I know that looking good in public is important and that guys like good looking girls but my friends are getting on my nerves about it! They are so obsessed with having the "perfect" figure and make-up so that these "hot" boys will show interest in them. One of my friends finally told me that the rest of the group is upset with me because my boyfriend is "hot" and I didn't even have to "try" to get him. I did "try" though...I approached him at lunch after our science class and said, "Hey, I think you're neat. Would you happen to be free this weekend?" That was it! They're upset I didn't go to extremes like they did, I guess.

Home alone and bored...ideas for good entertainment?

I'm stuck home this weekend all alone and I'm so bored. My parents went on a business trip and they let me stay home but there's nothing to do! I really don't feel like going out either because I'm on my period and I'm tired a lot. Is there anything fun to do without leaving the house? I thought maybe some sort of neat free internet game or something? I can't think of anything. I don't know...

The one person I have ever loved, who I lost my virginity to (huge mistake), bared my soul to, shared my future goals and dreams with, and who I planned my entire future with, doesn't want me anymore. He broke up with me today after 3 years of dating. I really thought we were going to get married and have a good future life together. This completely came out of the blue. how is it that cancer can transform a cell and replicate and manipulate itself as the cell host, yet cell transformation with linear Dna is foreign to the cell and the cell is unable to regulate itself with the transmitted Dna?
what are the differences of transmission?
how does the cancer break through the membrane barrier?
is it scientifically possible to transmit linear Dna if it is combined with bacterial cells?
are there any experiments in the scientific world working with manipulation of linear Dna and, or cell transformation?
i've been doing some google research, but if you know any websites that are recomendable, please let me know.

I moved to a new house about two years ago, and I had a lot of babysitting experience where I used to live. When I came to my new home, I joined a church and met TONS (60, tons) of little kids there. One of my new friends here is really experienced in babysitting also, so we decided to create a babysitting club. There are two things that I need advice on.

My highschool has done a lot wrong for me. I left school because my insomnia is terrible causing me to leave school. I had documents stating I needed to be home schooled. For months my school ignored me and my mom about a tutor. We finally got one but then the school failed to give me ANY WORK! My tutor had to make up lesson plans for me. Then the school ignored that work! But yet they have the time to send me a letter to attend summer school. I got my tutor and had to pay her out of my own pocket! I took the MCAS with her and did pretty good since it was in biology and I hadn't had any kind of biology in 8 months due to my school. They keep ignoring me and I'm sick and tired of it. Scholarships.. Read Please!

Okay, So I was awarded 3 scholarships. They totaled to about 800 dollars. The thing is, I may not be able to go to college in the fall, but I'd still like to attend college in the spring semester. So, would I still be able to keep the scholarship money in order to use for the spring semester?

iPod --> CD?

Today I burned some CDs off of a playlist on iTunes. Just as the instructions said (as well as common sense), I went to File --> Burn Disk, and the diskes were burned onto the CDs.
When I put them in my car though, it wouldn't read. As if there was nothing on the CD. And when I put that same CD back into my computer to REBURN, the music WAS THERE. So it went onto the CD but won't play in a normal CD player or radio?
What did I do wrong?

What does Michael Jackson's tombstone look like?

Since Michael Jackson recently died (and I was totally a fan) I was curious what his headstone or tombstone looked like. I missed a lot of the footage from his family and friends that was filmed after his death so I thought I might have missed the revealing/unveiling of it. I'm sure they put a lot of thought into the grave site so I was just wondering...

Tips on getting good grades

I am looking to get good grades this year in school. Usually I am an A-B student but I'd like to try to make straight As this year in school. I was hoping that somebody has some tips for getting better grades, or maybe even a top 10 ways list to get straight As. Anything would help though, really.

What's so great about GM's Chevy Volt?

I saw commercials for, apparently, the new Chevy Volt that GM has created. The commercials were ALL OVER Hulu and it was driving me crazy until they revealed what the entire thing was about. Anyway, now I'm confused why the Chevy Volt is so outstanding. I haven't read anything about it (I'm not big into cars and was afraid I wouldn't be able to understand the lingo) but hoping somebody here could explain what's so great about it? Pretty please? :D

Well I have two questions to this topic. First I will explain the situation.
My boyfriend and I broke up (Ex now) about a month and a half ago. I left him after 2 years because he always abused me, never made time for me, and wouldn't let me do anything. He used me sexually and financially. I finally left, and couple weeks later I found someone else. I got over it so quickly because I never really loved my ex for a couple months prior to the breakup.
