Q: My face gets really dry ad flakey. What is a really good moisterizer that will keep my face moisterized all day?
Olay works really well for me. also, I would recommend that you apply the vaseline intensive care lotion before you sleep because it allows the lotion to settle while you're getting your beauty sleep.

Q: i have really dry hair and it wasnt like this before.i want to know what i can do to make it smooth as before or at least less dry.like what are good products or even any like home remedies.
Even this may be pricey,I would recommend changing your shampoo and conditioner and using salon products such as Paul Mitchell, Biolage or the Regis Olive oil shampoo and conditioner(the olive oil conditioner works like a charm). I would recommend using a leave in conditioner after washing your hair. what I'm using now is the biolage hydra seal leave in creme and it works really well.

I would recommend that you make a avocado hair mask. I tried it before and it worked for my hair.

[From Cosmopolitan] To whip up an avocado hair mask, mash one very ripe avocado, 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil, a banana and an egg (the last two are also very moisturizing) together in a blender. Blend until the mask has the texture of a cake batter, with no chunks. Apply one quarter of the mask to dry locks for 10 minutes, then shampoo and condition as usual.

Here is a simple recipe that works just as well:
In a small bowl, mash and combine: 1 avocado (1/2 for shorter hair)
1 egg yolk
1/2 teaspoon olive oil

Apply to hair and allow to remain 30 minutes or longer, then shampoo and condition as usual.

Here is another natural remedy but I'm not sure if this one works as well as the avocado mask:

A nourishing conditioner for dry or damaged hair which can be used for all hair types: Separate the white of an egg from the yolk, whip it to a peak. Add 1 Tbls. water to the yolk and blend until the mixture is creamy. Then mix the white and yolk together. Wet your hair with warm water, remove the excess moisture, and apply the mixture to your scalp with your fingertips. Massage gently until the froth is worked into your scalp, then rinse the hair with cool water. Keep applying the mixture until it is used up and then rinsed until all of the egg is washed away.

I hope that I helped!

Q: I've had this ONE pimple on my face since last week. It's not even really like a gross pimple or anything, it's basically like a red bump. Is there any way I could reduce the redness? Actually, is there any way I could get rid of it completely?

I've been washing my face obsessively, and putting this gel on it to get to get rid of it, and it's still not gone.

....is there anything else I could do?
please and thank you (:
First, washing your face nonstop actually worsens your skin because you're washing out all of the natural oil to keep your skin moisturized and it causes your skin to produce more oil. There are many things that you can do to get rid of your pimple.

1. (This is what I do.) put a tiny bit of neosporin on the area but don't put too much because there can be serious side effects.

Here are some natural remedies that might help:

Dab a small amount of toothpaste (paste, not gel) on pimples before bed; this helps dry out the pimples.

Mix equal amounts of lemon juice and rose water, apply to face with a cotton ball, and allow to sit for 30 minutes before rinsing. 15-20 days of this application helps cure pimples and also helps to remove blemishes and scars.

Apply fresh lemon juice on the affected area overnight. Wash off with warm water next morning.

For acne that hasn't seemed to respond to anything, steep 2-3 tsp. dried basil leaves in 1 cup boiling water for 10-20 minutes, cool, and apply to affected area with a cotton ball

Q: are there any creams or anything of that nature that will help of riding of scars from acne. theres not many scars.
i went to a dermatologist for the same problem and he recommended a skin bleaching cream such as dr. varon's skin bleaching system. you can buy it from any drug store and it is inexpensive

Q: how to get rid of pimples? i use clearasil:Daily face wash but it doesnt work and i have an oily face please help!
Try the Biore Blemish Fighting Ice Cleanser. It works really well for oily skin.

Q: I'm addicted to soda. I'm average weight, and other then soda, I'm very healthy. My doctor says the soda is addding extra fat on my tummy and thighs, so I should stop drinking it so much. I drink about 2 cans a day, sometimes more. Its alot I know, I've tried stopping so many times. Cold turkey hasn't work, neither has slowly reducing how much I drink. Any other ideas?
I had the same situation and I was so addicted to soda that I would have a couple of cans per day. I really wanted to lose weight so I switched to diet sodas. Diet sodas may taste a little strange at first but eventually you won't really notice the difference between regular and diet. Also, make sure that you drink diet sodas when it is chilled or else, it just doesn't taste right. Then, you should change the amount of diet soda that you have per day and switch it to one can a day and then to one can a week. Instead of drinking soda, drink a lot of water. Ever since I switched to diet sodas, I lost 10 pounds. Another thing that would help is if you tell your parents to stop buying soda and you would have no choice but to drink something else.

If you think of all of the negative effects of drinking soda it might help you.

