Q: ohkay well ive posted this a couple times but no one seems to answer it right....
im 13/f 140 pounds and i want to loose 25 pounds. im going on the 20 carbs a day diet. so i need to no what foods to eat all day. please help me i need it

ps. im going to workout also =)
Welcome to the world of low carb, I'm actually on it right now. This will be my fourth time doing it (and my last time I did it for four months)

It's not easy, and you'll be tempted a lot!

Everything Low Carb:

First, let me tell you how this works. When you normally eat.. your body burns off the carbs first, THEN the fat. So when the carbs are burned, next is fat..but your body has burned enough so it just stores the fat. You see? So when you see "Low-fat" anywhere..it doesnt really matter. Its just a way of tricking people to buy their products. So by low carbing, you limit your carbs and eat fat. That way, your body gets rid of the small carbs and starts working on the fat! Now, most people when reading or hearing about the low carb diet are scared because they say they cant live with brownies, pasta, bread, potatoes, rice, etc. But millions have done it. Sure, the first few days might be hard..maybe even weeks. But after 2 weeks the cravings will be gone. If you survive the first two weeks, you can survive the rest of your diet. What you CANT eat: Junk food, Bread, Rice, Pasta, Potatoes, Soda, Juice, fruits, nuts.. Now your thinking, well what the heck AM I gonna eat? Eggs, Meat (Chicken, turkey, ham, burger meat, etc.), Lettuce, Cream Cheese, anything low carb! Look for foods that are HIGH in protien/fat, and possibly have fiber(its a plus), and LOW in carbs. Low carb should be around 1,2,3,4 grams per serving. (meat has low carbs). Believe it or not, you do have millions of choices when eating low carb. You can look up recipes on google just by searching "low carb recipies". You have heard of the low carb ice creams, bars, and other stuff. But you CANNOT have ANY of that stuff until 2 weeks have gone by. Your 2 weeks will be the "strict phase"...where you are really pushing toward low carb and limiting yourself to 25 carbs a day. A great thing about it, is you DONT have to exercise! WOW! Awesome huh? However, it will increase your weight loss.

I HIGHLY reccomend getting the book Atkins or South Beach (I would get it for free at the library) this will very much help you on your road to success! I have been on this diet a bunch of times..it always works. Good luck and if you need support, advice, recipes, whatever...ask me!

Tip: When looking at nutritional information, always subtract total fiber from total carbs which equals the real carb amount. For example, there are 5 carbs in a peice of bread...minus 2 grams of fiber...total carbs is 3 grams.

Q: ok. i'm 15 years old, 5'4" and 97 pounds. i know this probably sounds like a lot but i really feel unconfortable and i would like to get my weight down to about 89 pounds (thats what i was last summer).. however if my mom notices me not eating then she'll flip so i have to be kind of discreet about it. i also don't want to have to starve myself or anything... i run about 25 miles per week and i don't think i can do much more exrecise though i`ll try if that will make a difference. i'd like to reach my goal my mid-july. thanks :)
Your actually too skinny. Normal/healthy weight for 5'4 is about 115-120 lbs. I suggest gaining weight instead of losing it...if you were 89 lbs you would probably die! Go to a doctor for information about gaining weight...eat a lot...food is good!

Q: when you do crunchs or situps with your legs straight up does it do more to your stomach then it does when your legs are bent? thansk.
Yes it does because you have to work harder to get your stomach to do the crunch, which means better results. It only works if you keep your legs straight the whole time...if you cant do it (usually it hurts) just do it the normal way. =)

Q: well i want to lose weight on my legs thighs especially and i want to do it quickly any ideas please help. my self esteem is lowering as we speak because people say im fat and i know i am but its killing me inside and i need help with losing the weight exercizing or i might just not eat. ill rate 5's.
Not eating will make you lose weight but it causes death so unless you want to die...not eating at all shouldent be an option.

Just watch what you eat; Cut out sodas, juice, all junk food and eat your basic three meals a day w/ healthy snacks in between (Apples, handful of peanuts, etc.) Dont eat big meals, make your portions small && of course, exercise! Exercise doesn't have to be boring/not fun...if you like any sport or if you like to dance..your exercising!

Hey, well there are a lot of ways you can lose weight.

You can do it the way that everyone knows: Cut your meal portions, no snacks, no sugary drinks. Lots of water. And of course exercise(walking everyday for 30 minutes) And you'll actually lose a lot of weight.

But there is another way, that requires no exercise, but a lot of work on your part. It's called the 'Low Carb Diet' and if you have ever heard of Atkins, South Beach thats basically it. You lose about 5-12 lbs the two weeks and 1-3 lbs a week after that. If you need more info on the diet I suggest you get a "south beach diet" book from the library or go to www.lowcarbcafe.com OR you can send me another message because I did the diet 3 times, and my longest was for four months and I lost a lot.

Good luck and dont go overboard with the diet =)





Q: How much weight would you say is healthy to lose over like a week or so?
2-3 lbs a week is the healthy weight loss range.
But if you do a low carb diet (which is, most of the time, an exception) you can lose up to 10 lbs in a week and it's still healthy.

More girls suffer from anorexia but guys are affected by it too. My guy friend was and didn't get treatment for it because his family didn't think guys could be anorexic. But it happens.

Q: Okay. I was supposed to get my period at..eh..around the 20 of last month. obviously i haven't. :( and i'm a bit confused why.

