I have a weird question. Lets say one day you have a lot of variety of foods. Fruits, veggies, nuts, eggs, milk, cereal, etc. Then, by the end of the day you have a cookie or two. Would that be ok to do since it would be balancing it out? If you had a lot of nutrients & good foods throughout the day, does a treat hurt it? or does it balance it & not really do anything? Thanks!!

Balanced does not mean some amount of junk food and some nutritious food. That being said, a couple of cookies or something, while they don't contribute to a balanced diet, are not usually harmful. It's all about portion control and regulating your diet. A treat once in a while is not usually harmful and might be helpful in keeping you satisfied and motivated to eat properly the rest of the time. [ Sabine's advice column | Ask Sabine A Question ]
