boring summer
i only have a few real friends that i like to spend time with and 2 of them are going away for the rest of the summer...how do i meet new people so that i won't be bored to death?? i was thinking about getting a job to keep me busy - would that help me meet people?

yes going for a job would be a great way for money during the school year, meeting new people, and a good responsibility check.

getting a job wouldnt nessasarily definatly help you meet becuz you miyt not be able to tlk on your job... like ur boss miyt be like wut r u doing having a conversation with that customer when that 1z over there waiting for sum assistantz! lol. so mayb thats not such a good idea for making friendz but for sumthing to do itz great, you get money in the process.

well yea getting a job would help you...when you and your friends go out or whatever get a big groupd of people to go and start making friends with people who you really werent all close too...new friendships are bound to pop up!!!

yea .. it would .. i had the same problem me nd my bf hang out evryday nd i went away nd now she went away .. except i cnt really work so i worked at my familys pizza place and got to kno all the drivers nd cooks nd stuff .. so mayb a waitess er stop and shop a lot of ppl who jst start working work there nd u can jst meet evryone be friendly

Yeah you can get a job, or maybe find neighbors your age, or you can get a membership at like a gym and work out and meet people there! Good luck hope your summer doesnt get boring for you.

gettin a job could help u meet ppl.. but it is pretty hard gettin a job.. try callin friends tat u arent tat close wit n maybe u could chill.. but hang in there summer is almost over! xoxo angie

Yeah, a job with help with a lot of things. It will help with boredom since you will have hours. It will help with meeting people. I remember when I worked I became very close to all the girls I worked with..we had girls night and we hung out alone too, depends on what you are interested in. Also it will give you some extra cash :)

you can meet new people anywhere. Getting a job would keep you busy and you could meet new people there to hang with. If you live on a crowded street you could hang out with them. You only say you have a few real friends but mayb you could hangout with your non real friends and get to know them better than before. It is hard to introduce yerself to ppl but thats how to have fun.

A job will help you meet people! All the time at my job, a bunch of girls will go out for dinner / movie after work. you become very close with the people you work with b/c u spend so much time with them. having a job is not all fun though, you are going to have to work more, which means less free time to hang out. but, you still will have free time, but not as much as you probably have now. also, you can go to the mall, the movies, even the gym to meet people. just be yourself and try to strike up a conversation with people.
