geeky girl

Question Posted Wednesday September 26 2007, 6:33 pm

is it considered geeky for a girl to play the sims on the computer. i play it a lot but i don't talk about it with friends or anyone really because nobody else plays it and i don't want to be considered a geek. i hate geeky guys who rather play video games than go out and party. i'm not geeky am i?

no, everyone at my school likes the game, even if they dont have it. but just dont get too obsessed where it detracts alot of time from your life and your fine. its not geeky. thats like saying playing any video game makes you a geek but thats not true unless like.. your really a geek which you seem to not be. tho nothings wrong with being a geek or whatever either... just be yourself and tell people what you like because your true friends would just accept you for it and if some people wouldnt thats their shit and you dont deserve friends like that anyways

The Sims? Geeky? I bet if you ask real geeks they'd laugh at you for even suggesting that. The Sims is just too mainstream to really be considered "geeky".

Don't worry about people considering you as a geek. Just don't spend too much time playing.

I guess I just don't understand how enjoying to play a video game makes you a geek. I mean, it isn't like you revolve your world around playing Sims. (Yes, some people revolve their lives around playing games, which is unhealthy.)
Don't worry that you are a geek, and just enjoy your game. That is what you bought it for. Correct?
