straightening hair

Is it bad if you straighten your hair with a curling iron?
I know it seems weird, but my hair isn't that straight around my bangs and towards the bottom of my hair. If this helps, my curling iron is made of metal. It's not that good, because i've had it for a while.
so my question is if using my curling iron as a straightener is going to be ok? will it damage my hair? if so, how much? is this safe?

i have thick thick THICK hair. you dont even know!! it is soo thick i can't curl it.
i want my hair thinner is there anything i can do to make it thinner???? my mom said something about going to the hairdressers and theres something you can do to make thick hair thin.

okay so i have really really thick straight hair. its pin straight and you cant even imagine how thick it is
because of this, my hair doesnt scrunch and when i put braids or use a curling iron, it looks horrible.
i might want a perm i dont know....
could i get a perm to make my hair like this???

I have a bump "down there" and Im worried about what it is..Its kind of big for a pimple & its a little red. It also hurts when I put pressure on it. could it be a boil? how do i get rid of this bump?!

Scared to get sick!!

I have a deep fear of germs and getting sick. Even the thought of catching a regular cold drives me crazy. I was my hands for 10 minutes, and at school, I wear a bandanna that covers my nose and mouth to help keep the germs away. I mean, hey it's not my fault that kids at my school go swimming in 10 degree weather over the weekend, and then catch a cold. Basically Everyone is sick at my school ALL the time.
Some of my teachers get mad at me when I wear my bandanna, but if they make me sit next to, talk to, and help out sick people, why shouldn't I be able to wear it? I'm not going to get sick because of one stupid person. Last week, I skipped alot of my classes just because I sat next to sick people in them and I don't want t...

okay, well my mom and her boyfriend smoke. a lot.
i only visit on saturdays, but it drives me CRAZY because whenever i come home i smell like ciggerettes. and i dispise that smell. i don't like people who smoke that much either, because i have heart issues and i can't really breathe around it.
how can i try and convince my mom and her boyfriend to stop smoking? i already tried, and i told them how bad it is for you and everything, but they didnt' care. i WANT them to care. i hate this.
can someone give me advice on how to avoid this? or something?

ok there is this guy i really really like but im not sure if he likes me he is sooo funny and cute but there are other people that like him to but he doesnt even give them the time of day so i started talking to him on myspace but he never answers back every time i see him or talk to him i get butterflies in my stomach im not the prettiest girl in the bunch but im definately not ugly people tell me im pretty but i dont think i really am so i was wondering what i could do to make him notice me more i would also like to know from guys wat they look for in a girl PLEASE

judging family

I see my dad's side of the family every week usually and they judge me a lot and never believe what I say since I'm too young to know any better. I'm 17 and I've had to grow up quickly due to a harsh childhood. I think I should know what I think and believe and they somehow still don't believe me. I have given up on having real conversations with them, which I miss, so what should I do to get them to trust what I say? I really am out of ideas here and they are my family so I do need them.

Okay, so I'm a 14 year old female. There's this guy in one of my classes, and he's a junior, so he's probably 16-17. Since the beginning of the year, he has always paid "special attention" to me, like teasing me and stuff. I even recall a while back in October-ish, I was walking in the hallway afterschool, l and he was with his friend, and he stopped to talk to me for no reason at all. Back then, I thought he was kinda hot but never seriously considered him as a potential bf because a guy 2 years older than me having a crush on ME? The notion was impossible.

okay so as you can see from the subject, my boyfriends mom got me this dress and its a size 8. and i havent seen it yet but my bf told me that she got it. and right now im in a size like 12 maybe. and the next time im gonna see them (its a long dist. relationship) is in feb. on the weekend of the 16th. so is there anyway possible i can get down to a size 8 in the next like 3weeks?
i'll do anything. (just i dont have money to go to a gym.)

well my problem is that i have this friend and she is older then me and in a higher grade and she does everything like me, i cut my hair, she did it the same way, i dyed it and messed up and she dyed it and tryed to get it look the same, i want to be a photographer and she said too me she wanted to be a fashion designer and now she says she wants to be a photographer. i am skinnyish and she is kinda bigger and she said she wants to go on a crash diet(which i told her was very bad) to get skinnyer. i don't want to hurt her feeling but i want her to stop and be her own person. So this Valentines Day, I want to go all out for a gift for my boyfriend. I was thinking of baking him a giant heart cookie with some cute decorations on it, but I thought that it may be too common. I want to do something out of the ordinary for him. I have already tried google, and I couldn't find something unique.
So what do you think could be a cute, creative gift?
And it doesn't have to be something he likes or anything like clothes or things of that nature.