1)regular and diet sodas cause cavities. One time, I went to the dentist and I had so much cavities from drinking soda that the dentist had to give a bunch of filings. That was a horrible experience.

2) You are probably a caffeine addict. If you feel sluggish, act irritable or get a headache on days when you don't have soda then you are addicted to caffeine. Remember that one can of soda has 40 miligrams and make sure that you change the amount of soda that you have per day.

3) Take a look at the nutrition label at the back of the can of regular soda. One can of soda has about 210 calories. When you exercise to burn off those calories from that one can of soda, it would take about 45 minutes to an hour depending on the type of cardio. From that one workout, you would probably feel exhausted.

Q: Im 15/f and i just had a really bad breakout on my face and i have my birthday party tomorrow and i need to get rid of this asap! Please give me tips! i have a little bit of acne treatment and ive been using that but i was wondering if theres something better or a homemade something?!?thanks!
try the Neutrogena rapid clear acne eliminating gel and it makes acne less noticeable within 8 hours. Since you birthday party is tomorrow, I suggest that you should cover your acne with some makeup.

If you are not able to buy the neutrogena gel, here are some home remedies that you can try on this site. So far the only home remedy that I tried was the one with the toothpaste. The tooth paste remedy helps a little bit:

Q: I have some scarring on my cheeks from acne ahile back. It's just on one side of my face. A dermatologist isn't an option, but I need a cream or something to get rid of the scarring. Can someone reccomend a cream/whatever that would be at like every grocery store, or CVS, so I can just go out and buy it tomorrow.
Try the Neurogena acne mark fading peel or the neutrogena dermabrasion kit. I read in a magazine that if you continue to use the dermabrasion kit, the scarring might not be as noticeable as before.

Q: So the whole day today, I kept getting bit by mosquitoes!!..they itch like CRAZY. But the crazy thing is...each bump is like QUARTER SIZE. I'm not even kidding/exagerrating. It's SO big..I have like a total of maybe 6 all over my upper body. Is this normal?! ..I've never had bites this big ever!..Please help. :)
I always get mosquito bites especially in the summer. Itz totally normal when it swells up and when it gets all huge. I suggest that you should apply some hydrocortisone cream to the affected areas. You can buy the hydrocortisone cream at any store that sells medication. I know that itz going to be hard but try not to scratch too much because it could get infected and it will swell up even more. I guarantee that it will stop itching in a few days. I hoped that I helped!

Q: Hi =)
What are good ways (natural, not products) for my hair to be smooth and healthy? Please suggests things/food that actually works..
I have long thick brown hair that is kind of curly/wavy and it tends to frizz some. My scalp can get greasy but the hair gets a little dry.. I just want some remedies for it to be more nourished and silky. Thanks a lot in advance
Try a avacado hair mask. It is a good moisturizer for dry hair.

In a small bowl, mash and combine:
1 avocado (1/2 for shorter hair)
1 egg yolk
1/2 teaspoon olive oil

Apply to hair and allow to remain 30 minutes or longer, then shampoo and condition as usual.

Or you can try this even though I've never tried it:
Separate the white of an egg from the yolk, whip it to a peak. Add 1 Tbls. water to the yolk and blend until the mixture is creamy.

Q: I have been struggeling with mild acne for about two years. I have tried many different face creams, including pro active. And none of them work! About three days ago i went to a dirmotalogist and they put me on medician and they gave me face treatments. Does anyone know if the stuff you get will really work? And how long will it even take? Or is it even worth going through all the facial treatments and medican? Any Advice!
All the facial treatments and medicine is definitely worth going through. A year ago, I had really bad acne and I went to the dermatologist. At first, the medication made my acne worse and there were some side effects such as dryness. Overtime, my acne got better and there are less breakouts than before. I'm not sure if you have to use a retin A cream such as avita cream, but if you are using it then you won't notice the results until 6 weeks or longer. I hope that things will go well for you.

Q: okay, i feel really stupid asking this, but i thought i knew what dipping is, but now from how my almost boyfriends talks about how he tried it, i'm confused. what is it exactly?
Dipping is when you chew tobacco.

Q: My hair is really dry REALLY dry. I don't have alot of money to afford on all those expesnive hair treatments. Any natural ways to help get it back to the way it used to be?
Try a avacado hair mask. It is a good moisturizer for dry hair.

In a small bowl, mash and combine:
1 avocado (1/2 for shorter hair)
1 egg yolk
1/2 teaspoon olive oil

Apply to hair and allow to remain 30 minutes or longer, then shampoo and condition as usual.

