I just got braces 2 weeks ago and i ate macas (mcdonalds) yesterday, my friends who have braces say that eating macas isnt good for you if you have braces... is this true? i mean how does mcdonalds effect the braces?

M-D's is generally like any other food that comes in contact with your teeth.
However, I'm sure that M-D's food has a bunch of preservatives etc. + more gross stuff in the composition of the food, so it's not exactly good for anything at all (I strongly suggest that you watch the movie "Super Size Me").
If the food did somehow have an impact on braces, it would have to have some high concentration of a corrosive substance... Eeew..!
So, you may eat M-D's with braces. Just keep in mind (as you probably already know) that coke, candy, etc. -as provided on the menu- does affect braces.

Well, I am getting braces next week..Ugh, I am so not excited but oh well, I am going to have to suck it up and just get it over with..But my question is I want to get colored ones so if any of yall have ever had braces, can you tell me what color do you think is the best...I have heard yellow makes your teeth look stained and clear isn't good either. I am thinking about hott pink. But I don't know...I have brown hair and blue/green eyes if that makes a difference haha. So, any suggestions would be wonderful. Haha. Thanks in advance. (link)

It depends.. The dog I have now (and the ones I have had in the past) get sick from them because they bite off chunks that are too big to digest properly. It's not the best type of chewing product for dogs, but I don't think it's as dangerous as people say it is. I think the key is just to keep a close eye on how the dog reacts to it.

What does it mean to break a horse? I know that my friend rode my other friends horse, and now that horse is "broken". What does this mean?
PS: The horse is around 10 years old and was already trained and a good horse...but after he got "broke" he got a little slower and brattier. (link)

Seems like horse-people have different definitions for "breaking" a horse. Generally it means "to train". In your case, the horse was trained more than it already was. Sometimes older horses get spoiled along the way and need "re-schooling". The 10 yr. old has negative behavior now possibly because the training was (and continues to be) unpleasant for him. [I don't know the details of the horse or its history/owners, so it's my best guess.]

It's possible that this is her first litter. Inexperienced mothers tend to do this more often. I had a mouse that (unfortunately) devoured about half of her young. It's not really a rare event.
It's ok; it's natural. All you can do is let it happen. The mom may be detecting sickness (or etc.), so it's best to let nature take its course.
It's important not to handle the newborns; it usually makes conditions worse (your scent may encourage more neglect on the mother's part).
It's been a long time since I've bred mice, so I encourage you to research it more (for better detail).

so, i'm kind of a nerd. I'm not a loser, i have friends and everything. It's just that i make school and working hard my top priority. I'm just naturally a fast thinker so it feels like i'm the only person who ever talks in class. So I have a couple problems
1. how can I continue to participate in class without people thinking i'm a know it all
2. What should i do when my friends are like "we can't study with you because you know all the answers!" or "It's not fair, you're so much smarter than me" when they say this is really bugs me cuz i am only smart because i work hard, so it IS fair!

First, be yourself! lol. You shouldn't have to worry about being a "nerd"... You have friends too, so what is the problem? As long as you are happy and in a good life, it shouldn't matter. But anyways,
1. You don't have to answer every single question in class. You can get away with being more quiet...
2. This you can't really fix. lol. I have a friend that switched schools because she hated being labeled "smartest person" ALL the time. I agree with you, it is fair that you are smarter. So keep it up, and don't let their comments get to you. You have an advantage- being smart and hard working.

Okayyy. I quit my job that I only had for about a week, because I was completely miserable there. And once I told everyone they tell me that I'm lazy, and that I'll never make it in the real world. and the thing is, I'm not lazy at all, I work my ass off. They should understand that you didn't like it without any convincing. And if they still don't understand and they still think you are lazy, then it doesn't matter. You should be concerened only about what makes you happy.

I really need a better room cleaning strategey. Does anybody have anytips on better ways to clean my room and keep it clean. everything just seems so overwhelming when it gets messy and then I just dont know where to start.

Clean it very well, then whenever you are in your room just don't let things get messy. Prevent it.. Instead of letting clutter build up, just organise things while you are using them.
Also, cutting clutter helps a lot. Get shelves and containers to put your stuff in so that it won't be everywhere.

I just got braces three days ago [I had them before when I was in second grade] However, I'm in intense pain! I can't eat anything, even soft foods like soft taco's hurt like crazy, and pasta! I'm on Tylenol, I ice my mouth several times a day, I use the bite plate they gave me, and I put on Orajel. But it still hurts so bad, What should I do? (link)

If the pain doesn't clear up in another day or two, you should go back and make them loosen the wires.
Or next time you go, ask them to be a little more gradual with the tightening. My pain never lasted more than 2 days, and that's because my ortho takes it slow and makes transitions gradually. So don't be afraid to ask them to slow it down a little.

