missed period..Whoa. that's a new one..

Question Posted Monday April 3 2006, 6:32 am

Okay. I was supposed to get my period at..eh..around the 20 of last month. obviously i haven't. :( and i'm a bit confused why.

I'm NOT sexually active, nor have I ever had sex.
I'm 13.
But I can't say that defensivley because there are many people my age sexually active.

I just got over being sick..could that effect it?

Thanks for your help. :]

well, i got my period when i was 13 years old, and i wasn't sexually active either because that is WAY too young... but anyway, i got it a couple of times and then i didn't get it for 5 months! it was completely normal, and it came back on its own! nothing to worry about! :)

It's normal for you to, once in a while, skip periods. Don't worry about it, actually..enjoy the free month of freedom =) At your age, periods can be irregular and it's okay ! And Being sick doesn't affect your period =)

Hi,

Dont worry at your age especially, your body is still figuring itself out! Sometimes you can skip a period & the next month you'll get it back to normal.

This is completely normal. At 13, the woman's period is never regular. It's gonna be irregular the first couple years. Sometimes you'll get it, and sometimes you won't. It's nothing to worry about though. Don't freak out when you don't get it. Being sick could have affected it a little. But trust me, it's nothing to worry about. You'll get it eventually, and everything will be fine. =]

It's just irregular like all 13 year old girl's periods are. The you being sick might have effected it a little, but mostly it is just not on an exact pattern. Good Luck! ♥ KENDALL

As you are still at an age where periods and development have only just begun your periods may not yet be regular and have some random patches. I read somewhere you have to be at least seven stone to start your periods so if you have been ill recently you may have lost some weight resulting in the stopping of your periods.

I hope i helped
