Hey! I straighten my hair alot, but my straightner takes at least an hour for me to straighten my hair (and it still does barely anything) does anyone know of a certain brand or type of straightner that will straighten my hair quickly, and make give it that straight glossy look? without frying my hair? tHANKS A BUNCH!

I have naturally curly hair and I like to straighten my hair once a week. It takes me forever to dry my hair because I have a lot but the straightner I have works wonders. And my hair is healthy so it's not hurting it. I use Conair..Ceramic Technology.

I know this is wrong but i got myself into some serious mess.My bestfriend has a bf and they been together for 9 months and the other day me and him saw each other at this one place and we ended up in his car doing things.I feel really bad i don't know if i should tell her or not.I dont want to but i dont want her finding out from anybody else because i love her so much she is like my sister.IM confused plz help!

You shouldn't have done it and you know it. It's better for you to go to her and express how sorry you are to her face then for her to hear it around school or somebody else tell her. She may hate you for the rest of your life, she may be understanding and give you another chance. Everybody makes mistakes and you gonna learn from them. My best friend would never do something like this but if she had I would have to forgive her because she is my twin and I can't live without her but you need to tell your friend this before she hears it from someone else.

You should like a lot of guys. While you are waiting for the right one you should have fun with the wrong ones. Some people say that you just know when you meet your soul mate but I'm going to tell you now Lacey there's gonna be a lot of boys who you think are "the one" but they won't be. I have this friend, and I love her so much!! (sisterly) And we are best friends, well, she just discovered boys and there is one that she really likes. whenever we're together, it's all she talks about and thinks about. all she wants to do is look at pictures of him and talk about him!! My best friend!! Seriously, she is my long lost twin haha. I love her to death but for most of our friendship she was boy crazy doesn't sound like she was as bad off as your friend but she was pretty bad. If you talked to her about your feelings that's all you can do. If you don't give her the attention she wants she'll realize you are not interested and lessen up her obessesion she'll be afraid of messing up your friendship.

Bad posture runs in my family. My mom's shoulder is one higher than the other, and she constantly slouches. Ive noticed over the past year, i have been becoming the same way. I cant even stand up or sit up straight because it hurts. My shoulders are slouched, and ive already gone to the doctor to get it checked out. They said i dont have scoliosis (spelled it wrong), but how am i supposed to improve my posture if it hurts?

I have a bad back. In 10th grade, I was taken out of school for a year because I could not sit for more than 15 minutes. I went to a lot of doctors and they never diagnosed me or anything. Doctors these days are just a laugh. My best advice would have to be not to push it too hard don't try correcting your posture soo much that it ends up hurting something else and don't out too much restraint on your back. I was once put in a back brace because of a doctor and ended up my back was swelling and couldn't because of the brace. Just try to do a little each day but definately don't over do it because it's herdity and there's not much you can do with that. Try doing some athletic things..my sister got out of having a bad back like all of us by doing sports. Good luck!

I have this friend that has a cancer but I dont know wut kind and he was doing really well untill the day of my uncles b_day.
We got a call on the phone that said he wasnt doing to well and that they gave him some medicine that they usually give people who are about to die.
I am so worried wut if he dies and we will never be able to see him again.
He is only 17 years old

HELP WANTED.

I have lost a lot of people to this horrible disease. You are in a case where you don't know what's happening. And to watch somebody go through this disease is the hardest thing to do. You just have to be thankful for the time you get to spend with your friend and hope that nothing bad happens but if it does the best thing to do is write your thoughts down if you have nobody you can really confide in and realize that your friend will be in a better place. Your friend is going through a lot of pain. If you need to talk I'm here, been through this a lot.

Hey it's me yet again with yet another problem.
There's this kid who I have strong feelings for, and we were into each other for the longest time. He just broke up with his girlfriend and he's miserable because he cared about her... gurr it makes me so jealous!
He's ignored me for the past month... just all of a sudden stopped liking me. I care about him SOOO much. Should I be mad for his ingoring me like that and going out with someone else... and just avoid him? Or try, now that he's single... to get his attention again????

If I could make a movie or a book out of my high school years this would be the main plot. Give him another shot. "You wrong me once, shame on you. Wrong me twice, shame on me."

Okay my friend likes this guy, but they broke up and he doesnt lik eher at all..so she had a new boyfriend...and i started to like her ex so i told her so she wouldnt be mad at me..but she got mad and we are in a fight now...and then she broke up with her new boyfriend cause i like her ex.. and ithink shes gonna try and get her ex back so i dont have a chance but im not sure...i dont know what to do cause i was only trying to be a good friend by telling her that so she wouldnt have to find out if i like dated him

Friends don't date other friend'd exs. I have never dated anyone one of my friends have dated. I am not saying this works for everybody but it's worked for us. Depending on how close you and this girl are it's a choice you have to make. If you consider her one of your best friends there's no point in risking your frienship for some guy. Boys will come and go but your friends your true friends will always be around! Good luck. Follow your heart.

