mkay. sooo I'm a senior. and the next step is college. I'm interested in so many diff. category's that it sucks. its kinda like, when i find something that i want to do, i end up finding something wrong with it. I'm interested in things from medical to culinary to business to film making! my problem is that i don't want to end up majoring in something i think i like, but in the long run end up hating it. I'm not sure what i should do. I'm not even sure what college to go to. i know this is really bad and time is running out, but I'm so indecisive that its making me crazy. how do i figure out whats best for me??

thanks in advance,
Jill =/ (link)
Coming from someone who just went through this last year, I would suggest going into school as an undecided major. I would go to a local college (just for the first year) and try a few courses in all of the majors you are interested in. This will help you to understand what you want to do and then you can transfer to another school that has a strong department in that program. But I will tell you now that the majority of college students change their majors at least once during the time they are in school so don't make anything too definite. Be flexible.

this is gross but my vagina smells sooo bad. like it just happened, it usually never smells but it has been and idk why, im not sexually active or anything...does anyone know why and what i can do to stop the odor? thankssss (link)
It's probably just a yeast infection. I would go to your doctor and he/she will give you a prescription for an antibiotic that will clear it right up.

I got my first period 11 days ago.
It stopped on day 5 in the evening. Then in the afternoon of day 6, it started again a little lighter but still. Then that evening it stopped again. It kept starting and stopping right up until this morning, and it still hasn't stopped for good.

I know that a period is supposed to last 4 to 10 days, but is it supposed to start and stop like this? It's my first... (link)
well there is your answer...it's your first. I can take up to two years for a period to regulate. You may have irregular periods or skip periods for the next two years, but if the trend continues after two years I would suggest seeing a gynecologist about getting on birth control to regulate it.

what store can i get a a spanx t0 make me look slimmer? (link)
All lane bryant stores sell spanx.

im only 15 years old but for the past couple monthes ive had TERRIBLE NECK pains..all through out the day and night..even if i lay down it still hurts..no matter what i do..I'll wake up in the middle of the night with really bad aches and pains..Im only 15? i don't think i should be getting that lol (link)
severe neck pain is a common symptom of meningitis (as well as other things). I would suggest having your parents take you to see a doctor just to rule out anything severe.

Okay well I am 16 and I'm still a virgin. But I do masturbate. Anyways, about three months ago I had my period. And then it skipped a month. But I heard that every two years it skips a month, and that was my two year. So I had it again last month. And I'm suppose to get this month. And I usually get them on the last week of the month. But I didn't get it this time. I have been stressing out, but not a lot. I've stressed more & I still got it before. But just recently we had some new roomates move in. And they use our bathroom. And they're pretty young, they're like in their early 20s. Anyways, they were a couple & they would go in the bathroom together & I guess they'd shower together. There is a possibility that they had sex in shower. Well, I use the same restroom & I recently had my ankle sprain so it hurt to stand. So without thinking, I sat down in the shower. Could there have been sperm when I sat down? Please help. Thanks in advance. (link)
well sperm dies quickly so I doubt that you're pregnant. I would also like to tell you that you have been misinformed. You do not skip a period every two years, but it can take up to two years for a period to regulate. If you are past two years then you might want to speak to your gynecologist about any problems you might have. It might be nothing though...but it's always nice to be informed properly.

is lindsay lohan a lesbian with samantha?

is samantha a lesbian? why does she dress like a guy / sorta look like a guy? or is she just a cross-dresser? (link)
yes lindsay lohan and samantha ronson are dating. They have been for a while now. Samantha is an open lesbian, Lindsay is not. I don't know why she dresses like a guy, i guess she's just more comfortable that way.

hi my vagina is itchy like a lot. Its not itchy 24/7, but it itches quite a lot. I also have a whiteish discharge, not all the time but sometimes. Could i have a yeast infection? Or something else? (link)
It's most likely a yeast infection. I suggest seeing your doctor. He or she will give you an anti biotic to clear it up.

i really like these bracelets, they're like made out of rope and people can make them our of string or something i really really like them and i want one, does anyone know where i can find them? or a website that teaches me how to make them? thankss (link)
Ben Franklin's, Hobby Lobby or any local craft store will carry them or kits to make them.

