A father finds his son praying at night. 'God bless Mommy, Daddy, and Grandma. Ta ta Grandpa.' The father finds this odd, but doesn't think too much of it. The next morning the grandfather dies. The father remembers the night before, but doesn't say anything. That night, the son prays, 'God bless Mommy and Daddy. Ta ta, Grandma.' The father hopes that nothing happens to the grandmother. Sure enough, the next morning the grandmother dies. At this point the father gets really scared. That night, the son prays "God bless Mommy. Ta ta, Daddy". The father stays up all night long, frightened. Early in the morning he goes to the doctor to make sure everything is fine. When he comes home, his wife is waiting frantically in the driveway and yells "Honey, come quick! The milkman just dropped dead on the porch!"

whats the big deal with 60's music. my perants are always saying how that music was so much better and all the artist back then are the best and people now just lip sync and dont write thier own music and suck. same with the public. all the best ratted songs and albums and artists are old songs and artists.
i just don't know why that music is apperantly so much better, people are saying that now people don't write thier own songs or play thier own insterments or lip sync but lots of artist did the same thing like elvis and the supremes and many girl groups and the monkees and cher and it's just kindof enoying. can anyone please explain to me why that music is better or why it's more popular.
thanks

The music back then had a lot more heart. There were a lot of big social issues at the time. It was highly original and catchy. And the feeling behind it. The love, the freedom. And yes....the drug refrences, but beyond that, it was new and fresh and exciting.

Could someone who has bought the Hybrid Theory album recently tell me if it came with the Pancake Festival dvd? I've looked online but I can't find whether or not it does.
Thank you! (link)

It didn't. I'm sorry. I had to go out an buy my own copy. By the way, I LOVE HYBRID THEORY! That's one of my top favorite albums. I never get tired of it...I could go on and on about Linkin Park and Mike SHinoda...*sigh!*

Does anyone know the song that goes "this is the story of a girl who cried a river and drowned the whole world. She's looks so sad in photographs but i absolutely love her when she smiles"? what song is it and who sings it? (link)
|
I remember that song it came out when I was in like 6th or 7th grade. The band is 9 Days and the song is "Story of a Girl". Its a shame, that band was a one hit wonder and the song the got famous off of.

Actaully, I just found a bass guitar for $15 at a yard sale and its in good condition. Your best bet, a garage sale or yard sale and of course pawn shops, you'd be amazed.

As far as I know, you pronounce it "Bee-YORK".

So I'm totally in love with this person and that person loves me too... and I want to put together a CD of music sort of saying how i've fallen for them. Any ideas on songs for the playlist? (link)
|
I guess if you really like the movie Anchorman, you could put the song "Afternoon Delight" or "She Dreams in Digital"-Orgy, "Closer"-Nine Inch Nails, "Cry on Little Wing"-Jimmy Hendrix, "Ribbon in the Sky"-Stevie Wonder, "silver and Cold"-AFI. Good Luck,

Open your mouth wider, and make sure you use all of the breath in your diaphrgm, but be careful not to sound too breathy, but I'm sure you know that.

hey, does anyone have any good ideas for a band name? theres like 4-5 s in it and all i thought of is "strength in scars" but it sounds kind of like my firends band so i dont think were gunna use it.. thanks so much [i'll give you credit or whatever if we do use it lol just give me your first name of somthing] (link)
|
What kind of band is it, first of all, cause that really helps me with brain storming. Is it emo, punk, metal, thrash, ska, what? A good name for a band would be something like, "finger prints on your heart" or the "trashcan militia". What? I think they sound cool! *lol* Good Luck with a name.

Anyone know where I can buy a decent record player other than Ebay? I bought one off of there and it broke before the first song ended. Any web sites or store suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks! (link)

I tell everyone this who is looking for vintage things, try the salvation army, old vintage stores, and record stores. If you know a place where a lot deejays hang out, go there, because they will most likely have one there, too. Garage sales and yard sales are also a cool place to look, but you may find more records than record players. Also, ask older family members if they have any, you'd be suprised. Good Luck.

Send demos to record comapnies. See if there are any small record labels in your area. Or try to get her band a gig at a club, or party, and spread the word about her voice. See if you can get a family memeber to pull some strings if they're in the music industry. I think I may be able to give you info on some underground record companies, just let me know if you want the info or not, and I'll try to get back to you as soon as possible. I hope things work out.

I enjoy reading as well, Shakespeare is pretty good stuff. Anne Mccaffery, if you like dragons and science fiction. George Orwell is good if you like books that have political messages in them.I recommend the book Animal Farm, its really good. Edgar Allen Poe, if you have a dark side. Chaucer is pretty good, a little dry to me, but classic. Thats all I can think of right now, but I hope you enjoy some the selctions I've Listed.
By the way, one of the best books, in my opinion by Shakespeare, is Julius Caesar, either that or As you like it.

hey i'm the girl whose walkman was broken because the sound was only coming out of the 1 ear. well it wasnt the headphones because i put other headphones in and it still didnt work, so i want to know if there is a place where i can get my walkman looked at/repaired. i have a Sony Psyche and i HEARD that they don't make them anymore, so where could bring it to get it fixed? my mom doesnt remember where she bought it. and would it be cheaper to get it repaired or should i just buy a new one? i have no idea. and i feel bad because we dont really have alot of money right now. (link)
|
I'm actually amzed the headphones didn't work. You should probably buy another one, because to me, it seems like that one is going to give you persistant problems, so you might come out better getting a new one. Try getting a cheap one, 'cause in all actuality, they seem to work better, for me at least, but make sure it doesn't skip, thats the darndest thing to find, a cheap walkmen that doesn't skip, but its not immpossible.

i have a Sony Psyche walkman. it's about a year old and it worked great. well just recently the music only started coming out of the left ear. i thought the batteries could be going, so i put new ones in and it's still the same. so whats wrong or how do i fix it? im pissed off cause it was a $50 walkman. (link)
|
Its probably the headphones, i always have to by new headphones almost every three months. You may be listening to the music too loudly. Try the heaphones, and then see what happens.

i need to listen to some new bands... i love the ones i listen to,so i'd like something like them (the strokes, weezer, von bondies, and coldplay)
not rap (spare me), or hip-hop or anything. just rock... and i usually end up liking the bands that aren't very well known...
hear of some?
if so... let me know. (link)

this may seem shallow but, why are all the young teenagers(generally below 15) OBSESSED with the fag rock bands, like GC, and simple plan, and that crap? (link)
|
First off, i know how you feel about those bands, but could you not use the term "fag", it kinda pushes my buttons. Second of all, yeah those bands suck, what are u gonna do about it, hate them all you want, but people are still gonaa like'em *lol* young teenagers, are still novices when it comes to the music scene, they are still exploring. For example, when i was 13 i LOVED limp bizkit, i deny it now, but thats the truth, and older teenagers still have a lot to learn to. i'm only fifteen, and i asume that ur a teengaer as well, most of the bands we listen to nowadays are gonna be gone in the next 3 to 5 years, and if theres a nuclear war the only things that will survive will be the roaches, good charlotte, and simple plan....a little scary to think about, huh?

where can u get the cheapest CDs? thx, erin (link)

Try new and used record stores, that where i go, or just have a frined burn them for you, more money in your pocket!
