Maybe you should focus on other things like other guys... I have a similar problem but the guy I like wont belive me when I say I love him well he will but he doesnt belive me... I think that you should carry on being friends and when the time is right then tell him that you had or still have feelings for him... you never know he might feel the same way about you eventhough he says he is gay... also yes it is possible to be gay at 14. My best friend is gay...I love him...not the same way you love your gay friend but it was still a shock to me. It could be just a phase he's going through or he could actually be gay...talk to him about it and see what happens...the worst he could do is actually be gay

A) Most kids at your age have sexual feelings for the same gender and have to experiment before choosing . I highly doubt he has experimnted yet , Just wait and see .
B) Wait a while agian at your age most people change who they like every month .
C) I have NEVER been in this poistion and I know nothing of this subject , Just using from information what has been given . You know him best , For all we know he's a typical teen . You make the descion , You know him best .

Well whatever you do, dont let him know that you liked him, that will be very uncomfortible for you and him, as time goes on you will get over him, and love him as a friend.
Yes, it is very possible that he can be gay at 14, make sure you let him know that your comfortible with his choice and that youll support him not matter what =]

Well, the best thing I can tell you is that when you think of how much you like him in that way, that nothing will ever come of it. You can't change him, not saying you would or that you want to.
But it is hard to say the typical thing which is spend time away from him to gather yourself, because he is your best guy friend.
Can he be gay at age 14? I don't know that answer, but if he says he is gay, then he surely is.
