I'm a mother of 2 boys who are 13 months apart. Talk about a handful. I'm a wife to the best husband I could have ever dreamed of.

I have Bipolar 1 Disorder. I hate taking all these medications and always going to doctors appointments, but life is too short to let mental illness get the better of me.

Often times life is a challenge, and nobody knows that better than me. I wake up wondering if this is going to be a day my illness overpowers my meds, and either sends me flying like a bat out of hell, or leaves me laying on the couch like a wet dish rag.

Thank all that is good in the world that I have an excellent support system at home.

I'm honest, and that can either be a perk or s flaw. Depends on how you choose to look at it.

Monday is "Character Day" at my school, anyone have any cool or fun ideas of characters I could be? Blonde hair, green eyes, 5'5", normal weight if that helps with any ideas or anything. :] thanks!

You can be the "Swiss Miss" character from the hot cocoa mix.
If your hair is long enough to put into two braids.
You can carry a basket filled with boxes of Swiss Miss cocoa.

I don't know if that is a good idea, but I highly doubt you would have to worry about anyone else coming in the same costume.

The inside of my lips really hurts. There's a white mark there..I don't think it's a cut or anything. I think it might be a bacterial thing or something..Like if I flap my bottom lip over you can see it. I don't know what it is. I just got my teeth cleaned if that helps? Pleease help

First things first: Call your dentist's office and ask if this is common after getting your teeth cleaned.
If you think it is something bacterial, you should set an appointment with your doctor so you can get antibiotics if necessary.

how would i send someone in a different state a mixtape through the mail? what do i use? where do i start?

If you are wondering how to mail it, this is what you do:

You get an envelope of the appropriate size. You can get larger envelopes from the post office so you can buy just one, rather than a whole pack.
You put your tape in, addressed as normal, and you take it back to the post office, have them weigh it and they will give it the correct postage for it's weight, then you just pay them what they need.
I highly doubt you will need more than a couple bucks for postage, but to be on the save side, take $5.00 with you for postage fee.

I really like this guy named Rob. We spent the ohter nite together a whole hour on the phone (i'm not one to talk to guys on the phone) and no awkward silences either. hes so easy to talk to, and we hung out at the football game too. He would put his arm around me and stuff. Yet, whenever anyone asks him who he likes, i'm not on his list. Which is fine, it just doesn't make sense to me why we would talk aand be so close and everything. Anyway, at a dance we danced a lot, and then everytime he txts me he is always like i really want to hang out, and all this stuff but my parents wont let me hang out with guys. One thing about him i really dont like is that he has gone all the way. I haven't. And he makes a lot of sexual jokes a lot, but most of the time its only around his friends. My friend thinks he is just using me for sex, and i really dont know if he is or not. What do you think?

Well, I can't really tell you from this info weather or not he is using you, but what sounds VERY strange to me is that you are so close to him, he makes sexual comments toward you, yet you AREN'T on this list of girls he likes.

That alone would tell me to steer clear of this guy.

i have a horrible habit where i pull out my eyelashes/eyebrows. it's been going on for about 5 years now. these days i usually go 2 months without doing it at all & i look great; but then i like relapse & do it once & then i can't stop. like a few minutes ago i just ripped out like 20 eyelashes; & i can't take it. it's not as simple as just saying stop. i usually don't even REALIZE that i'm doing it. & a lot of people make fun of me for it; & if they ask about it i always pretend that i don't know what's going on & then i go home & cry. i've wasted too much time with this. & i know if i keep it up that they'll stop growing back one day. i look like i have a disease; & i know it's so horrible for the people who DO look like this because they have diseases; but i don't. it's not just because of how i look when i do this. i just can't take it knowing that i punish myself when somebody gets me mad or i'm bored or whatever. i put bandaids on my fingers to stop me from doing it; but it just makes everything else more difficult for me to do. PLEASE HELP ME IN ANYWAY YOU CAN!!!!! 14/f.

Well, it is about the same as biting or picking your nails. It is like a nervous habit.
The best thing I can tell you to do is to try to replace that habit with another that doesn't leave you looking that way.

Ok so I met this guy online. I never talk to anyone I dont know online this is the first one ever. Im 16, hes 20. I know it sounds stupid, but I really like him. I never gave him my address or last name. After I talked to him awhile online i gave him my cell phone number and we've been talking alot. I wanted to meet him at the mall this weekend but it didnt work out. Ive never done anything like this ever, and am not that kind of girl. Im very close with my parents and tell them everything. Ive never been in a real realationship. I think i might be over my head. Im not too into him and ive been trying to be realistic.

My real problem however is that I told my mom today. She is furious. She told me that I have endangered our family, that he can figure out our adress from giving him my number, and that she cannot believe how stupid I am. I read an article in seventeen about a girl who met someone online and talked to him on the phone and had her parents meet him and that everything was OK. I tried to find that article but i cant...

You are trying to be realistic- that is good. You have to remember, while being realistic, that your mother is really right to be upset about this. I mean, you have never actually met this guy, so you really don't know for fact he is who he says he is. He can lie about his age and send you pictures of somebody else, claiming that is pictures of him.
Even if he is 20, like he says, or is they guy in pictures he sends, he COULD be a rapist, a murderer. You never know. You have to be extra cautious about these things.

A friend of ours met a woman by dating online, and things worked out well for them- they have been married now for some time. But you can't trust that things will work out so well for you, with so many predators online.

I would really like to have the piano tabs for the Decemberists song "O Valencia." I can't find anything on any of the best tab websites, and to make it worse, there's this guy on youtube who plays it on piano, and he's amazing, and he won't give up the tabs. Where can I find them? Please help.