16-f
never been to a formal homecoming but me and my boyfriend decided we'd go for kicks.
i need some ideas on Short not super short but about knee legth dresses that i can find something cute from.
& shoes that would go with. im bad with cordinating things.
the only Jewerly i have is white gold so i would like it to go with that.
im not looking to spend over $$100

if it helps i have medium brown hair about shoulder length.
Hazel eyes (brown, Gold, & Green)
and fair colored skin
hieght 5'6"er7"ish
Weight about 120lbs. (link)
I would check out Dillards...they usually have shorter dresses for homecoming, JC Penney also carries a really nice selection.

so i take birth control and i have been for over a year. last month i switched to a new brand of birth control pills and now i am on the inactive pills and my period has still not started. i was wondering what this could mean? also i am worried that i may be pregnant just because my boyfriend and i did not use a condom for the first time this month. anyway.. what could be the reason for me not starting my period? (link)
It takes around 6 months for your body to adjust to a new pill. Doctors advise that women don't have sex (unless they use a condom) during this time because the pill may not be as effective. I usually don't start my period until the 4th or 5th day of my inactive pills so it could be the pill you're on. You may not have a period until your body adjusts so as a precaution I would definitely take a pregnancy test.

My 12 year old son has a neighborhood friend (who spends alot of time at our house). He is a very nice boy, who doesn't have alot of friends because he can be "a pain in the neck" (according to my son) and we believe because of his hygiene. His odor is very offensive and we don't even like when he sits on the furniture in the house. He has been in the car with us on a few occasions and it is necessary to open the windows to cut some of the smell. Here's the really tough part... how do we handle this. I would like to pull him to the side and speak to him about taking showers and wearing clean clothes, but the other part of me thinks we should speak to his parents. The problem with this is his mom is not very "clean" either. What should I do?? (link)
This is a bit difficult, but his parents seem to be the source. If he doesn't come from a "clean" family then chances are that he wont be either. Approaching the boy could upset his family if he talks to them about it, but approaching them could upset them too, but I think that if you approach his parents (since they are adults) they might sit down and talk with their son. If there is no change after a while then I would consider talking to the boy about hygiene.

A question just popped in my head and I was wondering can a tampon pop your cherry because I think I popped mine but I'm not sure. (link)
Yes, a tampon can pop your cherry.

Does anyone know if there's an online version of the book Catalina's Riddle by Steven Saylor? Or any sites that can give me information of it like sparknotes?(It's not in sparknotes or cliff's etc.) I checked out 3 different libraries that were possibly close to my location and 5 different book stores and no luck. Some of them said that the book doesn't come out until around November, but I'm not sure because my Latin teacher assigned it to us for summer break so it must be out somewhere or something.. (link)
well it's been out since 1994. I had to read it in my Latin class too. I got my copy on Amazon.com...it arrived a couple of days later. I think that would be your best bet.

http://www.janecosmetics.com/productDetail.asp?productId=96

is that a good powder?

i got the colorless one, is it really no color ? or is it just the name?
(link)
I can't tell you if it's good or not because I've never used it, but the colorless one will probably be a light yellow or whitish pink. It will not show up as any sort of color on your face. It's a finishing powder and it's supposed to help keep your regular foundation on. It's just a translucent powder to help finish your look and should not be used as any sort of powder to hide blemishes.

where can i buy merle norman? its not in sephoras website.. (link)
you have to go to merle norman store. You can go to the merle norman website (merlenorman.com) and click on studio locator. Enter your information and they will tell you the closest store to you.

