My names Casey. I'm a crazy cat lady who's obsessed about books and doesn't wear matching socks. I enjoy all kinds of tea and sometimes I believe in as many as six impossible things before breakfast.

Okay, well I'm 14 years old and I'm 5'0.
I am 165 pounds.
I was wondering what the average weight for me is?
It is really hard for me to committ to a diet.
Does anyone have any tips for me?
-Try eating three average-sized meals and a two snacks per day, to keep you energized and full.
Like the first person who answered said, try snacking on healthier things. Like Pretzels, Low Fat Popcorn, Fruits, Veggies, 100 calorie packs, Yoplait Yogurt, etc.
-When you have a craving for something, and want it REALLY bad, try this. Delay then Decide. Do something else for about 10-15 minutes. Like Take a walk, a bubble bath, give yourself a pedicure. Then if you still want something, take a smaller portion of it. you'll feel good that you made a better decision, so i doubt you'll even take what you craved.
-Avoid Eating in front of the TV. Beleive me, this is a good tip. I always used to snack in front of the tv, then I discovered that I ate way more than what I planned on. Eat something BEFORE you go and sit down in front of it. Then, try doing some crunches.
-Eat around 1500 calories per day. (400 for breakfast, 600 for lunch, 300 for dinner [its the last meal of the day so you won't have time to burn it off], and 200 for snacks.
-Workout right after a meal. Preferably(sp?) after Lunch or Dinner. You're gonna want to burn 3500 calories per week to loose a pound of fat. an hour of running, jogging, or biking for 4x per week shall do the trick.

ok. so. i feel like a little chubby, so ive been trying to lose some weight. not THAT much, just 5-10 pounds.
in january, i decided i needed to lose 5 pounds. but i didnt have time to lose it quickly, so i did it slow.
around april i had lost 5-6 pounds.
the only thing is; ive been trying to lose more and im stuck.
i try not to eat much. and when i do eat-its all healthy food, like cottage cheese, blueberries, soup, and slimfast bars. i excersice about a half hour everyday ..sometimes every other day.
any tips?

you don't need to loose any weight.
you can probably just start eating normally again but keep working out. all you really need is toning. You're probably not loosing any more weight becaues if you loose any more, you'll start loosing muscle.
you don't want to be sickingly skinny either. remember, curves are actually good.
I am 13 years of age. I have been put in a situation where I could have sex. I really like the guy and I think he likes me. I am not sure if I should have sex with him or not. I really want to. I need advice. HELPPP!!
well how old is the guy? if the guy is the same age as you, i would forget about it.
13 year old guys are definitly not mature enough to have sex. and even if they do, you will get hurt by it, and it will be hard. if the guy is older, i would consider your options as well. Will you still be okay if he ever left you? Are you nervous at all about this? How can you have sex with someone because you "think" he likes you back. Guys are your (and mine) age are usually not good with this kind of stuff.

im over weight and have been since i was 8 years old but some of it is from meds that i have to take for a lung disease i have. the meds. help me breath but make me gain weight this disease also makes it hard for me to work out. im not a junk food eater cuss im allergic to most junk foods so it cant be blamed on that but im at the point now that i dont no what to do to loss the weight is there anyone that nos what i could do??
talk to your doctor on what you want to do and get a correct way to loose this weight.
if there's anything else we tell you, you could get sick. so doctors the best.
im pretty skinny i guess, 109ish, 5'3. but im loosing weight. my waist is around 26-27 inches? which is great because my abs are flat and my top half is pretty thin. like, inbetween my boobs (though im flat) i have an indent at my bone because my ribs stick out its weird. but my legs and butt is bigger. i was doing a health calculator and it said that i had a big butt, (apple shaped body). i dont really need to loose anymore weight i just want thinner thys and butt. i run, bike ride, cheer, jump on the trampoline. i know theres not spot reduction. but should i keep loosing weight or is there spacific exercises i can do?
i think you're at the right weight.
all you really need to do is tone your body.
running is good for your whole body, and jumping is good too. I would try doing the stairmaster at the gym or buy a "step" and do certain workouts that work out your butt.
as for eating..its good to have some curves. Healthy eating is really the way to go.
meal plan:
Breakfast- Peanutt Butter Bannana Sandwhich on Whole Grain Bread, OJ.
Lunch- 1/2 Turkey Wrap, Apple, Non-Fat Pudding.
Dinner- Chicken, Rice, and Corn with 1% Milk.

