which is better an Ipod or an Mp3 player and y?

I have a Sony Network Walkman mp3. I'm not sure of how many songs that it can hold. It has a really, really long battery life. I personally think that an Ipod is a waste of money. Just because you can see how long the track is and a calculator and bunches of other useless things. I love my walkman. It was only $100. I'd rather have a mp3 than an Ipod.

I need to find a part time summer job in Toronto.
Promblem is that I'm only 13 years old.

The best thing that I can think of is babysitting. I got a babysitting job during the summer when I was 13. The family paid really good and I watched 2 kids. I made 500 dollars over the 2 1/2 months that I watched them. Make flyers on your computer, include your number, and post them around subways, bus stops, laundromats, grocery stores, apartment complexes, ect.

I am a pepper fiend. I put pepper on practically everything but sweets. My question is, could that be misconstrued as an insult?

My brother's girlfriend kindly made dinner for our family for the first time, a few weeks back. Chicken. Of course, I went nuts with the pepper shaker. The way she looked at me really hurt my feelings. I don't think she purposely shot me down. I think she was just more in shock that I had the nerve to do that. She eats dinner with us everynight, though. She knows my routine. It's nothing new. I still felt like a jerk. I didn't say anything then, but I probably should have. Now it's too late, and I would just like to gather multiple opinions for future reference. I'd hate to unintentionally put somebody (who so generously devoted their time and effort to please me) down.

So if you worked all day to prepare a meal for your guests (even family) and someone were to pepper the hell out of it, would you take offense?

I wouldn't take offense over a silly thing such as pepper.

My mom likes to put sour cream on everything. She puts it in soup, mac && cheese, ect. I like to put sour cream on my pancakes, because I like it that way.

People have their different fetishes. Your brother's girlfriend already knows that you put pepper on everything, so she should be used to it. It's not like it's a huge surprise that you do that with your food.

If she gives you any strange looks, continue putting it on. Don't put on an act for her. If it's what you like, and what you want to do with your food, then go right ahead. It's not like you're picking little pieces of chicken, making disgusted looks, and flicking them aside, you know?

You're going to be eating the food, so you should be the one deciding what you want to do with it.

16/f and I can admit that I can be a bit spoiled/bratty at times but I've been trying to work on it. I really have.


Well, my boyfriend, and I know he doesn't do this to be mean, sometimes calls me things or says things to me about the way I act that really hurt. For example, when I try to get my way (like with what movie we see) he always says "Of course, princess!" and turns away. Well, you'd think that sounds nice, right? NOT.


He started calling me "princess" when he was over at my house once and I was mad because some family thing. When I walked out of the room, my sister and him were talking (so I listen in on conversations, who doesn't) about how if things don't go my way, I think it's the end of the world; like I'm a "little princess".


It pisses me off so much when he does this because he KNOWS that I'm trying to get better. But it doesn't help when he calls me that because I know what it means. And he knows that I know what it means too because I've tried to talk to him about it. He'd stop for like a week and then start saying it again. What can I say or do that'll get it through his head?

Well, your boyfriend should be there to support you, not put you down. Tell him that you're tired of him calling you a princess, and that you're trying to stop being so demanding. If he still calls you 'princess' after that, then break up with him and MOVE ON. Boyfriends aren't supposed to be calling you 'princess'. It might've seemed like a joke for him the first couple of times, but you've got to let him know that its getting to you, and you want him to stop.

So one of my friends and I have everynight been exercising and trying to eat healthy.
And its finally starting to show in our abs, that we've been doing crunches and ab workouts.
My other friend whos not exactly in shape, always tells us negative things abotu what were doing, its like she acts like she doesnt want us to lose weight?


I think she might be jealous, but still, she can exercise and stuff too right?

What do you think is going on?

I think that your friend is a little jealous. She could either be..

A) Jealous that you are finally starting to get into shape and seeing results, and she's not.
B) You're spending a lot of time with your other friend and she may feel left out.

Convince your other friend that its fun to stay healthy, and invite her to one of your little 'sessions'. You guys could talk while you do your workouts and listen to upbeat music.

Sixteen years old and male. I'm not sure why, but I don't talk to my father. I don't hate him or dislike him. My uncle noticed that when he stayed to visit and told me that I need to go up and talk to him more often. I tried to, but I guess after awhile I stopped. What really got to me was that my sister said that to me too, and she's younger than me. I guess it's that noticable. But I want to know what I could do to start conversations and talk. The only time he goes out of his way to talk to me is when he needs me to fix the computer or get him something (and I'm not exagerating). He gets home late and is always busy when he's home.

