Now that i honestly think about it i think i should of got that filling a long time ago because i don`t think that hurt nearly as bad as if i were getting a shot in the arm..It stops hurting instantly because of it being numb..
Peachgirly answered Wednesday March 22 2006, 1:42 am: argh, I seriously hate those shots but it mostly feels like a huge pinch on the cheek except itz a more painful than that. Also, you will might feel a lot of pressure and you may be tense. it mostly depends on how your dentist applies it. My advice to you is try to relax even though itz going to be really hard. The shot was one of those things that you get over with. [ Peachgirly's advice column | Ask Peachgirly A Question ]

good luck! [ ShYbl0nD3's advice column | Ask ShYbl0nD3 A Question ]

I always thought they did. But they don't. I happened to be petrified of needles myself. I don't know why exactly. The thought of it has always been much worse than the actual shot!
Anyway, My dentist told me it is mostly done because its what people expect. He filled mine,
even put caps on with no shot. Didn't hurt either. You might ask your dentist.
