Ipod is... ???

Question Posted Friday July 24 2009, 12:31 pm

Hi, my ipod is a 30 gb video ipod.. i've had it almost three years.

ANyway,i dont know what is wrong with it..

it isnt the normal writing on it, and the top it says SDRAM full test

then below it says
Please wait...
Run: BL on
Pass: Bl blink
Fail: Bl off

reset to continue.

and the light it blinking on and off..

i've tried reseting it, and pluging it into a computer, pressing different sets of buttons, and just turning it off. it wont do ANYTHING.

Please help me!!!

Also, i dont think this has anything to do with it, but if it helps my LCD screen on it, is kind of broken and theres parts of it where the screen is dark when the light is on, but you can see it when the light is off...
i dont think that has anythign to do with this, but it doesnt hurt to mention

Additional info, added Friday July 24 2009, 12:35 pm:
I'm going to see what happens if the battery runs out.. i dont know how long that would take though. i cant see the battery thing, because the part that says SDRAM full test is all black (not because of my broken LCD) but the writing there is white.

the rest of it is normalish with the black type on white background.

It says "reset to continue". Have you tried resetting?

well, the only thing i can think of is that if you let the battery drain, and it still doesnt work when you plug it back in, call APPLE tech support. they should be able to know exactly what that means.
