my cat doesnt like me
almost a year ago i got a 3year old cot i was so happy but i was not there when my dad brought her home i came home week later to find my cat hateiing me loveing my dad i dont no wat to do because i really want her to like me any suggestions?

If you try bonding with him/her and he/she still doesn't like you, it's probably just part of his/her personality to like certain people. Maybe he/she had a bad experience in the past with a person who looked similar to you. Just let the cat know that you want to be his/her friend. Talking to him/her helps a lot (yes I am talking about a cat). Your voice is comforting, wether your cat understands you or not.

Well i got a cat to and i wanted her to like me so what i did is i put everything that a cat needs in my room and let her rome around my room and she sleeps twith me everynight and she likes me so i don't know if this will help u but it helped me. Bam

just try to spend the most time with it as possible. also when you are together scratch under its chin. my cats love that. you should get cat treats too, my cat always loves me after i feed him his favorite treats! hope i helped!

give her milk, pet her all the time, rub her stomach cats love that! give her catnip...i swear its like cat weed they are obsessed with it my cat goes CRAZY when catnip is around he acts really weird lol

Cats are often one person animals, meaning they bond the best with one person in particular. It looks like your cat picked your dad but never fear, it can be cured! Just give your cat alot of attention. Learn to pick up the differences between when she wants to be cuddled and weh she wants to be left alone. Try to spend at least some time cuddling her every day. Also, try to be the one who feeds her. She will love you! And treats are good, too, just not too many or she will become spoiled!

Cats are selfish and will love whoever feeds them both cat food and treats. Become the main provider of food and never the one who bothes her! My two were incredibly fickle on this basis.
Learn when she wants attention (she will come and meow for it) and when she wants to be left alone (watch out for the tail flick) and be careful when picking her up- some cats hate this unless you hold their feet for example so they feel secure.
Really basic things but as I say cats are generally not as daftly loyal as dogs and will latch on to whoever serves their best interests!

That happens to me sometimes. Usually those kinds of things take time but feed your cat 2-3 times a day. Encourage to play with her and buy her some cute toys for her. Also, pet her several times a day and offer her treats. Just know these kinds of things take time, so just don't gave up hope since you only had her for a year or so.

Cats will usually latch on to whoever is showing it affection. Try holding it more and petting it.
Make sure you are the one who feeds her.
She may always go to your dad first because he spent so much time with her when she first came into your home. You can probably get her to hang around with you more if you really work on it. :)
