Hey, what's a website where you can send free ringtones to your phone? thanks oh I have a verizon phone if that helps
Here's one I've used in the past. No guarantee it will work for your phone though. It does work with Sprint some of the time.

I have about 12 floppy disks from about 4 or more years ago. I thought I had lost them, but I had them the whole time! Anyway, I put them in the (A:) Drive and it took FOREVER for it to read them. Finally, a box popped up saying that my disks needed to be formatted; however, going through the process would erase any information on the disks. I doubt there is anything on the disks I can't live without, but I don't need the disks anymore..just the information on them. Is there anyway I can go about getting the information onto my computer? Maybe from another computer?
Floppy disk are prone to errors/corruption (just like a politician.) If you are getting that error, chances are the diskettes are corrupt. If you want to spend some money, there's always hardware/software recovery tools and businesses that will charge you a pretty penny to recover the data. Not all is lost but you'll probably pay for it too.

What is thumbnail abuse?
Thumbnail abuse is where a person, say on a social website who is sharing a video of a particular subject. Instead of showing a thumbnail of the video they'll instead post a thumbnail of something unrelated. Say for instance, I post a video of my car making a 50 foot burn out, on the thumbnail I post a picture of an airplane. The two are unrelated. Therefore, I've tricked you into believing that the video you are about to watch is of an airplane and not my hot rod. That is thumbnail abuse.

Well i have a wrt54g linksys wireless router. And it is maybe a few months old. My question is why does the password not work. It's never been changed from default. And when i try all the possible defaults it comes up with nothing.
Defaults
Name :
Pass :
Name :
Pass : admin
Name : admin
Pass :
Name : admin
Pass : admin
Name : admin
Pass : password
The website says it's admin admin. But it still is n't working.
I know holding the reset button down for 30 seconds should set it back to factory settings but ive tried that.
Maybe i need a new framwire (dont know what it is but ive read that you might need to update it or something.)
So basically i am completely lost. Ive been trying for a while and it just won't budge. If anyone has anything helpful id appreciate it.
The ID field should be left blank and admin for the password, so that should have worked and yes, resetting the router should have worked too. Is it giving you an error message or is the page coming up blank? What browser are you using? If you are using Firefox with the "no script" add-on, make sure to allow scripts on the page or turn it off.
Wanted to add to, be sure you are resetting the router correctly. Sometimes a pen will reach the reset button. You'll know it's being reset when the lights flicker or they'll all come on for a second. After the lights flicker or blink start counting from there while holding the button in.
--
I was only agreeing with you. Next time read the rest. Did you not read? I'm also CCNA and N+ certified and have seen this problem more than once. If you would have read the rest you might have gained some useful information. Anyway, I filed an abuse report.
--
Obviously you didn't reset it correctly. It is still set to factory. If you did it correctly you wouldn't have that problem. I'm sorry you are an idiot.
Honestly I don't mind helping you out and I am still willing to help you out. I understand this has got to be getting on your last nerve BUT understand this is what I do for a living and even though you've stated you've tried this and that already, I still have to ask. I deal with idiots everyday, who couldn't located the space bar to save their lives. I'm not calling you an idiot because your question seems like you've put an effort into figuring out what the problem is. It's not my purpose here to be some big bad Internet asshole, my purpose here is to help. Obviously, if you've followed the manual and have heeded the advice it may be due to the fact the router is actually bad. So if you are willing to start out fresh, I am too. I'll be more than happy to troubleshoot your router. If something I state you've already done, then fine, say so. You are more than welcome to start a thread on my message board located on this site. It's located here: http://www.advicenators.com/talkaboutme.php?userboard_id=50630
Like I said before I want to help, so give me the opportunity to do so. Have a great day!

so how do i make a columnists thing? you know the place where people can ask you questions.
Your column is pretty much empty, except on what you have to say for yourself. You can put in there what type of questions you like to ask and pick your favorite categories too. Just look at the questions posted on the right on the main page and then answer questions you feel you can answer. After awhile folks will see you give good advice and begin to ask you questions directly. You'll be notified of that by this site and email if you choose to be notified that way.