Q: I have some spots and abit of a rash on my shoulders and back... does anyone know maybe why i have them? i was thinking maybe im allergic to my shower gel or something. does anyone know what i can use to get rid of them?
It could be eczema or an allergic reaction. I think that you should apply some hydrocortisone cream to the affected area and it will get better. You can buy the hydrocortisone cream from any store and itz not expensive. If you used your shower gel for while and there were no problems before then you're probably not allergic to your shower gel. If you just started using the shower gel, that could of been the cause. There is a possiblity that your skin could also be reacting to the weather or your skin could be dry.

If itz eczema, it is probably caused by:
-Exposure to allergens, such as pollen, dust mites, animal dander, or molds.
-Exposure to irritants, such as using soaps, rubbing the skin, and wearing wool.
-Exposure to workplace irritants, such as fumes and chemicals.
-Climate factors, especially winter weather and low humidity. Cold air does not contain much moisture, which can result in drier skin and increased itchiness.
-Temperature changes. Sudden changes in temperature can result in increased itchiness. A suddenly higher temperature may bring on sweating, which can cause itching. Lying under blankets, entering a warm room, or going from a warm shower into colder air can all promote itching.
-Emotional stress. Emotions such as frustration or embarrassment may lead to increased itchiness and scratching.
-Exposure to certain foods, typically eggs, peanuts, milk, soy, or wheat products. Up to 40% of children with moderate to severe atopic dermatitis also have some type of food allergy.2 However, experts do not agree on whether foods can cause atopic dermatitis.
-Excessive washing. Repeated washing dries out the top layer of skin, leading to drier skin and increased itchiness, especially in the winter months when humidity is low.

Hope that I helped!

Q: How to stop nose bleeding as of my 6 years old son often have it. He got it not regulary but he often had it when he is tired. Thanks

InThePink

Yeah, i have the same problem especially in the summer. And no offense to the person below me that said to tilt your head back, don't listen to what they said. When you get a bloody nose, you're supposed to lean forward and you should let all the blood out. If you tilt your head back, you'll choke on your blood and all the blood goes down your throat.

here is what you should do when your son gets a bloody nose:
1)Firmly pinch the entire soft part of the nose just above the nostrils for about 5 minutes. If the bleeding stops and then returns, hold your nose for 8 to 10 minutes. This will allow time for the blood to clot.

2)Sit and lean forward (this will ensure that blood and other secretions do not go down your throat).

3)Breathe through your mouth. also, applying an ice pack may help.

After the bleeding stops, stick a cotton swab up his nose to check the amount of blood. Then, put some vaseline up his nose. Hope that I helped!

Q: I was wondering what everyone's opinions were on contact solution...like which one is the best. I know Renu is bad because there's a pattern of eye infections among those who use it. I am currently using complete moisture plus...but someone told me that long periods of use could cause redness in the eye..They recommended opti-free--So I was wondering if it was good or not? If anyone else has other suggestions...Let me know! :) Thanks!
Opti-free works really well for me and I have been using it for a while now. So far I haven't had any problems with it. Hope that I helped!

Q: okay i have to get a filling tomorrow morning and i am so freaked out. i HATE needles more then anything in the world. can you tell me from your personal experience how bad the shot hurt for you??
argh, I seriously hate those shots but it mostly feels like a huge pinch on the cheek except itz a more painful than that. Also, you will might feel a lot of pressure and you may be tense. it mostly depends on how your dentist applies it. My advice to you is try to relax even though itz going to be really hard. The shot was one of those things that you get over with.

Q: I have really bad acne sometimes. I can't even get rid of it most of the time. Does any one have a cheap really good successful cure (or almost cure) for complex acne?
I think that you should go to a dermatologist for a perscription. the medication that they give you really keeps your acne under control. If you can't go to a dermatologist then buy the acne free if you can't buy Proactiv.

Here are some home remedies for acne:

1.Dab a small amount of toothpaste (paste, not gel) on pimples before bed; this helps dry out the pimples.
2.Mix equal amounts of lemon juice and rose water, apply to face with a cotton ball, and allow to sit for 30 minutes before rinsing. 15-20 days of this application helps cure pimples and also helps to remove blemishes and scars.
3.Apply fresh lemon juice on the affected area overnight. Wash off with warm water next morning.
4. For acne that hasn't seemed to respond to anything, steep 2-3 tsp. dried basil leaves in 1 cup boiling water for 10-20 minutes, cool, and apply to affected area with a cotton ball

Q: Okay i have got stetch marks all over my upper thighs, hips and bottom. i have been using palmers coco butter everyday since january and still have seen no change/improvement

so does it really work?

or is there anything else i could use to help fade them a little?

i know you cant get rid of them completely
Since cocoa butter isn't really working for you, try mederma( a cream that you can get at a drug store) or get some kind of a perscription like Retin A. Hope that I helped!
