Are 5th generation iPods obsolete? I literally JUST got mine before the new ones came out and there's a bunch of people parading around with iPod minis ALREADY. I like my iPod, it's compact, it holds 30 gig, maybe not as much as the new ones, but I barely have half of it filled. Is 5th gen just considered old and chunky or whatever? And, with iPod minis, what do they do? Are they like iPod videos or iPod nanos or what? Because I paid like over $200 for mine, it's my baby, but are the new ones like replacing EVERYONE'S? What do these people DO with their "old" iPods? Are people just getting new ones because of that, they're new and the "old" ones are just that, old? What's the point if the "old" ones are perfectly good? (link)

i agree with the other person. ya got ripped off. i mean nobody i know has had the ipod mini since.. like about 3 years ago. then they had nanos, then videos, and now theres minis. thats why before you make a big purchase like that always look around to see whether you should REALLY get it and if is a fair deal. and i dont get why you rated him/her a 1, cause they are right. we are giving advice, its not always going to go the way you planned. i think i like ipods generally for music, and i didnt want to get the video ipod cause it was too big and expensive. though i still kinda wanted video too, so the new nano video ipod is perfect for me. i think that ipod touch is a little ridiculous though, like the iphone. so i think you made a mistake. it may not be too late, if they let you return the ipod for a new one tho. :)

its hard to get peoples trust through the internet.. especially since your a guy so if you want to be just friends with girls and meet them alot may reject since you could be some 40 year old perv. go on chat sites.. like habbohotel.com, or yeah, aim.com or like basically any interactive site and you'll make friends and hopefully they'll trust you enough and you could meet in real life n stuff. or you could try making friends like outside of the net, its easier since you know directly who your being friends with and such.

well theres a simple answer. just take a risk! its hard to explain.. dont do something too crazy where you could really get hurt or anything, but sometimes you just say "screw it!" and do it anyways. always think of whats there to lose and whats there to gain by taking the risk.

How do i boost up my confidence ? Im thirteen and I want to be the "outgoing" girl again. I used to be fun to be with, funny, everyone loved, kinda girl but know I dont know what happened to me. Im in eight grade and am trying my best to make the best year out of it. ( I mean it's 8th grade! )
Another point is, I want to do stuff and not get embarrassed for it. [doesnt really have to do with all school stuff] Like whenever for example I would read script I really want to get the part for [in a play], when it's my turn to read IGET REALLLLLY NERVOUS like in my mind i think, What the HELL? I was so excited for ths and now why is my heart beating SOO FAST and i wanna do my best on it... and then like when i'm alone and try to read it, it sounds so good! but when it's in front of someone or some PEOPLE (even my OWN family) I get really nervous and feel like backing up. How do I change that in me? Please help, Im always like this, probably all my life! I want to be an actress and how do i not be scared in front of people (even JUST READING!!!)

So how do i become this outgoing girl again that everyone wants to be "Bestfriend!" with and you know like cool again when people know you stopped being it.. like won't it be weird all of a sudden you change? How do you NOT make it weird? Sorry about the many many questions. lol .

well i dont have all your answers but i know some. um first of all i got nervous a lot too, i always do, like whenever im auditioning for a part or doing something in front of the class thats graded and is really important. unless im in a group. or otherwise if its just for fun i dont mind and i can go crazy with it without getting nervous. i used to be way more shy before.. and im the same age as you, 13 in 8th grade and i was def awkward and stuff around 5th and 6th grade but it started to change in 7th grade and now i love the way i am (well most things hehe). um to not get nervous.. its hard to do but try like practicing infront of your friends and family first to get used to it. like im in my school musical and before i tryed out it really helped to get my friends and family's opinion since i was gonna sing a song. before i used to think i could never do that but now im used to it and i can sing in public.. its easier than doing it infront of people you arent as comfortable with. reach your goal in steps. and.. when your presenting something, maybe like have a rubber band and play around with it and it helps me and a lot of people i know (sometimes ive seen teachers do it) relax themselves by fidgeting around with it while they talk. but like ive said its really important to practice infront of people your comfy with first (just say 'screw it' and read in front of them anyways. they wont judge or make fun of you anyways, they're your friends/fam) because if your too nervous to do that, forget trying out infront of people you hardly know. and i know what you mean.. but i guess we all go through our stages.. you'll probably break though that.. and just be yourself. ive never really been like afraid to do that, and ive learned to like leave people you dont like to be around, or bad friends that are only there for the good times and not when something bad happens to me (even tho i help them in their time of need cause thats just how i am), and basically just be true to myself. i mean.. lifes too short to be wearing a mask for too long, so like yeah with you when you feel like changing just change! some people might just feel so crappy about themselves they'll may make fun of you or whatever for the sudden change but thats just sad.. and people will see how fun you are then and will want to make friends with you. leave those other losers in the dirt who wont help you. but dont be mean to them either.. since you dont know the troubles that may have happened in their life. like lol we just had an assembly yesterday about kinda what i was saying.. like being yourself and blah blah and the guy said to tell like 10 people they were beautiful (people we didnt kno) and smile and say hey to random people in the hallway. our class was so enthusiastic i swear i said it like 50 times and freaked out the little 7th graders who didnt have the assembly haha ok i get OT a lot but yeah.. wow that didnt even relate to your question really... lol. and yeah to get rid of fat all you have to do is get active and eat right foods. for lunch dont buy school lunch so much since you dont know how many calories and blah is in it. even salads have lotsa cals, especially those at micky d's. um so pack your lunch with stuff like.. this is just what i do, but like whole wheat bread and inside i put usually organic peanut butter or laughing cow cheese on it, an apple, and water. thats my lunch. all my friends think im like a psycho health freak haha but idc.. like i cant believe some of my friends eat such shit everyday.. and they think that just cause they're thin it wont affect them at all. it will. you can still be a little fat and healthy at the same time. but like really.. other than eating right (and at home drink lotsa water (NONE OF THOSE GAY VITAMIN WATERS. you dont need all those xtra vitamins and sugar. just drink water.) and it helps a lot to lose weight, and... dont eat too much sweets or too salty things n stuff like that. dont just assume the calories.. ask your mom, dad, whoever makes food for you, or read the food labels yourself. look online for the food pyramind and follow it. yeah so other than that getting active like.. do a sport. basketball, volleyball.. dance, other winter sports. i mean you can run everyday in the morning to get stamina and stuff but honestly ive done that and im lazy so i prefer to do sports where its competitive and not like.. k i gotta run around this circle or whatever.
act how you would want your bestfriend to act with you and other people. you probz know how to be outgoing just be it! screw what they think, they'll get over it (like ive saidd) and some will become great friends with ya, trust me! :]

