It's a bittersweet cream. My grocery store never carries it, here is a substitute:

1 c. milk
plus
1 tbsp. lemon juice

Let stand 5 minutes. Beat well.

hi i have a huge problem i feel like everytime i make chicken sadnwhiches it gets soooooo soggey..is this because i am using too much dressing or is it my chicken!?PLEASE HELP ITS MY FAVORITE MEAL!!!

Don't make the sandwich until you are ready to eat. If you bring it in a bagged lunch, keep everything in separate bags, and make your sandwich fresh at lunch time. Using good bread instead of floppy white bread will also make a big difference.

I have to make some kind of food for this international festival at school, our country is mexico. I have to bring something that will feed a lot of people and all the basics are already taken. Chips and salsa and cheese dip and quesadillas and rice and tacos are already taken. I need something thats big and easy. Any ideas would be very helpful, thanks!

Does it have to be food? When I was a girl scout we did Mexico for an international festival, and we sold Mexican paper flowers. And we sold Trolls when we did Sweden. Man, that was a LONG time ago. Otherwise I agree with Chicka*-*, everyone loves churros.

Bisquick on a stick! Mix Bisquick and make a dough, then mold over a clean stick. Cook until golden brown. It makes a tastey roll!

Okay i have big boy problem please help...

So i go to winterball we will cal them tennis friends and so theres like 5 of us and i knew all the guys coming except two of them. One of them was my friends date. We will call him bob. Bob is nice and everything btu he blows off my friend for this gurl we wil call a soccer player named Rachel and he makesout with her. the thing is my friend didnt like him very much. the whole resta the night he was hanging and flirting with me a lot sometimes i told him to stop because i didnt want my friend getting mad. Well does he like me or what?? He comes up after his games and is like o hey qt and we cuddle and shit all this stuff. but he flirts with some other gurls too but not as much. WHAT IS GOING ON?! ill rate!!

Well, this is probably one of the most random questions I personally have ever asked. I love Panera's French Baguette (sp?) it's basically a long loaf of french bread. It is by far the best bread ever. But, getting to my question, I buy the bread when it is nice and fresh so it's warm and soft. After about 2-3 days, the bread gets hard. Is there any way to prevent the bread from getting hard? I had to put it in the microwave just to make it soft enough to bite into! I can't bite into hard things because I have braces and they might break off. But can anyone tell me as to how I can keep the bread from getting hard and virtually unedible? Thanks!

Good fresh baked bread does only last a few days, especially hard breads. That's why bakerys sell "day old bread" at a cheaper price. Even if you keep it sealed in an air tight container, it will never be as good as that first day.

ok so a tv show i saw a cook have chicken with chocolate sauce onthe plate, i thought would this be weird? How do u think this would taste? Would it be ok if i cooked it for my family one night? the other part of it is that it was a pile of chicken in the middle of the plate and the chocolate sauce was around it with roasted peppers on it, was the chocolate for the peppers or the chicken?

It could be good, a mixture of salty and sweet. But I would deffenitly try to find a recipe first before trying such an endeavor. I would think you would need a dark chocolate, or even an unsweetened chocolate. Something not too sweet.

Here is a super easy one you can make in 10 min:

-------Christmas Wreaths--------

*1 Stick Butter
*1 Package Marshmellos
*6 Cups Cornflakes
*1 tsp. Vanilla
*Green Food Coloring
*Red Hots For decorating

------Melt butter and Marshmellos in pan. Then add vanilla, food coloring, and Cornflakes, and mix until well coated. With buttered hands work fast and create circles "wreaths" with mixture. Lay onto wax paper. Decorate with red hots or other candy.

So I've been preparing fish a lot lately...but haven't ever had to thaw it. Now I've got to thaw it...and I can't remember the best way to do it. Sound silly? It is. I won't use the microwave...because I just wont. I know my mom usually thaws chicken in a tub of luke-warm water...but does that work effectively with fish? So how should I thaw this thing? Thanks.

The best would to let it thaw in the fridge overnight.

Okay, I'll put it to you this way: I'm OBSESSED with mashed potatoes. I make them all the time when I come home from school. I normally eat them plain or with corn. I need to mix it up a bit. Does anyone have any thing I could put in them to make them good? Anything will be good for me. I eat anything pretty much, especially mashed potatoes. Heh. Anyway, if anyone has any ideas as to how to spice up my mashed potatoes, that'd be great! Thanks if you can help!

Try vinagar. It's delicious, a lot like german potato salad. How about ranch dressing, MMMmmmm. Little bits of bacon, green onion, or garlic. Be creative!

Is it safe to cook with pans if they're getting rust spots in them?

No, metals can get into your food and is terrible for your body, especialy your kindneys. Don't risk it. Buy a new pan, they are not that expensive.

Perhaps I'm just the stupidest person in the world, but I have this difficulty in making cookies.Normally it's that I add too much of one ingridient, or too little of another, or that I set the oven to the wrong time. My whole family is mad, because we were having a party, and Mom told me to make cookies, except they were quite horrible, and one guest threw-up. Is there anything I can do to fix this problematic situation!

What did you do confuse salt for sugar? :)

Cooking isn't that hard. You just need to pay attention to what you are doing:
-Simply follow the recipie
-Always use fresh ingredients
-Pay attention to your mesurements
-There is a differnece between baking soda and baking powder! As well as butter and magrine.
-Pre-heat the oven for 10-15 min before baking
-Always cook for less time than called for. (You can always cook something for an extra minute or two)
-Undercook cookies, the are still cooking when cooling on the pan
-Remove from pan only when cool