My computer I think is about to die. I turn it on this blue screen pops up then a black one does where you can boot your computer in safe mode safe mode with networking and some other things but when you try to boot on one of them it goes back tot he blue screen help!
Usually but not always this is a hardware issue. If you have installed new hardware, remove it such as a new hard drive, DVD-ROM, RAM etc... You may also have graphics driver/hardware issue. If you have an on board one, use it, if it is the on board you are using, try using a graphics card. If you can boot to at least command prompt, try running check disk to check the drive for errors. You can sometimes get a blue screen after a power failure. Taking out the BIOS battery for about a minute and then putting it back can sometimes help.
The check disk command is chkdsk /p /r

Um, I am horrible with computers...so bare with me.
It's a desktop. On the screen corner, it says HP vs19e. On the box with the power button and CD slot and stuff says Microsoft Windows XP MEdia CEnter Edition & on the bottom it says HP Pavilion a1630n
That's about all the information I can get you on the computer...it's running on Windows XP...
Um, well, the computer used to be really fast and good with working well. For the past several days (maybe like 2 weeks?) it's been going really slow & it kept on "freezing" for like 2 min then going back to its slow state but never fast again. Well, my mom restarted the computer today and it has like one user setting so it goes straight to the screen with the screen saver thing on there...not the screen with buttons to choose which user you are. Well, anyways as soon as it gets restarted, it freezes. Usually, AIM would come on then something with MioNet then the MSN application then WeatherBug Desktop thing. Well, AIM comes up then it freezes. We can't move the mouse, the keys aren't working (I can't press esc or del+ctrl_alt or the start menu button or anything!) The mouse won't move at all and it's not responding to anything. We've tried to restart it, unplugged and replugged the mouse thing to the box and stuff but it's not working =/ What can I do to get it work or what's wrong with it?
15/f
p.s. Sorry if I gave you a bunch of random, useless information but I don't know computers and I don't know if you need this or not so better give you everything I know then not enough...also, sorry about the confusing descriptions...I don't know the correct terms =X
There could be a number of things wrong and a few different fixes. You could easily call Best Buy's Geek squad and get charged out the you know what.
You may just need a simple RAM upgrade. Your processor could be taxed too. Try uninstalling or disabling Weatherbug. I've seen problems with this in the past, being a system resource hog.
You could also try an anti-spyware program such as Spybot Search and Destroy. I'd also recommend a virus scan, defragmentation and checking the hard drive for bad sectors.
Be careful on what software programs you install. Some programs may look good but contain viruses themselves. Here's a few programs tried and trued that do not contain viruses or ad-ware. These programs are free too.
Spybot Search and Destroy
Ad-Aware
Comodo Firewall Pro
AVG Free Edition Virus Scanner
Last but not least. If you've tried all you can, start backing your important files up. Actually, you should back your files up periodically anyway. You can back up to CD-Roms, DVDs or use an other hard drive. Then do a "clean" install of Windows.

my computer is like bigger then normal. like the icons are bigger then wat they should be.
like look...
http://i25.tinypic.com/2ywg8wg.jpg
idk if you can tell, but everything is like over larged. and like this happened a week or so ago, and then it went normal again, and about a half hour ago it went back to big.
the first time it went huge, it took monthes to jus like re appear normal again, and i even deleted like 2 or 3 thousand pictures i had, and even limwire with 1000+ songs, and its still fucked.
what do i do to make this PERMANITLY NORMAL.
Have you checked the screen resolution? Try setting it to a higher resolution.
Well if you'd supply more information or at least make an effort to spell correctly then maybe I could have answered your question correctly. Your rating is unfair.
Even the first sentence, (sic) "my computer is like bigger then normal." Doesn't make any sense. What happened? Did you drop you PC in water and it swelled up?
I try to be nice to idiots such as yourself but obviously the problem is not important enough for you to provide accurate information.
I don't think downloading songs ILLEGALLY has anything to do with your computer becoming "bigger than normal." It's either, A, screen resolution or B, a corrupt graphics driver.