Should I write him e-mails? He is constantly checking his e-mail. I do feel somewhat uncomfortable talking to him about anything more than the Yankees game. Generally I'm not too open, it's not easy for me - but it's really bothering me now because I want to create an open line of communication, but I don't know how to start or what to do to make sure that once I start it doesn't fall apart. Any advice? Thanks.

That sounds a lot like my dad.

I think that writing emails is a wonderful idea. You can tell him about your day at school, in detail, if you don't get the chance to talk to him when he's at home. You can also send him a funny father/son type of 'e-card' from a site, like americangreetings.com. I did that with my mom when I was at home during the summer, and she was at work. She was a computer programmer, so I would send her humorous ecards throughout the day. I sent her one with a monkey trio singing about bananas and she said that she really enjoyed it.

Where can i find a bathing suit thats 32A and padded for a good price?

My friend asked me the same question. Have you ever been to Burlington Coat Factory? LOL, they don't only have coats, they have a lot of other stuff. I got this really cute Tommy Hilifiger multicolored tropical two piece there and it has padding. It was only 25 bucks. [top && bottom] The colors haven't faded, or anything.

I want to redecorate my room. First though, I have to pick a comforter to base the rest of the room on. I've looked almost everywhere online and I just can't find something I love! I'm one of those really original people... I'm having a hard time finding something that screams "me". Can anyone help me find something to fit me?

Well, there's really nothing you can do. You can't force your friend to be bi also. It's her own personal decision. Just sit her aside, and talk to her and tell her that you are bi. If she doesn't feel like that a relationship will work out between you guys, then you shouldn't keep pursuing the relationship.

There is a pic of mine that I want uploaded on my advicenators page. I have resized it as small as it will go which is a 3 1/2 x 2 which is a wallet size and still I get the message: You tried to upload a picture, but it was greater than 15K in filesize so it wasn't uploaded.
What can I do to fix this?

What is the best way to keep your legs smooth longer? I hate having to shave every so often, and i have to shave since i'm allergic to the like veet and cream things that instantly remove hair and stuff. So ya, how can they stay smoother longer?

I use the Skintimate shaving cream. Sometimes, my legs get really dry after that, so I use baby oil right after I shave and put it all over my legs. The Skintimate company also has this 'after shave' gel glistening mousturizer for your legs. Try those tips.

I want to lose a couple of pounds and i got the whole exrecise portion covered but my problem is healthy eating. I don't know what to eat that's healthy for me. I only want HEALTHY FOOD and the only thing that i know that is healthy is salad and i don't want to be eating that over and over again. It's breakfast time and i'm hungry. What are some healthy alternatives for breakfast, lunch and dinner?? I can go out and buy the foods i need just name some.

I got this from my People magazine's healthy diet issue.

1 cup cereal with 1/2 cup soy mlk
1 banana
1 cup lite yogurt

Lunch -
Salad with grilled chicken and fat free dressing

Those are 2 diet plans that you can try out. I looked on the page, and there was a lot of fancy stuff, so I just sticked with most of the basics so you wouldn't have to go out and blow a bunch of money on food.

School ended jus the other day and I'm really upset about it. I wish i still had to go to school and not have summer yet. I think the main reason is because I'm not going to see everyone everyday. What can I do to get over the saddness?

Go to a summer camp! You can meet a lot of new people and have tons of fun instead of sitting around home and going on the computer all day long. You should still keep in touch with your friends. Plan a fun day together and you guys could go bowling or go play mini golf or something that you all could enjoy. After that, you guys can grab lunch at a local cafe or some other place that people hang out at, and talk about future plans for the summer and what you guys missed most about the school year.

I'm really nervous that this weekend at the beach I will get my period. My mom hasn't got me tampons yet cause I haven't even had my period for half a year. I can't go in the ocean and stuff though. And I am really scared I will get it over the fourth of July at the beach when MY WHOLE FAMILY is there. I want to perticipate in stuff and not worry about my period. What can I do?

Talk to your mom and tell her that you are growing up, and tampons are designed for all ages. Tell her that you want to have fun and not just sit around, eating BBQ and talk, you want to swim and play. There are special tampons that are designed for first time users like you, they're called 'junior' or 'slender' tampons. They're sold with all of the other tampons. Tell your mom about those kinds of tampons. Maybe she'll reconsider. When I was 13, and I got my period, my aunt invited me to go to this really fun water park. I had my period and I was really bummed out because I had asked my mom if I could use a tampon, and she said that I was too young. Then I showed her a bunch of sites explaining tampons, and she reconsidered.