I searched piano tabs and piano sheet music for this song and came up with zilch.
Best bet at this point? Go to your local music store (the kind that sells instruments, not CDs...) and ask them if they have it in stock. If not, they can surely order it for you from their sheet music suppliers.
Sorry, I know that may not be much help, but it is the best option I can give you for this song.

Hey, me and my sister got on the conversation topic of donating organs. My sister really wants to be able to help someone and donate a kidney. She's only 16 years old, so I think its illegal, unless you have a family memeber that needs it?

I also wanted to consider something, like bone marrow, but I'm only 14. Any suggestions?

I was reading that a lot of people die because no one will donate Organs.

If you all are interested in donating organs, talk to your doctor. Like theymos said, there could be complications with your young age.
What is illegal is not donating, but SELLING organs.

Something else you can do, is when you get your drivers license, tell the DMV you wish to be an organ donor in the event of your death. They will put a "DONOR" sticker on your license. (Assuming you live in the US)

the irony of this is that people normally consider me a good advice giver...

for years now ive been trying to help people by giving advice but it just does not really work for me anymore
im wondering wats the best way to go about giving advice and what needs to be taken into consideration
basically im asking how do all you people do your jobs...

I either give advice from my own experiences, from putting myself in the asker's shoes, or, considering most on this site asking are teens, I tell them the same thing I would tell my own son when he hits his teen years.

Well, the best thing I can tell you is that when you think of how much you like him in that way, that nothing will ever come of it. You can't change him, not saying you would or that you want to.
But it is hard to say the typical thing which is spend time away from him to gather yourself, because he is your best guy friend.
Can he be gay at age 14? I don't know that answer, but if he says he is gay, then he surely is.

is it considered geeky for a girl to play the sims on the computer. i play it a lot but i don't talk about it with friends or anyone really because nobody else plays it and i don't want to be considered a geek. i hate geeky guys who rather play video games than go out and party. i'm not geeky am i?

I guess I just don't understand how enjoying to play a video game makes you a geek. I mean, it isn't like you revolve your world around playing Sims. (Yes, some people revolve their lives around playing games, which is unhealthy.)
Don't worry that you are a geek, and just enjoy your game. That is what you bought it for. Correct?

My freshman Homecoming is next Friday, and I need to lose as much weight as possible by then because My dress looks pretty bad on me. What can I do to make everything smaller? I'm going with this guy that I really like, and I want to impress him.

If you lose weight at a healthy rate, then that is about 4 pounds per week.
There is no miracle diet to make you lose lots of weight in 7 days. :(

Try inviting her to sleep over. Stay up all night talking about everything.
Try to do it once or twice a month so you have time alone to sit up all night and regain that dwindling closeness.

alright.. so ever since i told my boyfriend that i wanted to wait awhile to have sex.. it seems like things have really changed.. when we first started dating he always called me and when we were together he would tell me that im beautiful and sweet and perfect.. he even told me that he loved me.. but now he NEVER says nething like that.. do you tihnk its because of sex? i mean i know a lot of you girls out there have boyfriends.. and dont oyu think its weird if your boyfriend came over .. played his psp for an hr and then said he had to leave in an hr to play cards.. and said that he would call you later.. and doesnt call you the next day til 3:30? and then we talked at 3:30 for about 5 min and he said he would call me back and he never did so i started callin him around 8:30 and i called him like 6 times before he picked up and was like hey im playin cards and the call was lost.. and i tried to call him back like 5 but he never answered and hasnt called me back? am i just being too obsessive or what bc this really seems like not enough effort to be in a relationship with me.. please help i hate this feeling :(

Well, if he totally changed his behavior simply because you want to wait to have sex, then he really doesn't have much respect for you, your feelings, your wishes.

Personally? I would move on and find somebody who respects you and what you want. This guy sounds like a real jack ass.

okay i met this guy 10 days ago and hes cute,nice and quiet guy i thought he was cute and he was walking on the hallway so 1st time i tried talk to him by saying i saw him on myspace and after that we started talking and he dropped me off to my class, and after that we keep saying hi to eachother and we began hugging and poking eacother on the stomach and now he hugs me really tight and sometimes when he hugs me he puts my head on his chest when we see eachother and he pokes me on the stomach and stuff and he started hangout with me and my friends and when i sit somewhere else he says"sit here" next to him and he was trying to hold my hand by asking whos hand is bigger. and i like him too but the thing is do you think we're going too fast? because i just met him 10days ago and now we're hugging so tight and stuff am i being easy too? what do you think about this question? and do you think he likes me?

Well, being easy would be something like having sex with this guy you barely know.

You are only going too fast if either of you feel you are. Hugging, holding hands, sitting by one another, and the like is something I don't see anything wrong with.

i have light brown hair with kind of faded blonde highlights, and my hairs really thick and wavy and curly at the same time. i usually straighten my hair though. but it looks good curly but i dont liek how its really thick. are there any good hair products that could make my hair feel less thick? and also what are some others to help it look shinier or healthier and stuff?

I have really thick hair, too.
The thing about having it thinned that sucks is you have to keep doing it. They take comb-like shears and basically cut some hairs short to make your hair thinner overall, but it grows back and you are faced with the same problem. Been there, done that.
What I do now is have my hair cut with shorter layers. It takes a LOT of weight out of your hair without looking weird when it grows back- it looks good between trims.
As for shinier, healthier hair, get a salon quality deep conditioner and use it at least once a week.