I just bought a new laptop a few months ago. Only recenetly whenever i turn it on it signs in to my account and a window pops up saying:
"error in C:\Windows\system32\spool\DRIVERS\W32X86\3\LXCFtime.ddl
Missing entry:RunDDLEntry"
Anyone knows what this means or what I can do?
Thanks
I am pretty sure that's a Lexmark printer driver. If you have a Lexmark printer installed, try reinstalling it.

OKay we did this thing to our computer and lost everything a recovery or something and we click backup but it still we lost everything and my mom is freaking out cause her taxes were saved on it and i was looking through everything saving and deleting things and i came across a thing that said recovery and it said there was space and taken space i was wondering it that was all are old stuff and if we opened it and it was all our old stuff would we lose what we have already saved on or if we had to get a flash drive to put the new stuff on and saved with the old stuff. I just dont wanna lose all my pictures and things if its the back up.
Sorry if its confusing.
PLease Help.
Thankssss!!!!!!!!
Yes, this is confusing to say the least. I'm not sure if I get what you've done, let alone the operating system (OS) you are running. Sounds like you've may have used "restore point" found in Windows XP. Restore points don't fix everything. If you are able to access your data back it up IMMEDIATELY using, preferable another hard drive and if you don't have another drive such as a backup hard drive, USB drive or external hard drive, use a CD/DVD writer.
If you are unable to access the drive there's hope still. You can install another hard drive, (may require buying another hard drive) install the OS on the new drive, then the one that has the problem, set it to slave and then try accessing the slave drive when the OS loads up.
There's also a few free software recovery tools out there but from past experiences they are pretty much worthless and the paid ones that are decent quite expensive. There's other ways to get that data but may require some cash and expert help.

What should i do if i responded to the 419 Scam email with an existing and real information? i did it before i knew what it was, because it simply said about winning money from pepsi.uk and then i found out it's Nigerian frauds. I have heard that many people lost their money and some got even killed. What should i do now? I'm very scared now.
They wont kill you unless you go over there. Just ignore it. They have no clue to where you are and wont come knocking on your door. I used to get those all the time. I even called the Secret Service to report them, yeah I did. You know what they told me? The same thing I am telling you! To ignore them. Now, go relax and resume your regular Internet browsing.

Hello. Okay so I have been a previous customer to iTunes, but i don't remember the account or anything because it got deleted from my computer after it had crashed so i tried to get it back because i knew i was going to get a Laptop for school, but anyways so I don't even remember if i got it on and then deleted it or it had never worked but i always get this message after trying to download iTunes:
Error in writting file: C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunes.Resources.en.lproj\Apple TV Help.chm. Verify that you have access to that directory.
I have no idea what this means. I have contacted Apple and there was no help whatsoever. I have been waiting a long time for an email back and I don't get support over the phone. So what do I do? Does anybody know. my next step is calling Dell. My computer is a Dell 1521 Inspiron.
I just want my own iTunes. I barely have any songs on my ipod. And besides they arent even mine. It has been so long since I've actually used iTunes. So if anybody knows how to help that would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks for your time!!!
I actually had this problem the other day. I just recently re-installed Windows XP. I got the same error even though I was logged in under Admin. Go figure, only happened with iTunes and Quicktime. LOL Here's a short and quick way to check to see if this is your problem. Go to "My Computer" Click on your C drive. If it ask you if you are sure you want to view the contents, select yes. Then go to Program Files and do the same for that. If that's not an option or it doesn't work then it's an account setting limitation. You may be logged in as Guest or have a limited account.

okay quickly tell me how to do the following.
it has wifi so it picks up connections.
it also has firewall.
- put on mozilla
(i downloaded it but it wouldn't connect to the internet, only ie did)
- put on limewire
(that wouldnt download properly so it kept aborting)
- get on msn
(the internet wont go to that either)
- and lower and raise the volume
thanks :}
Sounds like a firewall setting. It doesn't recognize the other programs as "safe" but Internet Exploder err...I mean Explorer is marked as safe.
To set the volume, look at the task bar (where the clock is) do you see a little speaker icon? If you do, adjust the volume there. Otherwise, go to "Start", "Control Panel", "Sounds and Audio Devices" It's the speaker icon. Under the "Volume" tab you can place the icon on the task bar or adjust the volume there.