I'm NOT sexually active, nor have I ever had sex.
I'm 13.
But I can't say that defensivley because there are many people my age sexually active.

I just got over being sick..could that effect it?

It's normal for you to, once in a while, skip periods. Don't worry about it, actually..enjoy the free month of freedom =) At your age, periods can be irregular and it's okay ! And Being sick doesn't affect your period =)


Q: I need help with a diet that is quick, easy, and exercise that I can do every day. I go to school, come home, go to work till 6:30 come home and do homework. Also I have a 8 month old son. So my schedule is already packed pretty tight. Is there anything I can do??? HELP!!! I weigh like 200 lbs. and im 5'6. HELP!
The low-carb diet? The Low Carb diet requires no exercise -- but it would help with your weight loss. Q: Okay. I've had my period on a regular cycle for a little over a year and a half. This week, it came a little earlier than usual, but sometimes its a few days off. Anyway, it started three days ago, and until this morning it had been really light. For half of today it had been regular, then started being light again around 12:00. I don't think anything's wrong, but this hasn't ever happend before and i just wanted to check. Will it be longer since it's lighter or will it be the same length?
It will most likley be the same length but you never know with periods. Lightness or heavyness usually doesnt affect how long your period is. So dont worry too much. Hope I helped =)

Q: im planning on buying 6 second ab.. anyone who has/had experience, could you tell me if it acutally works like it says so on tv?
My friend has it, its so stupid. I'm telling you..things on T.V. never work! It's a waste of money..my friend used it for a week and now its in her garage in a box. Just do regular crunches && sit ups =)

Q: alright, i'm 14 years old and i'm around.. 5'3" or possibly 5'4" and im about 106lbs. I'm just asking.. is that really skinny? I mean, I have like, real high metabolism ( both my parents have it ) and all my friends say I'm too skinny and that I need to gain some weight. I'm just having some trouble. My sister is the same thing as you. Shes between 5'3 and 5'4 and 107 lbs. She has a fast metabolism and everything. As long as you eat normally your weight is fine. I dont think you should gain weight just so other people stop bugging you. If your too skinny, people complain..and if your fat, people complain. No one is ever satisfied you know? Your fine the way you are, even though your skinny..who cares? At least your not like 200 lbs.

Q: You said you were on the south beach diet/low carb diet or something like that and lost a lot of weight? well i want to lose weight fast and it sounds like your diet is working so my question is if your on a low carb diet, doesnt that mean like no break,pasta etc. so wat do you eat besides that??All i can think of is fruit and yogurt. No bread rice pasta potatoes. No junk food a all. No fruit!(Until after two weeks) No Yogurt! (Definatley no yogurt) No pizza, No sandwhiches. Nothing with sugAR. YOUR main food will be meat. chicken, turkey, burger meat, bologna, ham, sausage stuff like that. If you want a sandwhich you eat like the meat wrapped in lettuce instead of the bun. I suggest going to this site www.lowcarbcafe.com to have all your questions answered on this diet..theres even a cookbook! Your at a perfect weight, if you want to lose weight lost 5 lbs at the most. Seriously, losing 15-20 will make you look gross and anoerexic. The diet I do is atkins/south beach (low carb) but for people that should only lose 5-10 lbs this really isint for you. If you cut our sodas, juices, drinks and candy with sugar...you'll most likley lose 5-10 lbs in 2-3 weeks! Really. Watch your sugar intake, also anything white. As in rice, bread, etc. Thats what low carb basically is. Banning the "white" foods (rice, bread, pasta potatoes) and banning sugars...you will lose weight...and you dont even need to exercise. anyway good luck..if you need any help with anything you can IM me! --ilinerobsession

Q: well im really trying to lose weight and my friend told me to run a mile 5 days a week then next week run 2 miles and so on if i did that up to 10 miles how long would it take me to lose about 45 pounds?
Okay we wouldent know, BUT not only is exercising a good key to losing weight. So is eating healthy. You cant eat a double cheese burger, a large fry, and a coke and then exercise...and expect to lose weight. But I'm sure you already know that. Your running routine is a good idea! But its a little too much, thats too much strain on your body. How about 1 mile the first week..and then 2 miles after that first week. Stop at 2 miles because it'll hurt too much to do like 4 miles! Okay and just cut out a lot of your sugars: candy, chocolate, juices, and sodas! Drink lots and lots of water.

You can start low carbing. Lose 8-13 lbs in the first week or two and 2-4 lbs a week after that. its pretty fast results and you lose belly weight first and you dont even need to exercise (but its helpful but not required). For more info..just ask me!

Q: I am 20 and I am 300 lbs, I am also female which raises the cruelity level up a few notches. I desparetly need new deit tips so I can lose the extra flab.
I think low carb would be the best way to go. You know atkins/south beach? Its worked for millions and it will work for you. I think you should look it up on google or buy the book(Have to buy the book!). If you want atkins, its pretty strict..but south beach is strict also but lets you add back carbs after a while. You could also consult your doctor and ask what you should do. Definatley start walking and stuff to raise your metabolism. If you looked up low carb and have any questions you can ask me. I'm doing low carb and I know all the basics and stuff. Good luck!

Q: what is a good way to get a flat stomach?
Sit ups and crunches. Dont drink sodas, juices, dont eat snacks..dont eat anything with lots and lots of sugars!