no, everyone at my school likes the game, even if they dont have it. but just dont get too obsessed where it detracts alot of time from your life and your fine. its not geeky. thats like saying playing any video game makes you a geek but thats not true unless like.. your really a geek which you seem to not be. tho nothings wrong with being a geek or whatever either... just be yourself and tell people what you like because your true friends would just accept you for it and if some people wouldnt thats their shit and you dont deserve friends like that anyways

me and all my friends are 13. my friend and her boyfriend have been talking about oral, and fingering, ans sex.. he has a concom, and she says shes ready, and shes been talking about it with my other friend who also really wants it too. they say there prepared, and so are there boyfriends. the problem is im not supposed to know this, so i cant talk to them abou it. and plus im not sure if she was telling the tuth, or just saying that, but when everyone found out, she got mad, and i think it means it was true. i really cant do anyhting to help her, but i wanna know if thirteen is too young. I'm a thirteen year old girl too. and every other 13 year old and younger i know, including myself, arent ready to have sex. i mean, sure kissing and stuff like that is okay, but like the fingering and like sexual intercourse thingy.. no. kids are growing up too fast! it seems like you kinda feel the same way, that shes not ready, since you're scared for her. um.. i dont know what to say. maybe you should talk to her about it, and try to convince her not to do it. or maybe tell some adult you trust about it, but dont pick someone who will probably like get them in trouble. maybe the person could be some cool teacher or something that can explain how they just arent ready to have sex yet. i mean jeez, not that she has to like do abstinence, but she should atleast wait till highschool and up. but anyways, bottom line is that she is not ready.
you must be a good person to try and help your friend like that, too. :] dont worry, even if your friend gets mad at you, if things dont turn out in the better for her, like she knows you told an adult on her, just think to yourself that you actually helped her, because she could have gotten pregnant, or like STDs and lord knows what!

is it just me, or does anyone else think that it would be hilarious for Sanjaya Malakar to win American Idol? I know it's improbable, but each week he escapes elimination I am laughing on my couch...he's just so bad, and in a way i am rooting for him.
A botched american idol seems pretty funny to me even though it's supposed to give someone an opportunity for a career.
american idol needs something else besides the mundane like the past seasons.

its not improbable.. hes in the Top 8, he has a 1/8 of a chance to win. it would be funny if he wins, and yet a good thing in my opinion. hes very popular.. though some people dont like him, others do. and im sure he'll make a lot more money off his cds than a boring contestant with a better singing voice than his. hes just so dang entertaining to watch, and is pretty cute, too. and i love how he changes his hair every week. its random yet cool in a way

