Well, I am getting braces next week..Ugh, I am so not excited but oh well, I am going to have to suck it up and just get it over with..But my question is I want to get colored ones so if any of yall have ever had braces, can you tell me what color do you think is the best...I have heard yellow makes your teeth look stained and clear isn't good either. I am thinking about hott pink. But I don't know...I have brown hair and blue/green eyes if that makes a difference haha. So, any suggestions would be wonderful. Haha. Thanks in advance.

i would try...
- dark blue
- purple

also.. i like to change mine for the holidays..

- pink & red for valentines day
sugarplum07 answered Thursday May 31 2007, 12:51 pm: That's true about the yellow. Orange too. I highly suggest your don't get either color.
Clear is all right as long as you brush your teeth for the recommended three times a day. If you didn't, the bands would turn a gross yellow color, and you don't want that.
When I had braces, I was really self-conscious about them, so I went for clear and white bands so they wouldn't stand out so much. But now that I look back, it's really not that bad. You won't have them forever, so have fun with it.
You could get a mixture of colors like hott pink and light pink. Blue and white look good together. Or maybe red white and blue in honor of the 4th of July. You could get your school's colors too. [ sugarplum07's advice column | Ask sugarplum07 A Question ]
beckyboo answered Wednesday May 30 2007, 11:09 pm: This is just my opinion, but I wouldn't suggest hot pink/lime green/any really bright color. It just brings attention to the braces and I find that bright colors make me just stare at people's mouths while theyre talking.
I've had navy blue for a while and I really like it. It looks a little more mature and makes the braces look more natural.
mdac129 answered Wednesday May 30 2007, 10:28 pm: i had braces for 4 years, first of all they are legal forms of mouth torture, and second of all dont get any bright colors that are not like yellow or orange beacuse unless you brush your teeth after everytime you eat the little colored things get stained and it makes you look silly beacuse youll have pink braces with yellow stains on the pink so pick a color like blue or purple ora dark red, do that or carry a toothbrush around with you and a tube of tootpaste also [ mdac129's advice column | Ask mdac129 A Question ]
L0V3_AlL_TH3_WAY answered Wednesday May 30 2007, 9:06 pm: i've had braces for like nine months and i've tried...
- light pink & hot pink
- lime green & hot pink
- hot pink & orange (favorite)
- baby blue & lime green
- pink & black
- purple & light pink
those all look really cute. oh yeah don't get clear because they look weird and yellow makes your teeth look yellow.. also you can get colors of whatever holiday is coming up so for like 4th of july do red & blue.
braces suck but your teeth will look fabulous after.
cHaSsi3x answered Wednesday May 30 2007, 8:23 pm: i wouldn't suggest getting white, yellow, or green. white stains, yellow makes your teeth look yellow, and the same with green. silver looks good on anybody, and i've never had trouble wearing hot pink. that's the color i usually got! braces suck, but if you want them off quickly i suggest you do everything they tell ya to do! good luck!
