I'm going to be 14 years old in a month, and I just weighed myself, and discovered that I weigh a whopping 115 pounds!!!!! I'm 5'2"...is this overweight? How can I shed 10 pounds?!?!?!

I am 15/f and I have a bit of a weight problem. First thing, does 170 pounds sound like im fat to you? Anyways I asked my friends about it they say I dont look that big or anything but when I look in the mirrior I hate what I see. And when me and my friends all go shopping i get really sad. Because all my friends are like toothpicks and fit into size four at the biggest. i am always missing out on trying on cool dresses or tops because I would never fit. And whats worse is that when my friends say there is something I should try on, I have to say no because they wouldnt even come close to fitting me and my friends dont understand that I hate my weight. So to work on this problem I have tried twice to go on a diet. Throughout it I never once broke it. The first time it was for the whole summer and a month, so four months in total, but lost NOTHING! I stayed the same wait. Then the secound time I tried to lose wait I did it for three months, with no sugar or excess fats, and I watched the calories. I even exercised once everyday three days. AND I GAINED WAIT! TEN WHOLE FRICKIN POUNDS!!! I have no clue why. Does anyone have any ideas? Also does anyone have any advice on losing wait fast? I would like to drop weight by the time I go into highschool next year. So I have around five months, even a few pounds would be nice. ALL ADVICE IS APPRIECIATED!!!
It depends on your height, if you are very tall, you probably have an average weight. But, everyone carries weight differently, I myself had your problem whn I was younger, ever since 6th grade I began to have more curvier body. All the other girls were little toothpicks, but I actually was starting to have a figure. I am 5'2 and weigh 125/130 pounds, most people would probably consider that a little bit overweight. But I just have bigger boobs and a bigger butt but I have a very small waist. Maybe you are like this too...?
You weren't eating right, to not have lost any weight. Ha. Stay away from meats and processed foods. You should eat mostly all fruits and vegetables with small amounts of other food groups, to stay healthy. Exercise! Try for an hour a day, at least 5 times a week. Stay away from beverages with "zero" calories, those artificial sweetners make you hungrier. When you feel like eating, drink water. Sometimes you aren't really hungry, you just need some water.

Eat nothing but fruits and vegetables and very little protein. Drink lots of water and exercise but running/walking/jogging four miles. You will lose a pound a day.
But you want to lose a lot of weight and I usually only reccommend that diet to someone who wants to lose 20 max. So maybe eat a little more protein. You won't lose as fast, but it's healthier.

Okay, here's the deal.
The prom dress of my dreams only had a size 2 left in stock, which I bought.
..I'm a size 4.
I can fit into the dress, but it's slightly uncomfortable.
Prom is in early June and I need to slim down to a 2 by then.
What can I do?
I have no access to a gym / exercise machines.
Also, my schedule's pretty crazy at the moment; I get a LOT of hw/studying and don't get home from school until about 6pm.
I've considered walking home from the train after school (~3miles) every day. Would this be enough or should I do more?
Eat nothing but fruits, vegetables, and a very, very, small amount of protein, for as long as you desire. You will probably lose a pound a day. & walking home from the train would be very beneficial. also, drink lots of water. if you think that is too hard, then you could also just cut down all the junk food, and still try to follow that diet, but it just won't come off as fast.

Hey. I'm 15/female, and I'd say I have pretty bad skin..
Actually, I have terrible skin. It has scars from past acne and there's always new acne patches on either my forhead, temples, chin, or sometimes all three. I don't think I have the money for a dermatolagist, so I was wondering what foods I can eat/ exercises I can do to help with bad skin? Or any facewashes (besides proactiv, that's expensive) that would help? Thanks!
you can actually just go to your doctor (you don't need to go to a dermatologist.) & ask what you can do to make your face clearer. my brother uses differin. i think it cost like 10 dollars. hes also on medication for it & two other creams.. i think it all cost 20 dollars.
its quicker and easier just to go to your regular doctor.

I'm currently a size 6 in pants size, and I want to be a size 4 by the end of April. Maybe 5-10 pounds would be enough to lose 1-2 sizes? (since some stores pant sizes are in even numbers).
I plan on exercising 5 days a week to achieve this. And to cut out junk food... and bacon.

Well I'm really skinny and I only eat healthy foods (with candy occasionally) but I've been gaining the pounds recently and it's showing, only through my stomach. I mean, I wouldn't really mind if my whole body got a bit bigger but it's just pushing through my stomach and since I'm skinny, it just looks as if I'm pregnant! (Well not that much but if this keeps up, in the future it will!)
For two years now I've wanted to have a treadmill or an elliptical machine in our house but my dad refuses to buy one so when I decided that when I turn 16, I'll go get a job and hopefully get a gym membership at this popular gym place that a lot of people in my grade go to. Do you think that's a good idea?
Oh! And it's like an additional...$180(?) for a personal trainer, do you think I should get one? Because I know that you can't just target a certain area, you got to do everything and I wouldn't know, I'd just use the treadmill and the elliptical machines every time. And I can't lift weights either (I can barely lift my back pack!).

