AGEHA answered Monday April 3 2006, 7:13 pm: Yes. It's just not as common for a variety of reasons. Mainly it's because women are more self-conscious and controlled by what is the "ideal" female figure, which is the result of a lot of factors in society that I don't feel the need to detail. XoNeLLiE143oX answered Monday April 3 2006, 6:02 pm: its a lot more common in girls but yeah its very possible. Girls have a lot more self esteem issues from seeing celebreties being so skinny and thats pretty much why its more common...girls read that kind of stuff and watch it. but to the point yes.

Sherry answered Monday April 3 2006, 5:34 pm: More girls suffer from anorexia but guys are affected by it too. My guy friend was and didn't get treatment for it because his family didn't think guys could be anorexic. But it happens. [ Sherry's advice column | Ask Sherry A Question ]

samanthab912 answered Monday April 3 2006, 4:39 pm: Both boys and girls can become anorexic. It is just that, girls feel they have to be HOT, and THIN. Guys become anorexic for example: in sports, and having to be in a certain weight catergorie.
