Yeah, i have the same problem especially in the summer. And no offense to the person below me that said to tilt your head back, don't listen to what they said. When you get a bloody nose, you're supposed to lean forward and you should let all the blood out. If you tilt your head back, you'll choke on your blood and all the blood goes down your throat.
here is what you should do when your son gets a bloody nose:
1)Firmly pinch the entire soft part of the nose just above the nostrils for about 5 minutes. If the bleeding stops and then returns, hold your nose for 8 to 10 minutes. This will allow time for the blood to clot.
2)Sit and lean forward (this will ensure that blood and other secretions do not go down your throat).
3)Breathe through your mouth. also, applying an ice pack may help.
After the bleeding stops, stick a cotton swab up his nose to check the amount of blood. Then, put some vaseline up his nose. Hope that I helped! ]
Just pinch your nose and put your head up. It works for me.
