Is fox owned by the democrats or something? Because a lot of fox cartoons (family guy, american dad, the simpsons) make republicans look bad, and the democrats look good. E.g. when it was the election in the simpsons, Homer votes for Obama, but the vote gets processed for Mcain. Then when he points it out, he gets sucked up by the voting machine, and it tries to kill him?

Ive noticed this quite a bit, and was just wondering as it would help me with a project im doing in college. Thanks.

Fox is owned by News Corporation. Judging by the newspapers owned by News Corp., the higher-ups are likely to be right-leaning and would more likely be Republicans than Democrats.

The cartoons are more likely to reflect the political views of their creators rather than that of the broadcasters.

For example, according to Wikipedia, Matt Groening, the creator of the Simpsons, supports the Democrats.

i've tried reseting it, and pluging it into a computer, pressing different sets of buttons, and just turning it off. it wont do ANYTHING.

Also, i dont think this has anything to do with it, but if it helps my LCD screen on it, is kind of broken and theres parts of it where the screen is dark when the light is on, but you can see it when the light is off...
i dont think that has anythign to do with this, but it doesnt hurt to mention

hi, 17/m, from the UK.

My girlfriend went to the states on the 13th of july. First she went to seattle, and the day she went to sanfrancisco, she text me, and i tried ringing her, but she hasnt picked up since. She went to San Francisco about 4/5days ago. Before that we talked regularly, either texting or talking on the phone- it would cost more but we didnt mind. But now, it goes straight to voice-mail. Like its off, or dead. Any ideas? what could have happened? how do i know if she is ok? i havnt heard from her at all since. thanks a lot.

Did your girlfriend tell you how long she intends to spend in the States? Look forward to her getting home. (On the other hand, this also lets you know when to start worrying if she isn't back by then.)

Don't forget that even if you are the one to do the calling, it might still cost her to receive calls while abroad. That might be a reason for her to turn the phone off. Keep in mind that other people might also be calling her. Also, depending on the phone carrier, some people get lots of roaming spam via SMS, and that can be very annoying.

Try again at a different time of the day. She could just be busy going out.

i know how to view previous msn conversation history on msn but how do i see the webcam sessions that i have had? cause all i see when i try to find it is just the text of what we were saying

In the text history, there should be something along the lines of "starting viewing webcam with (name)". (Look at the window next time you start viewing someone's webcam.) That will tell you whether you were on webcam with someone during a conversation.

If it's the actual video that you want to see, I can't help you with that because MSN does not keep video records of your webcam sessions. (Imagine how much memory that would take.)

is it okay to send someone a message if you don't add that person to your friends list? and if it is does that person that you are sending the message to see your information or do they keep it hidden so that person only knows your name? i am new to this.

When you are on the Facebook profile of someone who is not your friend, if he or she allows messages from non-friends, there will be a "Send (name) a message" link under the person's picture.

If you send the person a message, he or she will be able to see your basic information (Basic Info, Work Info, Education Info, your profile pictures album, and your Friends List) for a month.

you know how ovens have the oven racks just like grills...well Iw as wondering if I put some foil down can I grill chicken and stuff in the oven and get a similar texture...not so uch the grill flavor but the crispier skin texture? thank you

Your oven should have a broiler, which can give effects similar to a grill.

Okay, I know it's stupid, but I have TONS AND TONS OF STUFF in my room, and I just can't seem to clean it- I just don't know where to start. I'm dead serious, you can't see the floor. And my bedroom has 2 rooms in it, and both are REALLY messy. How should I attack it? I've already tried putting everything in a giant pile on my bed and then sorting through it like that, and picking slips with areas, and neither works. And of course, I've tried the classic 'pick it up and put it where it goes.' Nothing seems to work! Can anyone help?

A lot of "stuff", you say? What stuff? Deal with things by category.

Wash any clothes that are on the floor, and then put them back in your wardrobe. If you have so many that they don't fit in the wardrobe, you probably have more than you need. Get rid of the ones you rarely wear. (Depending on the condition of the clothes, you might be able to sell them at a second-hand shop or on eBay, or you can give them to charity.)

