Mashed potatoes!

Question Posted Monday November 15 2004, 3:58 pm

Okay, I'll put it to you this way: I'm OBSESSED with mashed potatoes. I make them all the time when I come home from school. I normally eat them plain or with corn. I need to mix it up a bit. Does anyone have any thing I could put in them to make them good? Anything will be good for me. I eat anything pretty much, especially mashed potatoes. Heh. Anyway, if anyone has any ideas as to how to spice up my mashed potatoes, that'd be great! Thanks if you can help!

Mashed potatoes are good, but the are not that healty for you. i like mine with sour cream or melted cheddar cheese and bacon bits.you should really try to limit the amount of potatoes you eat though.

Ok I know this soundds pretty weird but in camp this was the only way I used to eat them. Ok so get italian salad dressing and put some potatoes on your fork and then dip it into the mashed potatoes. I know it sounds weird but it's sooooo good. Or you can ketchup, or balsamic salad dressing, or (and this is only if you have it) my mom makes great sweat and sour meatballs, take the extra sauce from that and pour it over your potatoes IT'S SOOOO GOOD!!!!!! Hope I gave you some good ideas! Rate my plz, thanx.

Melted shredded cheese is the BEST.

Or garlic powder.

Okay.... Someone who eats my kind of foods! YAY!!!! Heh, okay what I always eat is....Don't be afraid till you try it....Cream of chicken with mashed potatoes. Yes thats mild but I always water the cream of chicken down and I normaly put beans of corn with it. (In the same dish all together) Another thing is your mashed potatoes you can put in garlic powder and just seasonings that you have around. If your too afraid of ruining you precious potato's you can buy the ones that already seasoned. They taste just as good. I know from experience. Heh, personaly I prefer watered down cream of chicken and egg noodles with beans. Honestly I love it.

What we like, the Mashed potatoes and my cream of chicken is total comfort food. So it makes sence why you like it, it comforts you.

Well I don't know if I helped much but something else that I love and maybe you will too is Strawberry shortcake ice cream bars. MMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmm that is goood. Yhey are kinda hard to find though...

Try vinagar. It's delicious, a lot like german potato salad. How about ranch dressing, MMMmmmm. Little bits of bacon, green onion, or garlic. Be creative!

To sppice up my mashed potatoes, I like to use some shredded cheddar and a bit of garlic. Mix it all together and it's like mashed potatoes au gratin! I also like mixing my mashed potatoes, not only with corn, but peas and green beans work as well. Or you can make a nice Shepherd's Pie with some ground beef, vegetables and mashed potatoes.

Hopes this helps and Enjoy!