my computer is doing like a slow motin thing when i scroll and move windows around the computer its like slow motion. and when i scroll down pages its in like slow motion..help?!!!
There's a few things you can do. All these tips apply to Windows XP.
1. Defrag Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/Disk Defragmenter
2. Press and hold the Windows logo key while pressing the pause/break key. In the system properties box click the Advance tab. Under the performance tab click settings. This brings up the performance options menu. On the visual effects tab, adjust those settings. (It's self explanatory once you get there)
3. You can download Ad-aware and Spybot Search and Destroy, scan your hard drive(s).
4. Still slow? try downloading a registry optimizer/cleaner. Here's a free good one: http://www.download.com/TweakNow-RegCleaner-Standard/3000-2094_4-10262639.html?tag=lst-2

I had to reboot my computer and all kinds of things because our harddrive kept messing up. Now everything is fine, but the sound doesn't work? Our speakers are fine, the computer is just not outputting sound? Help!
Also...When i scroll down on a webpage or anything it like goes slow and breaks up and scrolls down. Like it scrolls down and then a line comes over the whole screen and goes down like refreshes it-if you get what i mean please tell me how i can change it to a regular scroll :)
The first problem sounds like a corrupt sound card driver. What OS are you using? Do you know the model of the sound card or is it on board?

okay well about the ipod and the water well the water was mixed with a cleaner and i blew the water out of the ipod but i still think that it is damp, more than likely it did short circut but since it was cleaner do you think it was any chance that distilled water will still help? (spic and span was the cleaner if you know it)
It's possible. I mean it's pretty much useless now to you so, it's worth a shot in my opinion. Just remember to take out the batteries and leave it in a warm place to dry. It may take a week or two and you'll probably need to turn it every now and then to coax the water out. It'll help too if you can remove the case or at least open it up to allow the water to evaporate easier.

okay well i was at my job (i clean) and i had stuck my ipod in my shirt real quick. well i forgot it was there and when i bent down to dip my rag in a bucket of water it went tumbling out of my shirt and into the bucket. It worked fine for about 5 minutes and then the backlight went out. I wiped off all the water and set it face foreard to let the water drain. When i went back to loof at it it told me the firewire couldn't be found and to hookit up to my usb cord. well i was at work so i couldn't by the time i got home it was black and it won't charge or anything. i was wondering if when it dries out will it work again or am i probably going to have to get a new one.
Usually when an acidic liquid, such as cola is spilled on electronics, it will stop working even after drying out. What needs to happen is to remove the residue. You can do this by using distilled water. If you can, open the case. If not submerge (take the batteries out first) the unit in distilled water, shake off the excess and put it in a warm place to dry. It may take a few weeks to completely dry but it just might work. Hopefully the thing wasn't on and able to short circuit.
Distilled water does not conduct electricity. It's the trace minerals in the water, such as lead, copper and so on that allow it to be a good conductor. Thus, by rinsing the unit off in distilled water, you are washing away the mineral deposits contained in the tap water. At least this works in theory.

i have a Brother MFC-240C printer and it keeps saying i need to refill the ink cartridge and all of them are full because i replaced them. Any advice on how to print again?
I'm not familiar with that model but did you try restarting your computer and printer? That should fix it. If not make sure the ink cartridges are set in there correctly, then try another restart on the printer and computer. If all else fails try updating or re-install your printer drivers.

we have a wireless router from netgear that provides my wireless to my laptop. randomly (or at least i think randomly- i haven't time how long it takes for this to happen), my internet connection cuts off, and i have to go reset the router for it to work properly again. i assume this is caused by the router going idle or something. but this will happen even when i'm on the internet. i'm pretty good with settings and all that, but i can't find any options as for the router itself. help please?!
Can you ping the router? In XP go to RUN, type CMD, then ipconfig. You Router's ip address is the "default gateway" try a ping command on that. Not sure what the default login is on the netgear router but you can google it. Type in the router IP addie into your browser the username admin and password should be admin too. You can look in there for anything but I doubt it's timing out. It's probably interference of some sort or you are too far away. Try relocating the router away from anything electrical.