okay. loosing 45lbs can be pretty easy. Sure its more weight, but you'll be able to burn it faster than someone who's smaller.
healthy eating is one thing you can change.
Start by replcing snacks with fruits and veggies and add one of the two to each meal you consume. Eat half-portion sizes of what you normally eat. For the fruit and veggie part, try eating at least 5-7 per day. Also, consume at least 1600 calories per day.
you'll have to workout though. Working out and Eating Healthy is the key to Weight Loss. Start by 20 minutes of running per day. 3 sets of 20 crunches, and 3 sets of 30 jumping jacks. do that 3-4x per week. after that becomes easy, add another 10 to the running, crunches, and jumping jacks you normally do.
I'm not quite sure how long it will take for you to reach your goal. it depends on how commited you stay to your diet. If your really commited you can loose like 4-6lbs per week.
okay im 5'8 and i weigh 150 pounds. i want to lose at least 10 pounds this summer. would it be healthy to lose 10 pounds in 2 months? to have a good body, what should be weight be? please dont tell me 150 is fine because its not for me and i need to lose weight...so yeah. so is 10 pounds a good goal for 2 months?
i think that you can weigh around 140lbs. its you're weight that you will most likely be most fit.
as long as you're not crash dieting, loosing 10lbs in 2 months is fine. Eating the right amount of fruits and vegetables, and excersising should get you where you want to be.

I need help. I am 16 year old, 5'8 female who weighs in at 365 pounds. That's right. THREE HUNDRED And Sixty-Five Pounds. Now please, this is serious so don't comment about how fat I am and all that other bull because believe me, I know already. So I need to lose weight (obviously) not only because it is extremely unhealthy but also because I let my weight run my life. I am sick of worrying about wether or not my gut is hanging out or if my shirt will cover it. I am sick of worrying about wether or not I will fit into a desk at school. This is not a joke people. READ WHAT I'M WRITING I SOUND LIKE A FREAK!!!! :( I need motivation. I am completely unmotivated. I hate being what I am but that isn't enough to make me want to change. I don't know what to do anymore. It's gotten to the point where I think I look gross all the time. And I do!
I look so disgusting I could vomit. And it's all because I am FAT. Personally I think I have a gorgeous face but you can't see it or who I really am because I'm in this fat suit. :( I've been big all my life but I can't go on like this or I'll be in my 30's and weigh 600 pounds. I suggest buying "The Diet for Teenagers Only". Its a very good book with an EXCELLENT diet plan for teenage girls. i'm just starting it, actually.
Its at Barnes and Noble (if that store isn't near the area you live try Borders, or any other big book store) and its like $20? trust me, its worth it.
There's a lot of motivation speech type things there as well. and excersise routine that you can stick with.

Remember, this book starts off small. once you go on this diet you will loose up to 5lbs the first week.

