tips for clearer skin

Question Posted Monday June 29 2009, 12:11 am

Hey. I'm 15/female, and I'd say I have pretty bad skin..
Actually, I have terrible skin. It has scars from past acne and there's always new acne patches on either my forhead, temples, chin, or sometimes all three. I don't think I have the money for a dermatolagist, so I was wondering what foods I can eat/ exercises I can do to help with bad skin? Or any facewashes (besides proactiv, that's expensive) that would help? Thanks!

you can actually just go to your doctor (you don't need to go to a dermatologist.) & ask what you can do to make your face clearer. my brother uses differin. i think it cost like 10 dollars. hes also on medication for it & two other creams.. i think it all cost 20 dollars.

its quicker and easier just to go to your regular doctor.

I've had a ton of acne since I was 12. Only recently (I'm now 17) has it really began to clear up.
I would definitely, absolutely recommend Loreal Skin Genesis Deep Purifiying Foaming Cream Cleanser & Dr. Sheffield's ClearZit Acne Cream.
You can get the first one from Wal-Mart. It costs about $5.98 and is in a pink bottle. The second one can only (I think) be found at Dollar General for only $1.
Wash your face in the morning, and before bed with the face wash. Before bed, after cleaning your face, apply some face moisturizer/lotion on your face, then apply the acne cream on the areas where you have acne. You need the lotion so the acne cream doesn't dry your face up too much.
Hope this is helpful. :)

Well, excercises won't do anything for you. I'm not sure of any foods either. Most people overlook the cheap brands of acne treatment because they think, "It's cheap, so it must not work." WRONG! When I had acne problems, I used the very cheap and effective ZAP-A-ZIT. It's name is stupid, and it's cheap, but it works. In 1-3 days any problems should be cleared up. It seems to prevent for a little while, too.

Just use it before bed and you should clear up.

:)
