why cant they accept me

ok, well i have this unique hairstyle(its not super wierd like a punk or goths, just different) and my parents hate it. they wont accept me for who i am and its gotten tot he point were i cant ignore it because there starting to crack jokes about me and insult me all the time. i dont want to change because i like myself and i have alot of friends who like me but my parents dont accept my personality. how should i deal with this problem

Best Friend/Other Friend

I have a best friend and a 2nd best friend. Unfortunately, they hate each other. Last year my best friend and I made fun of my 2nd best friend endlessly. Then she found out...it was a long and terrible time where I realized how rude I had been. Finally she forgave me. But she never forgave my best friend.
My best friend got a boyfriend in September. I realized this meant I wouldnt be spending as much time with her as he went to a different school district so they hung out on the weekends. i have a really big great circle of friends, mostly girls but we hang out with a few guys too. So, i have a crush on one of my guy friends, and my friends brought up that we would make a good couple, after that i fessed up to acctually liking the guy. After that they told me that they thought that he was flirting with me that night (before the guys went home, and the girls slept over), i am not the best at judging this sort of thing, but he is just a nice guy, and there were mostly girls at the party so he had to sit next to one of us - so could this mean that he wasn't really flirting and just being himself? he is also very shy too, he doesn't really touch anyone, the most physical contact i have had with him is playing egyptian rat screw ...

so i had a friend who was my best friend for like 6 years. then it was time for middle school and my best friend and i went to the same one but the other people in our group at elementry school went to a different middle school. so everything was good, but in febuary it was my litles brothers party. and my best friend had a little sister the same age but we didnt invite her little sis to the party because my bro doesnt like her. then she got really mad and her whole family did. they took it really ofensively. they sorta harrased us and called us and got mad at us. when i say harased i mean by phone. so she left the school not because of me mainly because financil issues. she kept calling me but my parents didnt want me to be friends with he...

it wont go away. i am a guy and 16 yrs old. i'm used to working under pressure and stress, but this started happening all of a sudden... i mean nothing new, nothing bizzare, but ive never had this problem before.
im worried - am i always going to be like this? i mean i know what my triggers are to stomach acid [stress related one]. is it something i can grow out of? any medicine i can take for it to go away? or will it just go away once my nerves calm down. is it permanent? thanks i wanna know cuz im scared

Loving a lost one...

To preface, I came across this site because I did a search for someone that has passed on and found out thatthey used used to have a column here.
From my prespective, she and I had a special time together almost ten years ago. She was two time zones away yet we would be in touch everyday for a few months. I realize this is only a short time, yet I had initially ended it.
In the shortime thereafter, she and I would keep in touch and then because I acted stupidly with words she and I would not converse less and less.
Four years later, I took a trip out to where she lived to visit other people and ended up one night at a bar where she was and we were able to spend some private moments there talk...

Dance expectaions

All my friends are on the competition dance team at my dance studio. I'm always nervous to try out for things so I never do. Last year I finally worked the courage up to try our for soccer, and well it ended and tears and a lost friendship. Dance tryouts are march 18 and all my friends are expection me to be great because they are good friends and want to support me. I have been dancing for 5 years and I guess im okay...just not under pressure and expecially not in front of all the good people! I just need some confidence any tips? I know my friends don't want to hurt me. They keep telling me as loNg as I smile and act peppy ill be fine. AAAAh!!

I've liked this guy for awhile. At the beginning of the year I officially met him at a football game through one of my friends. I had known who he was, but not his name or anything. I have a little sister..and she thinks she's in love. Everytime she gets a new crush, she goes "goo-goo-ga-ga" over him..and then he breaks her heart, and she goes crying to me. She then states how much she loves him even though she only went out with him for a week! She cries and she cries about how much she loves this boy..until she finds another crush another week later! She then states that she is in love with this new boy! She's not just saying it..She actually means it. She really thinks she's in love..and she's only 11!!! It's so frustrating and annoying because when I tell her she's not in love---she gets soo mad. What should I do? This act is getting annoying..she's not in love.
PS she once "loved" a guy she never met over the internet.

I don't know what to do

My dad is really abusive...towards me and my mom. Especially my mom. He calls her degrading names and he used to abuse her..alot. Even while she was pregnant with me and my brother and my sister. To this day, I am almost 17 and he still verbally abuses and me also. My mom has considered divorce, but we have no money, no where to go. Today something horrible happenned and he was calling my mom ALOT of horrible words that I can't even say on here. I am afraid that when he comes home from work tomorrow that he will yell at her again..Also, I am afraid that when my siblings and I go to school, he will beat her. Please give advice.

ok.. me and my mom aren't really close... and like when she tells me stuff like oo i need to buy u a bra or sumtin like oo lets go bra shopping i get like embarrased and she does it like in front of people... so like my friends wouldn't care to come with me cuz they would buy there own.. but i mean iim only 13.. and ive got some boobs.. but im not sure wat size.... but they are like small.. i would be no bigger than a a cup.. .and in bikini size im a medium.. so liek maybe you can tell me by that wat size i am or like wat possible sizes are small....

Theres this guy i like a lot. Last year, I had a crush on me. For some reason, he started to act wierd and then i found out that he liked me too, but then i stopped liking him. I think i was a little bit mean, but now i think we're cool. He won't talk to me a lot now, but i like him again so i don't know how to get him back.

ok.. i wanna loose wat b4 the summer.. this way i can like look good in a two piece.. all i wanna do is get rid of the stomach... and the thighs.. but rite now all i care about is my stomach.. i weigh around 130 pounds.. and im 13.. but like everyone says im skinny... but like... i mostly weigh 10 - 15 pounds heavier cuz i have muscles... i have a little stomach but i mean its noticable.. how can i decrease it and how much do i have to do of it per day?? oo yea.. this guy has a crush on me.. but he told my friend he wil lask me out wen im skinnier.. and i eard him say it.. so like... i wanna lose the weight...

Parents in the way

Ok, so I'm 16. My boyfriend is 17. It's getting increasingly harder to be anywhere alone with him without parents getting paranoid and feeling they have to "check on us". We're both responsible people who make responsible decisions and although both sets of parents know that I feel quite sure there's nothing that will make them feel differently...so that's not what I'm asking. I'm beyond trying to change them.
What I want to know is how to get around it...
I just need some sneaky ideas =P

Dog Obedience Trainer

Hi All,
I am thinking about taking classes to become a dog trainer. I have a lot of hands on experience already, but I have the feeling that a certification will be important. Eventually I'd like to start my own business. There is obviously a shortage of qualified trainers and many people own dogs. So I see a need for this.
So what do you think, would you rather attend classes given by a certified instructor or a self taught person?
I can buy many books on the subject and it will be cheaper than the tuition for a coorespondence course.
How about personal consultations in the home? If you could afford it wouldn't that be better than a class with 20 people and their dogs?
