How to clean ears properly

Posted Friday October 9 2009, 4:52 am

I know this sounds really, really stupid but how do I clean the insides of my ears properly? I read on a Q-Tip box that you aren't suppose to insert the Q-Tip into the ear canal. How do you clean ears then if you cannot put the Q-Tip in your ear? I can't figure out another way to do it and I feel stupid! Can someone just explain this to me?

Does wearing thongs cause infections?

Posted Friday October 9 2009, 4:43 am

My mom said thong panties caused yeast infections and bacterial infections in the vagina. She said I shouldn't wear them for long periods of time if I absolutely "had" to wear them so I wouldn't risk my health so much. Is this true? If so, why?

Best natural deodorant

Posted Friday October 9 2009, 4:41 am

I am looking for a very good NATURAL deodorant to try. I have tried a few different ones but none of them seem to have a good reaction with my body. I also thought about trying chlorophyll tablets to help reduce my body odor but would prefer to try natural deodorant before I start such tablets. What is the best natural deodorant that you're aware of?

Thank you for all your help.

Are cordless phones bad for you? Do cordless phones cause cancer?

Posted Friday October 9 2009, 4:40 am

Years ago I heard about how cell phones caused tumors in the brain and other areas of the body where the cell phone had contact with all day. I heard that these tumors were not cancerous, for the most part though.

So, I got to thinking yesterday and am wondering if cordless phones cause this sort of problem too? I suppose they don't work in the same way as cell phones but I'm not sure if they interact with our bodies like cell phones do. Does anyone know?

What to do...my wife wants to have sex with another man

Posted Friday October 9 2009, 4:38 am

Okay this is a bit complicated! I have always told my wife that I am open to a threesome with another man if it would make her happy. When we first got together she mentioned the idea, sort of playfully, and I took it as a serious thought of hers. I let her know that if things were going to be completely open between us then I would consider such things. I guess I didn't think she was truly serious.

Anyway, the last discussion about this sort of sexual fantasy was a month ago and she said, "No! Absolutely not!" and that she is married and only wants to be with me. To be honest, I was quite relieved. I have no sexual desire for me and I would prefer my wife to only be with me.

Well, about 3 days...

I just broke up with my boyfriend on Sunday and through all the fighting and break-up and confusion there was this boy here at college to get me through the day. Even now he'll still text me almost everyday just to see how I'm doing. Just someone to check up on me and talk to. We met at orientation so I've known him for a while. Well after the break-up I developed a crush on this guy which hasn't surprised me at all. He reminds me so much of my best guy friend from home, and I'm physically attracted to him. We've hung out everyday since the break-up. Like from 7p-12am. He hangs out with my group of girls a lot and when we're in the group its just really casual conversation between us but then when we're in his room at night (with his roomat...

Doomed love affair. Should I go for it? How do i hide if i do?

Posted Friday October 9 2009, 12:35 am

Hi.
I have a huge problem.

I'm 19/f and come from a super strict crazy ass family. My parents are very in touch with their culture (not from here) where as I was raised here (I moved when I was 9) I can relate to them but not completely. I feel closer to the culture here...yet I am not allowed to date (No I am not Muslim but we're sort of similar... they're cooler. they believe in love. we're probably mores strict that way and marriage and relationships are a contract. I am not revealing what exactly since I am pretty sure a lot of my friend might be on here) or be romantically involved I have to be at home most of the time. Malls, movies, any other form of entertainment requiring you to be out of the house is highly d...

confused

I had a long distant relationship that lastest 5 years and he lived in Boston, Massachusetts. This relationship has been over for 2 years now and I moved on 100%.

whenever I look at pictures of Boston.."City, streets, skyline" etc. I feel like I belong there..sort of like it's my home..my peace spot. I love the city and I want to go back and visit someday. It's really weird sort of like a "Dejavu" type of thing..although it's been 2 years since I have last been to Boston I feel like it's sort of a past life type of thing and If I go back I will fufill my happiness by being in the city again/

Why is this?

ive just never been so disappointed/upset/jealous involving him in the two years ive known him..

what is "feeling sorry for yourself" anyway?

Posted Thursday October 8 2009, 7:37 pm

i understand what the meaning of it, but why do people tell you that just because your sad or depressed about certain things? and why does everyone look at it like its such a bad thing? i understand if someone is constantly moping around wanting attention and just not even wanting things to change, drowning in their own problems and not paying attention to anyone else's- that really is bad and stupid. but people overuse it so much and now whenever someone is hurt or upset, just crying here and there, wanting to talk to someone about it, or trying to suck it up but it doesn't work out very well, they're like "oh stop feeling sorry for yourself." so being sad is feeling sorry for yourself? i've been through a lot and i can totally ...

16/f

so i was in a huge rush to get home, because i was already stressed enough.. so on my way home, i accidentally turned on the wrong street. and so i was planning to do a U-turn, so i was sitting waiting for about 10 minutes because it was traffic time, and the cars behind me were building up. and when i thought that there were no cars, i finally did a U-turn, and all the sudden a car behind me honked, so i hurried and got in the other lane before we got into an accident. so it was a red light, and cars started piling up again, and i was sitting waiting for a green light... then my friend went up to me and said "you almost hit my mom..." and i said "that was your mom?! ohhh sorry!" and he goes "yea...

How can I let this guy know that I like him? (sorry its long)

Posted Thursday October 8 2009, 7:05 pm

I have a small, yet growing crush on a guy named Rick. He just moved to my town not too long ago. He's pretty shy and doesn't really talk that much to me or anyone else. I end up starting conversations all the time but they are usually dead end questions because I'm also shy and I can't really think of what to say. I also catch myself doing embarrassing things around him all the time but he doesn't seem to mind and is friendly anyway. I'm too afraid to say anything to his face about liking him or finding him attractive because I'm not really sure if he likes me.
He looks at me and then looks away real quick all the time but he never stares at me.

He catches me staring at him all the time too, I can only look at him for...

melted plastic on iron

Posted Thursday October 8 2009, 6:19 pm

so one day, i decided to be a big girl and iron my clothes. While i was doing this, my clumsiness got the better of me and i knocked the iron off the ironing board and onto our carpet. Our carpet is fine. I only realised then that the carpet was made of some plastic. Oh, the iron fell face down. So the hot side (where you press onto your clothes) was on the carpet. And because it was hot, the carpet melted and now that i had left it to cool. It has this hard plastic stuff on it. And i cant remove it..
Does anyone know how to remove this? Im really desperate and a bit of a cheap-skate.. :) my mom gets back in 2 weeks!
Thank you..
