i know that it gets your hair to not get oily as quickly. but im not sure about shiny. im sure if works for some people, but theres always products you can use and certian shampoos and conditioners that are like made for that.

hope this helps!! :] ♥

hey! it is absolutely true that cold water is good for your hair... i even asked my hair dresser and he said it's true! you don't have to freeze in the shower by having the cold water on the whole time... just use warm water... warm enough that you aren't freezing, but not scorching hot because it will dry out your hair and your skin. after you are done shampooing and conditioning, turn on the cold water and soak your hair in it... it will close up the pores (which open up during your hot shower)... and closing the pores will help eliminate frizz and make it shinier! :) let me know if you need more help!

I do that to mine, and it makes it a little shinier. Another thing I heard that does it is after you shampoo your hair, squeeze all the water you can out of it before you condition it.

It can do but I have heard that the main effect is that it helps to reduce frizz.

I know this will sound odd but the most well known product for making your hair shinier is beer. It's absoloutely true. If you can get hold of some beer and rub some into your hair, then rinse out with cold water, it is supposed to give your hair a great shine.

It makes a difference on some people's hair but not on everyone's. It does on mine.

It doesn't make that big of a difference. Use a good conditioner and deep condition once a week. Also, don't use too much hair product and avoid blowdrying and straightening as much as possible because they're really bad for your hair.

I don't think that cold water makes any difference. But when your hair is healthy, it shines. Use lots of conditioner and ask a hairdresser for any good products.

It's supposed to. I also heard that rubbing an ice cube over your hair is supposed to, also.