My life pretty much sucks all thanks to this one girl Linda. This is why ; In 3rd grade she took my #1 best friend away from me. Soon, I got over it. Now all thanks to her I met this guy Paul. I can hardly even stand him. Because May 30, we went out, and then he broke up with me 5 days later. I was crushed. July 21, he fell back inlove with me. [Again], 5 days later he broke up with me
Here is the worst part. Today was Linda's party. I tried and tried to loose weight, but my stupid body is to fat. Anyways I went to her party. Amy was there. Amy is really pretty. I really dislike Amy. She was like "ooh, i hate fat people, thats discusting" infront of my face. Paul was there. Paul did not speak to me at all, but he kept starring at me. He is really cute.
Linda's away message [on aim] said she`s going to the movies with Amy and Paul. They were making fun of Paul before.
Sometimes I feel like there is noone to talk to but god. I don`t know why that whatever I say everybody thinks it`s pointless. It has a meaning to me.
Anyways my mom doesnt seem to care about me, at all. But im fine i guess. My father passed away about 5 months ago.
I woke up today at 1. By 2, my day was ruined. Well, I imed Paul, and he blocked me. I was talking to Tyler & Tyler was like now he knows your fat.
Well guess what the 1st day of school, [Aug. 15] I am going to wow everyone. They are going to wish they never made fun of me. Nobody knows how bad I feel. It seems like nobody on this planet loves me. Also, I feel like I cannot trust anyone. Anyways, I fouund out Paul & Amy made out in the movies for 30 minuetes. Oh, how I wish i was Amy. Right now, I don`t know how I feel. All I know is like I hate Amy. Yesterday and today were the worst days of my life. Right know it seem as if my mom hates me. Whats new? I really need to improve my life. One day im going to snap.

Get away from all of these people. That's the #1 thing. They aren't worth anything to your life except negativity.
No one is ever as fat as they think, or see in the mirror. You may go on a diet- but don't do it for "them", do it for yourself.
As of now, make changes. Do things you wouldn't have done before, and you will get involved with good sorts of people. Your life has greater potential than you think.

My dog has been acting strange. She digs her nose in between her blanket inside of her cage, and has started licking herself 'down there' a lot. This behavior is the same as when she was pregnant when she was 8 months old. She is currently 3 years old. What's going on? (link)

If you try bonding with him/her and he/she still doesn't like you, it's probably just part of his/her personality to like certain people. Maybe he/she had a bad experience in the past with a person who looked similar to you. Just let the cat know that you want to be his/her friend. Talking to him/her helps a lot (yes I am talking about a cat). Your voice is comforting, wether your cat understands you or not.

i want to get a puppy who gets along well with people and other dogs because i have an older dog, too. i want it to maybe be a small dog and one that won't be outragously expensive because i am 14 and i would probably have to pay myself. any ideas on a type i could look into buying? thanks! (link)

Please look into your local pound/humane society for another dog. They have puppies there regularly, and adoption isn't too expensive.
Also, why not get an older dog? They have already grown into their size and personality (so what you see is what you get). With a puppy, you have a bit more of a restless little animal who needs attention all the time.
Anyway, do a dog a favor and give it a good home by adoption!

I don't think that cold water makes any difference. But when your hair is healthy, it shines. Use lots of conditioner and ask a hairdresser for any good products.

Ok so theres this guy that I like, lets call him A and ive liked him for like really long time and hes never reeely noticed me that much but i still like him and theres another guy, lets call him B who I met not thta long ago nd i talk to him and stuff and my frind told me that he said he liked me and now I like dont no what too do. I'm taking my dog to get put down on Friday. She has cancer and is really sick. I've had her for 10 years and it's going to be really devastating. I don't know how I'm going to handle it. Has anyone else had a pet put down, how did you get over it? What's it going to feel like, no one close to me has ever died before! (link)

It is hard, and only you can figure out a way to handle it.
It's hard not having their physical presence with you anymore, I know.
There are good things that can help you. You know that she had a great life, and it sounds like you both share a great bond. It's her time, though. It's a shock but it will wear off over time... Time can heal your wounds, but only if you allow it. Just don't forget to be happy. I always choose to celebrate a life instead of mourn it. It's bittersweet in a way. She would want you to be happy, anyways.
Most likely you have others that love you and will help you though this sad time. Everything will turn out ok.

Hey there, honu22, I read your post on Adam and Eve and just want you to know that even if there were other humans on the earth to help populate it, there still needs to be a beginning of the human race which necessitates one male and female to begin the whole procreative process, so we find ourselves back at square one. Yes, Adam and Eve were our original parents and yes their children mated with each other until God put an end to it before the "inbreeding" and subsequent blood lines posed serious health risks. At this point "incest" became taboo and became sinful, because any further inbreeding would produce undesirable genetic defects. Also take into consideration that Eve (superwoman) could have had multiple children during every pregnancy and it is possible that the jestation period during pregnancy may have been much shorter in those days. It is also possible that Eve may have been able to have children for hundreds of years. To the best of my knowledge the Bible does not specify how old Cain and Able were at the time of the murder, so Eve could have had a number of pregnancies before the first murder took place. If Cain and Able were 200 years old at the time of Able's demise and if their mother, Eve, was giving birth to twins every year for 200 years, then she could have given birth to 398 children who in turn could have done the same and the next thing you know you have hundreds of thousands of humans if not millions of them. Marijuana is generally not addictive, Cocaine is super addictive. The combo, probably very addictive. Both are horribly bad for you, addiction or not.

Well all I know is that you shouldn't have to "have a boy" to fit in in school. We all want boyfriends, but most likely it's not going to happen. All you can do is be a bit more social to different people at school, and someone will like you.
A good thing about being single is it makes you focus more in school. You are not so emotionally tied down either (because a lot of times you'll just end up breaking up and crying for a week anyway). Although it's nice to have a boyfriend, there are still more important things.