Books should go in the bookshelf (if you have one) or be stacked up (if you don't have a bookshelf, or if your bookshelf is full). If you have old magazines, consider getting rid of them. The information in there is likely to be out of date anyway. (Of course, this depends on the topic of the magazines. This doesn't apply if your magazines are on topics that do not become dated.) Again, go through your books to see if there's anything you don't want, and sell them or give them away.

Small bits and pieces should be kept in containers. Plastic boxes with lids are good. (Lids are good for keeping dust out.)

After you've sorted stuff out, get used to not leaving things on the floor.

Also, if you already have a lot of clutter, do not buy unnecessary things. Ornaments can be lovely, but if you already have a lot of clutter, they just add to the mess.

okay so we're in love blahblah but the thing is, he's 17 and doesn't drive and he expects me to always give him rides. i honestly don't mind doing it as long as ive got nowhere to be and he gives me gas money once in awhile. he says he'll give me gas money but we both always forget until i drop him off and then i'm like "oh i forgot to get his gas money" but the thing is, if i remind him, i feel bad asking him...he works alot and has money but i still feel bad i guess =/ what should i doo?

Does driving your boyfriend around use up so much gas that the cost is a serious issue? If yes, you do need to let him know. He wouldn't want you to be struggling, would he?

One way of making it simpler is to fill up the car while he's with you, because that would be a logical time to bring it up, and not make it seem too out of the blue.

An alternative is to just subtly suggest that he pays for things (like food, movie tickets or anything else you might need to buy on a date) when you go out together. That way, it will seem less like you're always asking him for money, and while you won't be getting cash back, you then don't have to spend money that you might otherwise spend. (Of course, that doesn't work if he's already the one who pays for everything.)

Alright, this is sort of embarassing, but I havent had my period in a very long time. I started when I was 13 and have been irregular ever since I started.
I've only had about 9-10 periods in my life. I was concerned about it before, but when I talked to nurses they always told me it was alright to be irregular.
I've always felt really bad about it though. So a couple years ago I went on birth control (to regulate it). It worked, but it became a hassle because everytime i forgot to take a pill, i'd get a period. So I quit that.

But its been over a year now? Or around there since my last period. Im 17 years old. And im just wondering...that cant be healthy right?

I know I should be asking a doctor these questions, but I havent been to one in ages and its hard to make an appointment (they're always booked for months)

But this is probably going to have a bad effect on me im guessing. My biggest fear is that I wont be able to have children in the future.


So I guess what im asking is does anyone else have this problem? or has heard of someone with this problem?

The condition of not having your period for more than three months in a row is called amenorrhoea, and it can be a symptom of reproductive system problems.

By the way, no need to be embarrassed about your period (or lack thereof).

I got the Sims 3 the day after it came out
And I made a family with a girl child
No over the weeks, that child has grown into an elder with a husband, and family with her oldest son about to have a kid and get married

Now yesterday, she randomly froze
She is standing outside the front door, frozen
I have turned off the game and turned it back on
She is still frozen there
Noone can talk to her. All she does is slightly move her head
And I have no idea how to get her un-frozen


NO I will not uninstall and reinstal the game
So don't even mention it

I've asked people before about what my dreams mean and they pick out stuff and tell me what symbolizes what and what means this and that. How do they know?

If you have a look in a book shop, there are definitely books on dream meanings. Whether they are accurate or not is a different story. (Remember, just because something is published doesn't make it right.)

They're like horoscopes. Can be interesting to read, but not to be taken seriously.

A scientific explanation of dreams is that they are a function of brain activity.

i just started my period, i have all the other signs of puberty, but i haven't developed boobs at all. nothing is there, i might as well be a ten-year-old boy. im 15, somewhere around 100 lbs (maybe less), and 5'2. im happy i started my period and most people tell me to be patient, but no girl my age ive ever seen or met still doesnt have boobs. its just impossible in this world as i know it, is there something wrong with me? will i never get boobs and stay flat-chested my whole life? it seems like all girls start to develop them before their period, thats why im so worried.

