a friend in need

Question Posted Friday February 11 2005, 11:17 pm

okay, i have a friend, and i'm really close to her, we've been friends for a really long time and i just love her to death! almost like a sister! but anyways, just recently she told me about her boyfriend...he doesn't want her to talk to any guys, and he says if he ever catches her, he will kill her and him...and he's not just bluffing, he is really serious about the killing. also, they recently had sex for the first time, and the day after he wouldn't talk to her, but then he said "i'm sorry, come over to my house after work" those were his exact words! he wanted her over there so they could have sex. he won't wear a condom unless she threatens him that they're not going to have sex unless he does. also, he gives her hickies and she asks him to put them in places that can't be easily seen so she can't get in trouble, but when she asks him to he gets mad and bites her on the next, hard, leaving big places, in visible spots. i'm sorry this was long, but please help.
-concerned friend

You should talk to her about it. She really needs to get away from him. Sit her down and tell her how you feel, tell her that she needs to Dump him because htats not right!!! And if she wont listen to you, then you have to tell someone.

You need to go to the police - this sounds like an abusive, controlling guy. It would be best if you bring her with you, and she needs to get away from this guy as quick as possible. He will just get worse. I hope I helped and I hope you get rid of this guy!

you are a good friend for wanting to help her...she needs to tell someone whats going on because a girl should never be treated like that. if she doesn't to tell anyone, then i think you should. if she gets mad at you for telling someone, then talk to her about it and tell her how important it is that she needs to get away from him. he is treating her horribly and that is terrible!

You are a really good friend for trying to help. She needs to tell an adult or someone what is going on. He is NOT a good boyfriend at all, and she shouldn't be with him. Nobody deserves that..but if he's threatening her too..then she really needs to tell someone. Try and make her realize that, just go somewhere just the 2 of you and talk. Hopefully she'll understand. Hope i helped **x0x0

sorry but thats no boyfriend at all. your friend needs to realize that the relationship between her and him cannot work out, i know that they might really like eachother and may say that they love eachother, but being in a relationship doesn't consist of sex then the day after not talking then having more sex, biting, fighting all that crazy stuff. guys are sopossed to be really sweet and nice, but he doesnt' really seem like a good guy at that. sorry. talk to your friend about the guy.

Your friend needs to tell a trusted adult what's going on. He has no right to do this to her. And you can support her and back her decision to tell someone. This is horrible, and I doubt it's going to get any better as time passes. She needs to get help now, before this gets even worse! Good luck!