Ok. I am going to use real names because I don't feel the need to hide this.
I have a friend Taylor. We have been good friends for a while. I also have a best friend Dave.
Dave and Taylor were together, but not going out. They really liked eachother, understandable right?
Taylor "broke up" with Dave, then hated him for the last 4 months. For no reason at all, just wouldn't talk to him and made fun on him constantly. Dave hurt for a while, but finally got over it.
Dave and I have been extremely close ever since we met. Dave and I now are kind of, as you can say, together.
Ever since Dave and I have been together, Taylor has been trying to talk to Dave again, and asks me ridiculous questions about me and him and what we do. She said that him her and can only be enemies, or lovers. So what does that mean? If she is trying to talk to him, that might mean she wants to be lovers with him.
She insists she is over him and does not want him, but why is she constantly asking me about it? And flipping out on me about him. I think she still has feelings for him, which is understandable. But she has hated him for 4 months, and Dave would try to talk to her, but she was just such a BITCH to him that he got over her.
It's not my fault me and him like eachother, we cannot control feelings. I understand where she is coming from because it is her ex, but still, they are over, and she knows it.
I don't know what to do. I do not what to loose either of them. Taylor is just being very immature about this and said she might as well go hook up with my ex boyfriend Justin, so I would know how it felt.
Dave and I have been through A LOT together. Like, a mad amount of stupid shit we have done and gotten in trouble for. Taylor seems like it is right to bring those mistakes up to make me sound like a bad person.
I tried talking to her so many times.

okay, well, i can kind of relate to Taylor on this whole thing. She's feeling hurt right now because she still likes Dave but Dave likes you, so she is blaming you for everything that happened. When she "broke up" with him she was probably hoping that Dave would come running back to her.
i think that what needs to happen is Dave should talk to her about it. He needs to tell her that she needs to except the fact that its over and find someone else. if she doesn't get it, she'll get over it eventually.
just don't end it with dave because then she'll get exactly what she wants.
how do i lose weight and what kind of low calorie foods should i eat
Well, too loose weight you need a safe plan on how you're going to be doing it. What I'm doing, is i'm on 1500 calories per day diet. sometimes i go a little less than that. but not by much.
Don't try to change your eating habits all at once. usually people don't do well on those kind of diets.
For the first week, just try eating healthier. Start by replacing Soda with water, iced tea, oj, fruit juices. and replace your snacks with whole grain, fruits, veggies, salads, stuff like that.
Seventeen.com (new body, new you challenge) has a lot of good recipes for the week on that.
Second Week, start cutting back on the food. Only buy like a third though. This is when you start counting your calories and you start working out more. Buy POM tea at Hannaford. It has special antioxidents in them that help you burn fat and loose weight. Also with the Working Out, start Running, Jogging, Walking for 40 minutes per day with like 60 situps.
Some low calorie foods that are best for this diet (besides fruits and vegetables)-
Pria Bars (110 bars)
Special K Bars
Non-Fat Fig Newtons
Whole Grain Weat Thins
Low-Fat Peanutt Butter with Celery Sticks
Non-Fat Chocolate Pudding
Non-Fat Yoplait Yogurt
when you buy snacks look for the 100 calorie ones..they're the best.

Ok I'm 13 years old and my breast are only an 34A. But one of them is bigger than the other! i already figured out that their is no friken hope and that im going to stay this small for the rest of my friken life!!!!! WHAT DO I DO????!!!! ok Im not annerxic ill eat if i want to im just not hungry. Im not like completly i just dont eat everything i see. My friends are worried and so is my friend Josh who i like and i told him im not so dont worrie so he took me out to eat with his family and i ate a salad and some of joshs fries and when i got back to there house he literally forced me to eat icecream qith him and i was So sick afterwards. okay. well, you're not gonna loose weight by not eating as much. either your hungry or not, you need to eat three meals per day. thats probably why you felt sick after eating so much before.
for breakfast start off with Special K (protein Plus) and Non-Fat Yogurt.
for Lunch have a Salad with Carrot sticks. Non-Fat Pudding, and a Pria Bar.
and for Dinner have a Lean Cousine. for dinner you can eat pretty much anything as long as its in moderation.
drink A LOT of water and try running three times a week.
you'll start seeing progress within two weeks. maybe around 6lbs you'll loose? just keep doing that. i don't know what you're height is but get you're BMI number and see what you're healthy weight is.
15->16F, 5'3", 140 lbs
I really want to lose ~20 lbs by the end of summer, or atleast 10 just to be healthier... since I`m a whole lot of flab (stomach+arms) which isn`t a totally good thing. Plus, I want to feel better about myself, because it`s really discouraging when a 90 lb girl goes "Omfg, I`m so fat". I`m also doing it so that I don`t bum around for the whole summer, since there isn`t much to do.
So like, if I supposedly (not sure if I can) go to the gym, atleast 3-4 times a week for cardio and such (burning atleast 400 cals), play softball/practice atleast once a week for about an hour, cut out junk food/unhealthy foods and drink a lot of water, would I be able to reach my goal? (Even though it`s assumed that if I lose ~2 lbs per week, I`d lose ~16 lbs by the end of summer)
(Excluding the gaining muscles then losing weight thing)