First of all, boobs can continue to develop until one's late teens, so the people who tell you to be patient do have a point.

Having your period is a sign that you are developing normally, so don't worry.

Also, 100 lb and 5'2 is quite skinny, so it is normal for you to have small boobs. (There are exceptions, but don't count on that.)

Look on the bright side. Some clothing styles look the best on flat-chested women. For example, halter tops and t-shirts with bright prints. There are also problems associated with having bigger boobs, such as difficulty in finding tops that fit nicely. At least you won't have those problems.

Help! I got my rat 2 weeks ago! And she keeps sneezing too! I've changed her bedding from aspen to EcoClean or something like that, it's crinkled paper together. She's pretty active when it's not nap time (like right now). She eats good, poops many times a day, but it's not runny, it's normal. She pees on me a lot and brux a lot. She's got bright eyes, but she's albino anyway. She was a feeder rat. Help please? Her sneezes are constant, and for really no reason. Right now she's quiet but as I said, she's asleep. I feel her toasted oats, chicken and apples baby food, carrots, rat pellets, and seeds. Please, is she going to be okay? I have a vet appointment scheduled for tomorrow.

By the time you see this, you have probably already brought your rat to the vet. I hope your rat is alright.

Keep in mind that rats are prone to respiratory problems in general. It's important that you take it to the vet. (While rats are relatively cheap to buy as compared to some other pets, the vet bills can add up.)

Crinkled paper is appropriate as bedding, as long as it doesn't have any harmful inks. (It's good that you're NOT giving it cedar or pine shavings, because those tend to lead to respiratory problems.)

The diet sounds good EXCEPT for the chicken, which isn't really that good for rats because they don't need that much protein. All the other stuff like oats and seeds are more typical rat food.

No, it doesn't necessarily mean he's dying. It might be say, skin infection or injury. Take a close look and you should be able to see if that's the case.

Either way, you should take him to the vet just to be on the safe side.

I just got a new laptop for my birthday and I want to transfer all of my favorite music from my old laptop to the new one. They're both on the same network, so I shared the library from the old one. It shows the library is shared, but I can't figure out how I can import all of the songs onto my new library so that I can sync it to my iPod. Do you know of any ways that I can get these songs on my new library?

If you can see the library on the new laptop, you should be able to just drag individual tracks into your library on that computer.

Most importantly, you will need a microphone to record the music, and software for processing the file once you've recorded it.

I am thinking about buying sims 3.
I was wondering, I dont have the buy any of the other sims for this to work?

I havnt played sims for years, and I remember you always had to have the first ever sims for another one to work.

Also, I dont know if I should buy it if it is going to REALLY slow down my laptop, its pretty good but will it slow it down a lot?

& if thats the casse, and since i am not an addicted game player - would it be possible to put the disc in and just play it without installing it - you know like a one time game

The Sims 3 is a standalone. The ones that require the original to play are the expansion packs.

There are the original The Sims series (the base game, and 7 expansion packs), The Sims 2 series (a base game separate from the original, and its own 8 expansion packs), and now The Sims 3 (which doesn't have any expansion packs yet because it's new, but I wouldn't be surprised if they make some eventually).

You can't play the game without installing it. This is because you can't write to the disc and so things need to be stored on your computer. Also, you will need the disc every time you play.

Check the system requirements to see if your computer can handle it.

okay so for two years i ran track in high school. i did sprinting. (i got 5th several times in the state meets.:]) so my leg muscles are wide and big. i know they are fast-twitch muscles from sprinting but i want to turn them into slow-twitch muscles that are slimmer and skinnier looking. please help! :)

You can do endurance exercise (for example, running long distance as opposed to sprinting) and develop slow-twitch muscles, but be warned that there is a genetic component to the type of muscle that you naturally develop more easily, and you might retain the fast-twitch muscles that you already have.