My sister and I never got along. 2 completely different people and she always thinks she used to always think she was the boss. Very selfish most of the time. You just gotta stay strong and keep your head up. You may think you hate her or she hates you but that isn't true. In time when you guys get older and more mature things will get better..I promise, they did for me :) Keep up a good fight!

This is not really a question, but a request...

Can we please stop it with the "I rate" and "Rate me!" crap? Are getting ratings THAT important to you? Does it somehow make your life complete? This site isn't a game, people... ratings are not for keeping score. There is no competition - just advice. The ratings are supposed to be for keeping the bad advice off the site, much like we have the moderators in place to help keep the really bad questions off the site.

I mean, when I see a question that says "I rate!" in the body or even subjet of it, it just screams "OMG! PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO ME!!!!!!" It is getting kind of pathetic, as we're seeing it ALL THE TIME!

I just started chours this year in school. My friends have told me that my music teacher will make you sing in front of the WHOLE class to see if you can be a soloist. I like to sing but I don't know if I have a good voice! I don't want to be humiliated in front of everyone! What should I do?

Just get up and do it, everything will go fine :o) You won't be humiliated because everyone is going to be nervous about the same fears you have. Just practice your little heart out until you have to do it..Practice makes Perfect! Good luck!

Does anyone know any good places to get good brands of hair straightners (sp)? what are some good brands??? please respond asap i rate really good!

Umm..you def. need a ceramic hair straightner because after a while the others really kill your hair. My sister bought one not too long ago from Walmart for under $20.00 so I know they are around. Check Walmart out if not, maybe Target but Walmart should have it.

i'm thinking about asking my parents for a Lap-Band procedure. it's where they make like a .5 inch incision and stick a rubber band that can be inflated around the top part of your stomach so that your food slowly trickles down into the bottom part of your stomach, filling you up faster. it's a lot safer than gastric bypass because there's no cutting or re-routing involved. have any of you heard about it or even had it? please help me! i checked my BMI and it's 53.5! i almost cried!! thanks.

I have never heard of that. I would never get any procedure to make me thin or help me get thin. I know a lot of people who have had gastric bypass and I think out of them all 1 I know is working but he just had it done in March the rest was a year or two ago and they are all overweight again. Diet and exercise that's what I would do. I have lost a lot weight just by doing that. Good luck :)

my little sister i always a pain. everday i would say hi to her and she would just give me a nasty look and go to her room. i am nice to her most of the time. we get a long once in a while, but rarely...ahh what do i do to win her over?

I don't really know your age or her age. But I am 18 and my sister is 15..16 in a few months and she is the same way. I never tried to win her over. I always said if she wants to be that way, let her. But now she's growing up and she needs her older sister to be there for her and she's coming around a lot. You can ignore your sister if it's too much for you or you can continue being nice. That's what I did. I was just nice all along and a few years down the road it's wearing on her. hahha Sisters are a pain but once you all grow up it will be a blessing. I have another sister who is 26 and me and her are so close. Just be patient and good luck!

i only have a few real friends that i like to spend time with and 2 of them are going away for the rest of the summer...how do i meet new people so that i won't be bored to death?? i was thinking about getting a job to keep me busy - would that help me meet people?

Yeah, a job with help with a lot of things. It will help with boredom since you will have hours. It will help with meeting people. I remember when I worked I became very close to all the girls I worked with..we had girls night and we hung out alone too, depends on what you are interested in. Also it will give you some extra cash :)

ahh!! ok, soo I've been playing the piano for about 5 years. when I first started my mom literally had to drag me there because I didn't want to do it. then I was lying to her saying I enjoyed it. I thought, hey if I did something for my mom, maybe she wouldn't hate me. But anyways, I have been telling her I dont want to do it anymore for about a year. She said to me today "I dont want to listen to this. you dont want to do anything but sit on your lazy ass" OMG, I can't stand this! I hate the piano! My mom tells me she loves me but those are just words. she doesn't actually mean it. Whenever I try to talk her her she's like "I'm not going to listen to this! You're a very ungrateful spoiled brat" Oh, and she was on the phone and said "she always complains school is very hard for her, but why would she graduate number 2 out of 360?" OMG, I have to study about 5 hours a day, and spend about 3 hours on homework!! Please help! She does take me to the barn every day and does help me but I think thats only because horseback riding is my sport and she wants to get me "off my lazy ass"

From what you're seeing I don't see that your mom hates you. I have seen much more with the little boy I babysit and I don't think his mom hates him either. I think your mom wants you to go out there and do something with your life..maybe she didn't and she wants it for you, or maybe she did and she wants the same for you..so she feels if she pushes you hard growing up that will make you more likely to succeed. Talk to your mom and tell her you feel she doesn't care and that will probably help and clear the airways. Good luck!
