American idol
is it just me, or does anyone else think that it would be hilarious for Sanjaya Malakar to win American Idol? I know it's improbable, but each week he escapes elimination I am laughing on my couch...he's just so bad, and in a way i am rooting for him.
A botched american idol seems pretty funny to me even though it's supposed to give someone an opportunity for a career.
american idol needs something else besides the mundane like the past seasons.

its not improbable.. hes in the Top 8, he has a 1/8 of a chance to win. it would be funny if he wins, and yet a good thing in my opinion. hes very popular.. though some people dont like him, others do. and im sure he'll make a lot more money off his cds than a boring contestant with a better singing voice than his. hes just so dang entertaining to watch, and is pretty cute, too. and i love how he changes his hair every week. its random yet cool in a way

If he wins, I will never again watch the show. He's a goof, and he cracks under pressure.
Anyway though, look at it this way..
Fantasia - What the hell is she doing these days? no one knows, nor cares!
Ruben - He had one song that was a hit, that I don't even remember, no one cares about him either anymore.
Taylor Hicks - What's he doing? NOTHING!
Only Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood are the only ones that really have had American Idol be some sort of amazing happen to them, and make them actual stars!
So if he wins, it won't really matter. He won't be doing anything just like those three, and probably some other people that I haven't listed.

I disagree with all of you. I bought his songs on americanidol.com and he sounds really good and he CAN sing. I think he makes the show really exciting and I always look forward to watching him perform. Go to americanidol.com and go to downloads and listen to clips of his songs. They are really good. He may not be the BEST singer ever but an "Idol" isn't someone that sings AMAZINGLY good. I look up to him because people are so mean to him and make fun of him all the time, but he always walks on stage with a huge smile on his face. If I knew people were saying such awful things about me and I was on americanidol i'd probably cry and quit. But he stays so confident. That's why I think he should win.

ya i agree with you. american idol needs a change. it's always boring mediokre singers that may be popular for a month but after that it's all downhill. lmao just look at william hung he's the worst singer ever but he has 5 albums! i hope sanjaya wins even though everyone thinks its a "conspirasy" and "unfair" that he keeps escaping elimination. i hope he wins!

I get kinda mad about that. He is terrible. It makes me mad that people vote for him so American Idol is "botched" There is some amazing talent this year and I would be really mad if he took the title of "American Idol" and they didn't.