oh my god, seriously, what has the world come to...? i read a question on here and a girl had sex at 10 YEARS OLD. i was watching the news a couple of hours ago and an 8 YEAR OLD HAD SEX. yes, an 8 year old. i didn't even think 8 year olds knew what sex meant! on the internet news a 12 year old had sex and killed her own child because she said she wasn't ready for a kid. really, what's wrong with the world? why are people having sex at such a young age? do any of you agree that this is absolutatly crazy? well do you know the person you want to go to prom with very well? get to know this person if you dont, before you make your final decision. dont worry.. if you've been friends with the guy for 5 years, just like tell him that you wanted to go with someone else, or just dont see him that way. it would be tough but its better than lying to yourself and going to prom with him when you preffered someone else. i dunno.. cause if you get to know the guy (again, unless you already know him well. not just like "seeing him in the hallways" like hangout with him outside of school and such.) and dont like the real him, i suggest going with the friend, lol. but as i see it, you have 4 options which you'll have to decide.
1. play it safe and go with the friend. the guy you like wont be heartbroken unless he liked you.. but you didnt say he was your friend, so its not like you lost anything, right? then your friend will be happy and hopefully you seeing him happy will make you happy too and you'll have a good time.
2. take a risk and go with the guy you like. its a risk because he may not like you the way you like him, and if he rejects you, you'll be heartbroken. and then when you turn to your heartbroken friend who you rejected, it will take some time till he forgives you and decides to go with you, if he decides to forgive you. because he may not just wanna be "just friends".
3. go to the prom with your girlfriends, and maybe you'll see your friend at the prom who likes you and then you can dance a little and stuff. so that like you'll be hanging out, he'll be happy and you wont feel weird about going to prom with him since techically your not. your there as a group. also, if the guy you like is at the prom too, maybe you can go there and talk to him and stuff, and dance a little too. dont get too flirty and stuff if your friend is there too, or it may hurt his feelings. if you do this right, everyone will be happy. you'll get to dance with your friends and they'll be happy, your friend will be happy, and you will be happy. (IDEAL OPTION!)
4. go to prom by yourself though i doubt anyone would pick this option, lol.

My little sister is 10. She got her perod when she was 9. She is a pretty big slu* and she had sex 8 monthes ago. So know she is 10 and 8 months pregnant. I would like to know if their is any way she can get an abortion. My mom and dad will be back from their 6 month trip to Paris in 2 weeks and they can't see her pregnant or she will be put up for adoption or something please help, she may not be able to make it through child birth! anyways theres no way around it. your parents are going to find out about it. and i dont think you should like.. get her an abortion without her parents knowing, even if you are her sister. i mean your parents techically own both of you so i dont think you have the right to do that, and make that decision. how old are you anyway? were you the only one home when your parents went to paris? i kinda disagree with the other advicenator because it kinda wasnt your fault that your sister got herself pregnant. but it also kinda is, because your her older sister. you and your parents (they take the blame too) are supposed to teach her morals and such. if you guys did a better job at it, this would not have happened. anyways enough with the criticism. umm i dont think your parents would put her up for adoption. just incase, before your parents come back teach your lil sis how to act better and not be so slutty. teach her that it is wrong and stuff.. especially because shes freakin 10 years old with a baby! try to be um.. like not too harsh and not too unharsh either. listen to what she has to say too and come up with a compromise. and then when your parents come home you can calmly explain what happened.. and.. maybe if your lil sis got better grades (unless shes an A+ student) they wouldnt go so hard on her, lol. but ofcourse dont expect they'll be all sugar sweet about it, either. well.. good luck is all i can say.
also its normal to get your period at nine. i got mine a week after my 10th birthday and im normal.
just.. take better care of her. dont let her get in the situation that she did where she had sex, unless it was rape. i could answer this question better if you provide me with more information.

the clique by lisi harrison is the best! and its kinda like The Gossip Girl books except the girls are like around ages 12-13. they're really good! theres 8 books in the series (1 hasnt come out yet) and i just read the 7th yesterday! i love it and you probably will too.

Not sure where this goes... well I don't neccessarily have night mares per say, I just think about stuff that could happen to me during the night. I think about getting murdered and I actually imagine it to happen as I try to sleep. As creepy as this sounds, it freaks me out when I am lying in my bed. Nothing bad has happened in my town so I shouldn't have anything to worry about but theres always that possibility that something would happen. If you could give me some good tips or pointers on what to do when I think about dying and how I am going to die and what not, they would be greatly appreciated. Sometimes I don't get much sleep because I'm lying awake thinking about this stuff. Help me please... I don't know what else to do. (link)

that happens to me too and probably other people. the thought that you could be killed in the night. but like.. before you sleep, hopefully your christian/catholic pray to god and know that he'll always love you and is watching over you. also, check around the whole house, closing doors and locking front doors, back doors and such, so that you can have a reality check and be like "nobody can get in". try not to think about it as much. dont watch tv before you sleep.. the night has some scary commercials and other bad stuff that you dont need. ha like one time i watched "savin me" by nickelback, the video, in the night for the first time and i was soo scared and freaked out about the "numbers above their head" and the whole dying part that it was hard to sleep. read a good book that kinda takes you away from your life and stuff, and then remember to turn off the lights when you're too tired to continue! i do that when i cant sleep, and it helps. i havent really had a nightmare in ages. if you dont like reading.. well learn to. there are good books out there, no matter what you think you'll like one. even if it isnt all like.. schoolish and junk. like from "the clique" by lisi harrison to like.. "matilda" by roald dahl. pick something thats optimistic.. dont read scary stories and stuff like that in the night!!!! I hope your dreams are better!