Hey, I was wondering if you knew of any good vocal sprays. I've looked online at "clear voice" and "vocal eze", but I seem to find quite a few comments about problems with the products. I've been searching for a professional vocal spray but have had no luck. Any help? Thanks! (link)
I've been singing since I can remember and I absolutely live by clear voice. I prefer the peach flavor (but you really have to like peaches lol). They have loads of different flavors for all different taste buds (but I find that they all taste pretty bad, but it's not supposed to be candy lol). I've used vocal eze before and was really unimpressed. I found that clear voice was better for my voice. I think it's different for everyone. I know people who live by vocal eze and find that clear voice doesn't work for them so I suggest trying one and seeing how it works and then trying the other and seeing which works best for you.

fyi, if you girls wont recommend any of these, CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT ARE SOME WORTH-BOUGHT PRODUCTS that are similar to those products above??

thankss.. also the cheaper versions!!!!

thanks again =]] (link)
speaking for myself I totally love smudge pots! the double up as a shadow and a liner. It's awesome! I know that they seem a bit pricey...but I find that I don't mind the price as long as I know I will use it and I know that it will stay on a long time (I have really oily skin so its tough to find long lasting make-up.) Usually the stuff at drugstores doesn't last very long on your face or in the container. As for the foundation, I wouldn't go with either one. If you're going to go to sephora to buy I would get the bare minerals. It's the best by far at sephora...but my personal favorite is at merle norman. They have several different types of foundations and they will match you and find out which one will work best with your skin. On average they are about 22 dollars but last a long time (a little really goes a long way) and have great long lasting coverage.

Hi i saw that you answered someones question about gynocologist and i have a question about it too.
Im 15/f almost 16 and from what i have heard, the gyno sounds really scary. In health class i learned that you have to go when you are 18 or when you start having sex. well my question is do you HAVE to go? like is it mandatory? because i learned they stick some large q-tip in your vagina and and swab something i dont know. but I dont want to go. It sounds really scary to me and the worst part is that I am really shy about my body parts and I dont want some stranger doing tests on my private parts. I would be really embarressed. and the part that sucks more is that I cant even handle tampons yet, so how can i handle someone doing tests on me?

please help and thank you!

- a nervous soon to be 16 year old... (link)
The gynecologist isn't so scary. I started going when I was 14 because that is when I started birth control pills...when you start the pill you should start going for regular pap smears. You don't have to start going until you are 21 or become sexually active...and yes...you HAVE to go. I know it sounds really scary...I thought it would be too, but it really wasn't that bad.

My gynecologist is the same doctor who delivered me so I was really comfortable because he was the first person to see my parts in the first place lol. What happens is you will go in and undress. you will lie on a table and put your feet in some stirrups. First he or she will do a breast exam to check for lumps and then they will turn on a bright light and use a spectrum (a plastic or metal stick...in virgins they use one that is smaller than a tampon) and it will open the vagina and they will take a swab to check for any sort of disease...you can't feel the swab at all. It's a bit uncomfortable when the spectrum goes in, but ask long as you stay relaxed everything is fine and it wont hurt. Then they will take two fingers and push up against the lining of the uterus. you may feel some pressure but no pain. It only takes about 5 minutes for the whole procedure and the main reason it is done is to check for cancer.

It really isn't mandatory...but I think that every woman needs to go. The first time is a bit awkward, but after that it's no big thing. Shop around for gynecologists. You can go in and talk to different doctors and then pick the one that is right for you. you'll feel better as long as your comfortable. It's not bad at all...in fact I have my next one next week...you only go one a year and it helps you keep in check with your body and it's the only real way to check for cancer of the uterus. Good Luck!

I am 5 feet and weigh 180 pounds...I really love eating junk food w/o control and I hate healthy food and I don't excersize...I know there is no easy way to do this, but I really want to look nice, but I don't want to give up junk food...is there something I can tell myself to just stop? (link)
Believe it or not...there are two types of eating disorders...those that make you want to look thinner and those that come from having no control over what you eat. You might just have the latter. I would suggest talking to a doctor and setting up an appointment with a doctor recommended nutritionist. You need to get this under control. Coming from someone who didn't do it before it was too late (I'm diabetic now...but that's what turned me around and I don't have to take medicine anymore) but you need to stop your current habits before you end up like I did. I always knew I was going to get diabetes(even when i was skinny...it's really prevalent in my family)...I just didn't think that I would be 16. I've had it for 3 years now and I've never been healthier...it just took a horrible diagnosis to make me turn around.

I think that you need to see someone soon before you end up changing only after the disease hits. Talk with your dietitian about ways that might work for you and work out a strict diet plan. It's the best thing that you can do for yourself.
