what age/grade will your friends start to act more mature, and start being more than just someone to laugh with. you know, when will it be easier to find that one true friend, cause i'm pretty young, and i dont think anyone is that mature enough that they are the kind of friend that will give you a shoulder to lean on when your sad, or you can call anytime just 2 talk, you know that kind of stuff. does anyone know what age> (link)

well usually i would think when you go into the high school so around 13-15. thats when you start to feel mature and don't let things bother you.

i asked Frank to the prom, but he said he didn't know because he said he can't dance. i asked him again and he back with the reply "dances aren't for me". what should i do?! i really want him to go because the 2 of us will have a fun time. (link)

dancing isn't all about prom! its about having fun, try getting him to go once more and if he says no i'm sorry but i guess he just isn't the guy, if you have any other guy friends who are available to go, ask them, itll be fun and hopefully frank can go xox

My best friend dated my ex. It was a tough thing for me to see.They are totally over and you would think everything is fine. Wrong. I still like him. At least I think I still like him. yeah, you can def go to prom as just friends, i was going out with my bf at the time (he was a junior i was a freshman) and his friend asked him to go to prom with her and i was fine with it, no big deal to me or both of them, they went as friends and had a good time, i think you will too. ask him before its too late! sooner the better right?

well first of all see if he wants to hang out, like on the weekend ask him if he wants to go to the movies or something, then if it feels really weird doing that, then i dont think you should go out with him, but if you guys have a really good time hanging out then def take your friendship to a relationship. if anything, itll make your friendship stronger. xox Renee

okay, i have a friend, and i'm really close to her, we've been friends for a really long time and i just love her to death! almost like a sister! but anyways, just recently she told me about her boyfriend...he doesn't want her to talk to any guys, and he says if he ever catches her, he will kill her and him...and he's not just bluffing, he is really serious about the killing. also, they recently had sex for the first time, and the day after he wouldn't talk to her, but then he said "i'm sorry, come over to my house after work" those were his exact words! he wanted her over there so they could have sex. he won't wear a condom unless she threatens him that they're not going to have sex unless he does. also, he gives her hickies and she asks him to put them in places that can't be easily seen so she can't get in trouble, but when she asks him to he gets mad and bites her on the next, hard, leaving big places, in visible spots. i'm sorry this was long, but please help.

sorry but thats no boyfriend at all. your friend needs to realize that the relationship between her and him cannot work out, i know that they might really like eachother and may say that they love eachother, but being in a relationship doesn't consist of sex then the day after not talking then having more sex, biting, fighting all that crazy stuff. guys are sopossed to be really sweet and nice, but he doesnt' really seem like a good guy at that. sorry. talk to your friend about the guy.

yea its always hard to see your friends that youve known for a really long time doing that stuff.. but i think its just a fad for people to do, you do it, and then you realize how immature that stuff really was, the best thing i think for you to do is just to talk to him about it, and he needs to know that maybe if he still keeps doing it, your going to loose your friendship together. and if he hears that he might stop because friendship means more than anything. i think that should get him under control and see whats best for him. xox

your friend angel could just be jelous that you have a best friend, and maybe you wont hang out with her as much or talk to her as much as you do with your friend wyatt. you could talk to both of them about the other say good things about them, maybe some things that they got in common, your friend angel will realize to be friends with you, she has to at least be nice to wyatt and not lie to him. xox

yea, speak up and say what your opinions are, and if not dont follow her and do what she wants to do, make your last year worth while and do things YOU want to do. i dont think she will get mad, and if she does, shes a lame friend, because you have to suck it up and do what she wants to do sometimes, ya know? be honest and say how you feel.

well ive been with my bf for over a year and we were together for about 4 months on valentines day so it was kinda weird, but all i got him was a card i made. he loved it and still has it, cards that you make i think is cute because you put your time and effort into something that he would love =) you could go out and buy one, and if your bf has a favorite candy or something, buy that too and give it to him, its something nice and sweet and cheap too. xox

I have this boyfriend and we have been together for a while now. And all my friends know how much me means to me. Well despite that he does weed and drinks aften. But he knows that I dont do that type of thing and so you know he dont ask and wont do it around me. Well the other day my friend was reading his lj and it was saying how he got messed up by doing that and drinking everclear. Well she was freaking out thinking that I did that stuff too. I told her I didnt and I wont. But she told me she dont believe that. And she was telling me how even though you maynot its a big deal that it really is and that he could presher me into doing it. i dont see why she doens't believe you, shes your friend! she should believe anything you say, especially when its about yourself, she should come to realize that you wouldn't do that type of stuff, she should know you well enough! wait until she comes around, or tell her to ask your boyfriend if you do anything like that, or any one else. then she should believe you when other people agree with you. xox

when you do get your period tell your mom that youve gotten your period and that she'll have to buy you tampons/pads, and thongs, its all pretty much up to what your mom thinks, because some people that i know they wont let their kids wear them because they think their 'sluttyish' and others they dont really care as long as they dont show 'em off which is once again pretty slutty. xox

okay this is really weird.. im 13/f and i juss found out one of my best guy friends is gay! he doesnt know me and my friend know.. but now me and my friend cant look at him the same.. were not aggaint gay people but i mean when we see him talking to another guy its kinda freaky cuz what if he is flirting with him.. i dont know he has had a girl friend and me and my friend thought he was gay because he hung out with all girls but we didnt want to believe it.. and we want to be friends with him still but this is all happening so fast and we dont know what to do!! can you please help us and help us find a way to not think of him as gay and think of his as we used to.. we will rate 5's

well he's your friend, you shouldn't see him differently beacuse he's gay. theres pretty much nothing for you to do to change the way that he is.. even if hes talking to a guy and you think its flirting or if he was, it shouldn't be a big deal to both of you, beacause thats the way he is, xox Renee
