS DOING AND I WAS TRYING TO MAKE MY COMPUTER RUN BETTER AND FASTER. WHATEVER IT WAS THAT I WAS DOING (DELETING THINGS I OBVIOUSLY SHOULDN'T HAVE)IT WAS WORKING. I JUST HAD TO KEEP GOING THOUGH UNTIL I WENT TOO FAR AND COULN'T PROCEED ANY FURTHER. I ERASED MY WINDOWS 98 PROGRAM. THERE WAS NOTHING LEFT ON MY COMPUTER. IT WAS BLANK.NOW I'VE INSTALLED WINDOWS XP AND STILL DO NOT KNOW WHAT I'M DOING AT ALL.TIME AFTER TIME I RECEIVE AN "ERROR" MESSAGE THAT SAYS SOMETHING ALONH THE LINES OF MY SERVER NOT BEING ABLE TO BE LOCATED.

P.S. MY LAN LIGHT ON MY MODEM WILL NOT TURN GREEN