Well.. if your already skinny I don't think you need to be that drastic! You really just need to do some sit ups and pull ups, and your stomach should shrink. Are you eating foods high in sodium/salt lately? That kind of food makes you bloated.. how long have you been like that? Has this just happened recently? Have you gotten your period yet? Ask yourself these questions, it could just be something like that..
You don't really need a treadmill or elliptical machine to get fit and healthy. I have a treadmill and like a whole gym in my house, and I hardly ever use it. To me at least, tread mills get sooooo boring. Just staring at the wall or tv or something. Do you live in a neighborhood? Instead of taking your car or something to get to your friends house.. walk there, or ride your bike. that's a really easy way to be active.
I'm 16, almost 17, and I don't have a job (nor do i plan on getting one) If I did have a job though.. there would be no way I'd waste my money on gym membership or a personal trainer. Do you have a job yet? I don't know if you realize this, but minimum wage is like what 6.50? You can also only work so many hours because of school. They only let you work like weekends or 3 days a week or something.. (at least everywhere I know of, and that's how it is where I live.) So, it would take you awhile to get that much money.. I'd be buying like new purses and clothes hahah.
You can target certain areas by pull ups and sit ups. I think i mentioned that though.. also, do you like to dance? their is other ways of losing weight, you don't need fancy machines. :)

People have always told me my whole life I was thin/ skinny/ had a great body.. etc. I was dating this guy and he was a real jerk and made me really insecure about my weight. He told me I wasnt as skinny as most girls he goes for and when I lost 10 lbs from the mono he gave me, he told me how much better I looked and how I shouldnt gain my weight back. That was summer, I've gained my weight back now. I don't know if it's because of him or what but I'm really insecure about my weight now. Is 113, c cup, and 5'5 normal? I swear I have a little fat on my stomach. It's sick. Do you know of any exercises I can do that target the lower stomach?(Crunches don't help!)

yeah, im 5'5 15 years old. And i weigh like 158, which i think is like really overweight, i would really like to be at 150, or 145. And I did this diet for 5 days like, 5 days. And it was kinda like the cabbage soup diet. It was where you could only eat all the soup and fruit you want. Well, i lost about 8lbs on it and i quit on the 5th day, because i passed out from not eating like anything, because where i was at, they didnt have anything, and i almost went to the hospital from lack of food and no sleep that night (i was with my friends the night before and got 3 hours of sleep) and now that im not on the diet. I feel extremely HUNGRY. Everytime I eat I want to eat like double of what i normally used to eat before i went on this diet. And I dont want to gain all the weight back. I really need some help. I dont know what to do really.
All you lost was water weight. Don't do diets like those. I used to do those, and it never did anything. Let me ask you a question, how much do you like meat? I'm a vegitarian, and if you be a vegetiaran correctly, you can lose a lotttt of weight. Its also better for you too..

Try exercising. Do you like to dance? I love to dance. Where I live they play the radio non stop for an hour. I turn it on when they do that, and dance for an hour. Do you like to walk? Walking is really good excercise too. Try to eat healthy foods. Instead of chips, eat carrots. If you like love chips or something, and can't live without them, take a really small serving. Pretzels are a good snack that taste good, and are low in calorie. So is popcorn. (without the butter) Drink lotsss of water.

i lose a pound a day.. i feel fine. & have plenty of energy.. soo, i guess it depends on you. probably a pound or two a week is ok. and see how it affects you.
i really want to get in shape for the summer. and i work out at night but its just too much for me. i have a membership to the ymca but i dont have time to actually go there or get a ride since my parents work at nightish. having a treadmill would really help me manage my time and get in shape fast.

It's.. decent. My treadmill costs me over 1000 dollars. its amazing. it depends whats you really want from it. do you just want something to walk on? and see how many calories your burning? or do you want something, with lots of different levels, and challenges? I clicked out of that picture, but i think yours only said it comes with 4 different levels? mine comes with 12. & a whole bunch of other things. so i dont really know... what you exactly want it for. thats something you deffinitly need to consider. Pending on your age, which it sounds like your younger then 16, because you can't drive yourself anywhere.. i suggest babysitting, paper route, anything similar to that.
Honestly, if you wanna get in shape. You're gonna have to cut out all the junk food. if you really wanan lose weight. because, i'm not sure how much you've actually ever used a treadmill, but when I work out, at my speed like 4.5 or something. for an hour, i think the most i burn up is 500 calories. and i think thats a little higher then it is. sooo yeah.

itd probably be best if you just eat grapefruit, but you really really need the bacon. maybe just when you eat your salad, make some bacon in the microwave, and crumble it up?

Oh, no, i was saying if your a vegetarian, then you won't be able to do this diet. because you have to eat meat. (: your paretns probably won't know, because your just eating healthy stuff. they may wanna know what you want grapefruit juice, but just say you like the taste or something, when you had it at school or someones house.
This is what you do..
Breakfast: 1/2 grapefruit or juice (unsweetened)
2 eggs any style
2 slices of bacon
Lunch: 1/2 grapefruit or juice
salad, any dressing
meat- any style or amount
Dinner: 1/2 grapefruit or juice
meat, any style or amount
(fish may be substututed)
vegetable, any green or red (cooked in butter or seasoning is fine)
or salad as above
coffee or tea 1 cup. (optional)
snack: glass of tomato juice or skim milk
Instructions:

By accident... lol .. i lost 8 pounds in 4 days. I walked 7 miles [ i walked 4 miles with my friend the one day, because we were looking for hot guys around her neighborhood.] then 2 miles the next day, and half a mile the next day, and half a mile the next day. you don't have to do it like that though.. but yeahh.
cut out all junk food, and drink plenty of water.

60 pounds? Well, i lost 8 pounds, in the last 4 days? So, well. maybe. But, you'd have to like cut out alot of junk food, walk 4 miles, like every day, and drink alot of water. ha, i wasn't even trying to lose weight, but my friend lived in a development, where a ton of hot guys live, so we just walked all around, for like 6 hours straight.
Even though everyone says its impossible, its not. BUT. I don't think you should try to lost 60 pounds in one month. 1) that'd be torture for yourself. 2) you'll have to get surgery, because some of your skinn will just be hanging there. (:
My moms friend lost 100 pounds in like 4 months. and she had to get alot of surgery done, just to get rid of all the hanging skin. So, i don't really recomend you doing it. maybe just lose like 15 pounds a month? and just watch what you eat..

my main problem areas are my thighs and lower stomach.