The best advice I can give you is to stay commited and eat healthy.
Replace junkfood that you eat with an apple, or some other fruit or veggie.
Eat Salads throughout your day to keep you feeling full.
Drink POM tea (it helps burn fat).
Eat smaller portion sizes (use smaller plates).
Drink better beverages (such as Water, OJ, 100% fruit juices)
Eat 3 meals per day. Special K for breakfast is the way to go.
Working out you can do pretty much anything. jumping jacks, running, walking, biking, and swimming. swimming works all the muscles. work out 3 - 4 times per week.

I have a weird question. Lets say one day you have a lot of variety of foods. Fruits, veggies, nuts, eggs, milk, cereal, etc. Then, by the end of the day you have a cookie or two. Would that be ok to do since it would be balancing it out? If you had a lot of nutrients & good foods throughout the day, does a treat hurt it? or does it balance it & not really do anything? well, it depends on if you're trying to loose weight or not.
naturally, its not good or bad for you. so it won't really do anything.
just don't go overboard and stick to the serving size

Well, first off, you can change the way you eat.
Work on eating 5 fruits and vegetables a day. Replace snack foods with healthier stuff. like whole grain snacks (Fig Newtons are good, Whole-Grain Weatthins, etc). Whole grains are another important part for healthy eating. They're the good kind of carbs. They also have a very wide selection on Whole Grain Cereals like Cheerios and Life. Try eating those.
Workout? Start off by riding your bike or going for a 30 minute jog for your cardio. Then try Jumping Jacks, around 20. There are a few good "core" excersises you can do too. I suggest buying SEVENTEEN magazine. They have really good excersises in there.
What i would do is 60 situps per day. then try doing some pushups as well.

So Im trying to stay fit and going on bike rides. Yet I dont want to get stopped by a cop saying its illegal for me to ride my bike. Anyways.. what is NJ law on helmets? :/ The guy at the store said 14 and under and then people keep saying 17 and under. WHICH IS IT?

i got hit by a car on my bike during the summer of fifth grade. because i wasn't wearing a helmet, i had to get 4 stitches in my head.

So 2 days ago, I leaned over to smell the yummy food thing being cooked on the stove. I have long hair. Or I used to, at least. Anyway, I leaned over, 'mmm'ed for a sec, then screamed and put out the fire that had started on my hair. So more than 10cm were poof, gone, burnt. I happened so fast.
My hair was as long as ... halfway through my back, cut in Asian style with many layers. Now, the left side is long like that, but the right side, the burnt side, barely reaches my shoulder. I basically look like a clown and I don't really like it... I have an appointment with this really skilled hairdresser dude (he claims to be so, whatever) on Tuesday. Now my question is:
(1) Should I tell him "Surprise me!" when he asks what I want the haircut to look like
OR
(2) Tell him I want a specific style. (You have to help me here as well ... I have a very round face, I'm tall [if that matters] and I'm 18).

I feel like things are crawling in my 'down there' area. I mean IN it. It feels really, really weird, and ucomfortable. I've looked to see if anything is there, but there doesn't seem to be. IS there any reason i would be feeling these things? And what might it be and how can i make it stop?
do you shave? it could just be irritation from the razor.
